  • i've been working on small engines and find it hard to believe that engine is running with out a carb or plug unless its diesel and thats not a diesel engine

  • A diesel engine can run on gasoline (poorly and all the while ruining the engine). Is that the trick? Running it like a compression engine?

  • yep bet its runnin on that gas-o-line without no gas tank

  • there needs to be spark the end

  • why do i see the sparkplug!?

  • so how can it run with no spark...? if there is no spark plug than where is the spark to giv it the fire to go!?!?!?!?

  • that awesome magic trick!

  • this is impossible

  • look below where the carb was looks like a intake of some sort fuel injected maybe

  • not possible

  • he modified the cam shaft to make the motor run on compressed air look closley at the top of the motor u see a hose

  • @lowwgan123 I see a spark plug wire. obviously the motor has been modified since it still runs when he removes the spark plug. That would result in no compression and put the engine to rest instantly.

  • @lowwgan123 yea i did it beofre all u have to do itmake the lobes on the cam shapped like foot balls and boom

  • @lowwgan123 not a hose thats the kill bar you touch to the sparkplug...

  • black magic

  • It's called dieseling. All he needs to do is create enough pressure for the particular octane rating of the fuel and it will combust because of the friction heat energy.

  • @Asylumescapee69 No it's not "dieselling". That only occurs when you have a hot-spot (carbon build up etc) in the head space which will ignite the fuel after the ignition is switched off. He STARTS the engine normally so there is no hot spot and he later shorts the (pretend) plug wire to kill the engine (no dieselling then either). These engines are low compression too (side valve) so using a low-octane fuel to enhance the dieseling effect is not going to work.

  • second engine under the table, no way it can run without the spark hole plugged

  • awesome trick how he takes all the fake stuff off and keeps the real carb and spark plug hidden is cool

  • I suspect there is Sorcery Afoot

There is some guy in Africa that does this same trick using Black Magic!!!

  • i bet its a sterling cycle or steam engine conversion

  • nice trick

  • obviously there isn't any engine that can run without compression... no spark plug... no compression. FAKE

  • fake. you have to have spark and fuel for any engine to run.

  • @FordsRule351 you do not need spark plugs for an engine to run. are you forgetting diesels?

  • The usual spark plug is a fake and the plug hole is sealed (very short plug unscrewed and hidden in pocket). The actual spark plug is behind the engine (connected by left hand) and the normal plug wire is now a kill-switch. There is a carb/fuel source inside the fan shroud feeding to the inlet port, adjusted by the right hand as the movie starts. The normal carb is a dummy. Any engine will run without a muffler. And the "plug" put in the exhaust port has an exit hole.

  • My guess is there is a real engine underneath the table. Note how the engine is recessed into the table. The bottom of the engine is cut out and a drive belt conneects to the shaft of the real engine and crank of the displayed engine. When he pulls the starter cord it is starting the engine under the table.

  • the spark plug is only for starting it the carborater just helps it runn beter now when you get a video of you starting the thing with out that stuff send it to me

  • how is a spark plug only used for starting?

  • @jacob6988 That's the most ridiculous statement I believe I have ever read.Good lord.

  • @jacob6988 your just plain a moron. nothing you said is correct

  • Operating Spark plug &intake hidden under blower housing

  • Please tell me how

  • the little fuel tank, carb, and spark plug are on the side of the cylinder under the shroud with a dummy head on it

  • Wtf people, its freaking compressed air. stop being so amazed.

  • @ntwede its not compressed air

  • @ntwede where are the lines then smart ass?

  • No carb, no spark plug, but no fuel?

    What is under the table?

  • Ether?

  • electric motor under the table

  • @PettyMower You say it has no SPARK plug. You said nothing about a glow plug. So, does it have a glow plug, like a deisel? If not, I don't know. I also have no idea about how it runs without a carb.

  • @ThaMasterSniper Glow plugs warm the air going into a diesel to help it start it doesn't ignite the fuel. Diesels are compression engines.

  • @1977massey Oh, ok. But what is your secret? I simply cannot figure it out.

  • @1977massey no the glow plug ignites it everybody knows that

  • @revlimiter13500rpm Glow plugs are only used on diesels as an aid for starting when its really cold not all diesels even have glow plugs

  • @farmall51a no diesels need them they wont run with out them yo u getting it mixed up with gas engines

  • @revlimiter13500rpm Sorry but Farmal is right. You are confusing gasoline (spark ignition) with diesel (compression ignition) engines. Some diesels use GLOW (not spark) plugs for pre-warming on cold mornings, but these glow plugs are NOT powered when the engine is running. I own 3 diesel trucks which have glow plugs but they are rarely needed.

  • @aussiebug1970 nope my dirtbike has glowplugs

  • @aussiebug1970 my diesel don't need or have glow plugs. sounds like you need to up grade to a quality built cummins diesel pickup not some old IDI piece of shit that even with glow plugs don't like to start when cold.

