This has been very helpful, but I am trying to do a combination of both SUMIFS and VLOOKUP functions. In my case I have Todd and NY on one sheet with his MULTIPLE sales and I would like to add a function on my forecast sheet to look up the total of all of Todd's sales in NY in one cell to compare against his lump some forecast. If you are aware of how to help in my issue it would be greatly appreciated.
@SuperZeppelin1973 Sure, you can get similar results with a Pivot Table. This is just one more tool for your Excel arsenal. If you don't want to go through setting up a PT, you can use this handy function.
I want my "SUMIF" formula to calculate a total from two columns eg. column B2:B70 and C2:C70 I tried the following =SUMIF(A2:A70,"Alex",B2:C70) but this only gives me the total of the first column B2:B70 and ignores C2:C70 ... Please Help =(
Thank you thank you thank you!!! i had a deadline to meet today!!! and because of this im going to meet that deadline!!! thank you again!!

SUMIF is great, but isn't this already handled by Pivot Tables?
