I would like to do this to help people in Africa too, how can I get started, and how long does it take between planting and harvest?

It takes 2 years between planting and harvest. Been thinking about starting a Jatropha project for a while. It's really good because when planted in dry areas it can also fight desertification, which is one of the main reasons to hunger and war in Africa. Really, Soooo many benefits.