  • @blownutsmyass I guess you didn't really READ my comments did you. I said that my 3 Isuzu trucks (that's TRUCKS - not pickups) don't usually need the glow plugs they have - they all start without the need for glow plugs first. Cummins engines are fine too - I also drive a 7 car-carrier Louisville with a 380hp Cummins. You don't need to use abusive language - it just makes YOU look like you have a small vocabulory and need expletives to make your point.

  • @aussiebug1970 i guess i don't see the comment you are talking about and it must be different then the one i replyed to. and yes i have a little trouble spelling words in the english language. no need to bad mouth some one for it. only little kids like to do that. in grown up land people don't wine about spelling and a few grammer mistakes in a comment box. its not like we are in school

  • @revlimiter13500rpm you fucking MORON diesel don't need glow plugs. in fact go look up a cummins diesel in a dodge pickup and see if you can find glow plugs. they don't need them and start much better then IDI engines that do have glow plugs

  • Comment removed

  • @revlimiter13500rpm so you comment back with completely incorrect then delete it so you don't look so retarded? get some help you are just to fucking dumb to even be on the internet

  • @blownutsmyass pretty sure the completely accurate comment is right there not deleted ? wait your from texas you cant read sorry for the inconvenience

  • Comment removed

  • @revlimiter13500rpm WOW your a complete dumbfuck and have no clue what you are talking about. get off your mommys tit dumbass

  • @blownutsmyass

your just another fucking typical texan i know some basics about engines but from what i can see this revlimiter guy seams to know a hell of a lot more then you. with this fucking cummins thing it sounds more like a sex position if anything

  • @123buggybuilder dud this game of 2 accounts ant going to work. i can do that to. but you a WRONG again. i live no where ner texas and if your stupid enough to believe that diesels have spark plugs and gas engines have glow plugs you have clearly taken it in the ass way to hard from your step daddy and really need to move out of your moms basement

  • @blownutsmyass blow my nuts out my ass

  • @123buggybuilder if you don't know what a cummins diesel is then you sure don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. stop being a wanabe dumbfuck makeing your self look so retarded all over the world wide web. what a dumbfuck

  • @farmall51a glow plugs are also used on small nitro powered engines such as RC air plains and RC cars. there fuel is a mix of well nitro oil and other additives needed.

  • @blownutsmyass True, but they work quite differently to diesel glow plugs. Diesel glow plugs are only for pre-warming - they are not powered when the engine is running and combustion is just from the heat of compression. RC glow plugs use a battery for starting but are then glowing all the time from the heat of combustion. That's why you use Methanol/nitro instead of gasoline - Methanol will light from this form of glow plug - where gasoline prefers a nice hot spark to light.

  • @aussiebug1970 i,m glade you was able to google search all that and learn something

  • its not running on diesel but it is dieseling...

  • HE TALKS TO GOD OR SOMETHING.....NO DOUT.....

  • Fake Fake

  • All those years I paid for spark plugs and carbs.........it was a damed govt conspiracy i tell ya!!!!!!!!

  • hoe does it run without a carb

  • An electric motor under the table

  • Obviously some fakery going on because no way could the engine run with an open spark plug hole. Aside from that, however, I think I could duplicate this trick. I once read about someone "waterproofing" an engine by creating a makeshift glow plug by drilling a small, shallow hole in the inside of the combustion chamber. This filled up with carbon, which then glowed, and set off the mixture. The engine could run without a carb if you rigged a slow, hidden dribble of fuel into the intake pipe.

  • if you notice when he starts it he reaches under the fake carb and adjusts the idle. also he reaches around the back of the motor . Here is how it works...the carb would not be held on by one bolt through the center of the intake, so there is an addapter plate with a pancake breather tube which locates the carb slightly under the flywheel cover. The spark plug is on the back side of the motor in a conceled braket, transfering the spark via wire to the plug plate in the spark plug hole.

  • Glowplug maybe, the combustion itself keeps it hot enough so it does not die, thats how the little nitro 2strokes run anyways.

  • i can see the sparker and the card i wasnt born yestersay 1975

  • Teh key to the mystery is what we cannot see from the angle the video is taken from. At 0:01 and 0:06 he clearly tweaks somthing. My guess is he tweaks setting on the makeshift carb setup we can't see. original carb just for show. I think the original muffler might also just for show, looks like he plugs the exhaust port later in the video. I wonder if he has a spark plug tapped into the back side too. Post a video showing it running from the other side, and prove me wrong, sir.

  • @stevewatr we made one at my dads shop its not insane....u have to be mechanically inclined..

