i read on wiki that he has some interview on here about manic depression..i too suffer from it have have probably long before i was diagnosed...

i think that people in the arts tend to suffer from this..ive been playing bass many years and grew up in a family of arts..and in our world the more grandiose you were..the more talented you were and wild the better you were recieved..i think ppl with manic depression excell in that world..but when your out side of it its rough going..love adam ant.

i'm 37 and remember the early 80's well and he was so consistently good he or his record company saturated the charts to the point of people simply resenting him (the prince charming image was also a bit OTT for some) which is a shame cos the music was always great and he taught the ones that followed quite a few things about the music industry and what it takes to succeed, i.e creativity, dedication, collaboration and hard work.

I hope that the Kaiser Chiefs (and others)have the good sense to ask him to collaborate with them. Listening to 'I Predict a Riot', you can almost hear it as an Adam and the Ants number. He must have influenced so many of the current bands.

He has had to put up with so much over the years, not least - being rubbished by so-called journalists who were not fit to clean his shoes, and the terrible effects of being bi-polar; and yet here he is, looking great. Congratulations and best wishes to him.

I love them and I had not thought about it, but I can see what you mean about I Predict a Riot having that sound. I agree completely. I would love to see Adam make it back into the scene and for younger people to have a chance to experience the excitement of new songs from Adam. I remember how much I loved hearing something new come out. I'd love to feel that again soon.
