Avalons have improved a lot over the years. My mom has a '99 Avalon XLS, it's fun to drive, great handling, but not the best acceleration, she wants to get a new one, but they're way overpriced, might as well get a Lexus.
Not really overpriced. The LIMITED which we have had a bunch of features with great ride quality, space and fuel economy. Definitely the best bang for u`r buck in all areas. This is definitely the best car we have owned. It make lexus seem overpriced.

they really cant put a whole lot of more options in the avalon then they would have to badge it as a lexus..so they keep it under 30k starting out to maintain its toyota appeal..if that makes sense lol

I have an 07 Avalon XLS and mine does the same as his, when you slam your foot to the floor it goes all the way to the end of its powerband (which is about 6200rpm).

Nice clip. I just smoked a brand new 528i with my Avalon limited. Thats what I like about this car, not alot of people know how much power its got. Im sure you will beat that Ls but it will be a close call. The 5 speed auto stick really comes in handy.