  • @FootyFanatic09 tell me how and then maybe ill stop thinking your a bullshitter

  • @FootyFanatic09 bull shit ass

  • @gunny426plymouth could it be some sorta pneumatic lines run through it as if its an aircompressor at low motor speed, or is there an electric system operation the system? diesel requires a spark, any kind of fuel at that would require a fuel/air mixing operation. if it was a gas such as propane it would still need a spark, it has to be either electric or pneumatically operated of some sort. the motor has compression so the hole for the spark plug must be plugged.

  • I'm betting there's a second engine under the table.

  • @TestECull

An electric motor under the table would be my guess.

  • If it were running, wouldn't you be able to see the exhaust flame coming out of the exhaust port when he takes the exhaust muffler off?....yes, yes you would.

  • Its not nice to fool mother nature,,,,,no spark no go ...no carburetor, no go so there lots of HIDDEN things in this vid,, however they are concealed, it is both clever and stupid at the same time, looks like an old man with too much time on his hands,,,still entertaining anyway HEH.

  • WTF is that in the background?

  • how the heck is it is still running

  • The fact that people believe this is real boggles me. Although not everyone understands how an engine works, so you could easily be misled.

  • I bet he has another motor bolted under table problemly electric so it keeps engine at same rpmscould be threw hole in bottom of engine to a sprock or small belt pulley like vacum cleaner belt to a pulley or sprock inside motor, ground plug wire flip switch at same time to kill motor,do same thing to start it.Top motor would hide noise of electric motor hid under table. At least thats the way I would build it.Or pulley on end of crank you dont see in video.

  • Oh yeah but whats under the table?????

  • BS THATS WHAT THIS ,POST THIS WITH MAGIC TRICKS.NOT THIS ONE

  • he was back at algonquin this year! its great i love his 17 engine tractor!

  • @gunny426plymouth

I'm guessing that you have a Plymouth....got a few of my own including a Superbird.

  • @PettyMower

Yes I do, a Voyager..... sad isn't it? haha really? I'd love for some video's of that Superbird!

  • i am a small engine expert so i think you should value my opinion this is a machined engine so that it has the allusion that the carb was removed but it is actually behind the engine out of sight-i know this because when he first starts it he is adjusting the chokeith his hand BEHIND the engine and the sparkplug that is removedis actually a dumby one in a cealed hole and the real one is either behind the engine or under the metal shroud for the fan and the dumbyOneYouSeeIsActuallyTheKillSwitch

  • bullshit!!!!!!!

  • freespeachrulez is right, if it is not any trickery, how does it run? Last time I checked, even 2 stroke engines use compression to run. I could see it firing once or twice on the fumes and heat from the previous cycle, but without any fuel to keep it running, and no compression or back pressure, just seems implausible.

  • Why do you put the spark plug away in your pocket so quickly? Could it be a prop to cover up something else ???

  • Well as hard as I try to figure it out I can't. I know that intake, compression, power, and exaust are needed.. with that hole from the spark plug open how is it building any compression to make power? And something must be igniting the fuel.. Please let us know how this works.

  • hows that even possible

  • So many of you are wrong, its running on gas like normal, what it is, the Engine has had lots of machine work done to it, the plug is hidden under the engine tin, the old coil wire in now the kill wire, the heads sealed off where the old plug used to be, the old intake is now sealed and there is a carb at the back of it (Watch him adjust the choke when he starts it)

  • Actual spark plug is on side out of view. So is carb. I saw him pull out and push in choke. Top plug wire is actually kill wire from coil. An engine need 3 things to run. Remove any one and it will not run. Needs spark (at right time) compression and fuel. This is just some dude having fun. No magic. Any engine will run w/o a muffler. Of course, it may not run as good. I have run engines w/o carb. Just keep squirting gas in intake.

  • @forku2umf an engine needs sparks compression and fuel?

fuel yes, spark, not always, compression, also not always....

but my guess is that its made into a piston valve engine, the fuel and intake is in the sump

  • its pretty obvious that this engine is powered by air...and wow i cant believe people think its deisel, THERES NO FUEL SOURCE!

  • I know u can run it with no carb for a cople of seconds

  • ~Short version~

    It's Dieseling.

Spark plug is cut off at about 2 threads in and sealed.

Spark plug is in 2 pieces.

He only pulls out part of the plug and when he screws it back in it makes contact.

With the spark timing set way before TDC to kill the effect when it sparks. (when he re-attaches the wire).

A small amount of fuel in the crankcase.

Very high compression (watch how hard he has to pull the starter).

    Otherwise I don't have a clue.

  • did anyone notice him adjusting a regulator of some kind behind the engine as he was trying to start it the first time? surely this guy doesnt assume everyone watching this is an idiot.. im just sayin.

  • Simple trick demonstration. The engine is running on compressed air through a different inlet because when the spark plug is removed you do not hear a popping sound as the compression would escape through the open spark plug hole. This means the spark plug hole is running a plug. Removing the carburetor is useless because it's not running on the carburetor in the beginning it running on compressed air. Show all in 360° and beneath the table Because this is a real scam. Prove me wrong.

