remember this was a long time ago, the gome has changed A LOT, drivvling is completely different, like back then, a crossover was unheard of, the game is really different now its not that they were bad at dribbling
They wore short shorts in the 50s-80s, not the 90s. 70s-80s basketball was the most rough era. Rockets player Rudy Tomjanovich nearly got killed in a game vs the Lakers in 1977 after Kermit Washington punched him in the face and broke his nose.
It's amazing how the game is developing. These guys look ridiculous compared to players today. Even basketball played in the 90's (e.g. the Dream Team of 1992) looks inferior to today's...
@BcroG11. Gone too far man. The 1992 Dream Team would toy with todays NBA. If your talking athleticism then 1990 to present the NBA has been very athletic.
In their defense, the palming rules used to be really strict. If your hand even touched the side of the ball, it was a turnover.
Still goofy white guys in their underpants, but that rule is part of the reason they dribble like that. It's hard to change hands if you can only touch the top of the ball.
a celebrity? lol here in mizzou and all over missouri probably and back at home but i'm talking about celebrity of all of america. we're only popular right around march madness when we win games
Earl Lloyd was the starting power forward and Jim Tucker was a reserve forward for the 1954-55 Syracuse Nationals....thus becoming the first blacks to play on an NBA Champioship team.......
Thats some bad basketball haha its funny how much it has evolved

@BcroG11 uh 90's basketball was 10 time rougher than basketball today. maybe it looked funny in the 90's because they all wore short shorts
llannert 1 year ago
@llannert uh they never wore short shorts in the 90s, only the 40s-80s. 70s and 80s were also much rougher than the 90s