  • how did u do that

  • its running off lipton ice tea.

  • the crankcase has gasoline instead of oil and the spark plug hole is plugged. you can play with the cam timing to increase compression. if i had absolutely nothing else better to do i know i could duplicate this this way.

  • @skirkland1980 if the crank was filled with fuel, it still wouldn't run. This is a 4 stroke engine. the combustion chamber and the crankcase are not linked

  • @alexsuchapimp yes but gasoline would easily bypass the rings

  • @skirkland1980 gas doesn't bypass the rings in the combustion chamber

  • @alexsuchapimp ok and neither does oil...engines never burn oil

  • Comment removed

  • he pulls the spark plug out and puts it in his pocket.... how can this motor run with ZERO compression?? If you think its running on a diesel effect, then this is even more confusing because diesels need more compression than gas motors. Again, no spark plug = no compression. this is an illusion.

  • Compressed air supply hidden under table/

  • you guys are clueless(no offense)...the engine is DIESELING......its able to burn the fuel without any ignition, the carbon gets hot enough to spark gas straight outta the tank with no carburetor

  • @christhetromboneguy that doesn't explain how he is able to turn the engine off and on. its an illusion. there are three controls he uses (but u cant see) to get the engine running and gets it to stop, two of which gets the engine running right before he starts taking off parts, and the last one which appears to the be a spark plug wire he uses to ground out the ignition. Plus how is the engine getting fuel if he took the gas off?

  • @sackcheck hmmmm, thats tru...maybe he's using an evaporation carb(carb sucks in fuel vapors from a tank of fuel under the table)

  • 1. extra spark plug under that bit added on top of the shrouding- original hole is blocked off.

    2. I can see a hose of some sort coming up from the bottom of the engine- fuel intake of some kind.

    3. muffler hasn't got much to do with whether or not an engine will run, but I just feel I have to point that out for the idiots challenging my suspicions.

  • @KrankieV2 you cant have an extra plug dud

  • @christhetromboneguy And what makes you think that? There are plenty of engines out there that have multiple spark plugs per cylinder for added performance and reliability. Someone could have easily modified the head of this engine to have a spark plug hidden under the shroud.

  • i can see you grounding the second engine's spark at 0:47

  • I was working on my ~30 year old edger yesterday that is powered by a 2hp B&S. I was having trouble getting it started so I took off the air filter to spray some carb cleaner in to the carb. I had disconnected the plug wire earlier (for another reason). well, I forgot to reconnect the wire. after I sprayed the cleaner I decided to adjust the idle, one pull and it started! When I looked down and saw the wire disconnected I couldn't believe it. I still don't know how it was running!!!!

  • @nilcasw what??? compression ignition is my only guess

  • FAKE. show me a single engine that can run with 0psi compression.

  • 2nd engine running under the table. when he removes the muffler the top engine sounds just like an air compressor.

Nice trick but fake as they get.

  • For eveyone who doesn't belive this it is actually running, just some things are hidded that make it run, not telling what :)

  • Well it looks like he's not actually removing the carb, because you see him reach around behind the engine and turn the choke off right after he starts it at like eight or nine seconds in.

  • cant be done. becouse by removeing to spark plug you lose all compression and all engins mush have some sort of compression to run. o ya he also removes the fuel sorce. it just adds up to a big fake!

  • LIKE

  • LOL the tractor in the back

  • PettyMower, you know more than you let on,and I do not blame you for being cautious with your comments. Notice the serious input from STARFIRESOLAR. You are well on the way when you change an engines timing, thereby it's frequency. Why use fuel when you can use electricity correctly to impart a frequency on the air?

  • FAKE! The guy who posted this video doesn't want to disclose any information. Fake.As.Shit.

  • why dont you enlighten us and tell us you secret .....i would like to know i would also like to shake your hand it appears to be a very nice invention of a very nice magic trick ether way i like it

  • Closed loop system? Fuel is in the crankcase. It can't be PFM (pure frickin magic). There is obviously a spark system outside of the fake spark plug he removes. No blow out through the spark plug hole when removed. Engine dies when he shorts out the coil wire. No engine runs without Fuel, Air, Compressin and Spark. It doesn't matter if it is the GEET system or HHO gas. Nice trick. Very impressive. Like sawing a woman in half but better. No speed change without carb proves loop system used?

  • compressed air??

  • Has to be a hidden carb and plug, since I saw him reach behind the engine when trying to start it I'm gonna say thats where the carb is and I figure since he removes the plug that there is a hidden one maybe under the engine tin. Which means the original intake and plug hole are not longer used. Am I close?

  • thats pretty cool...but I liked Harold the headless chicken too.lol

  • i did the same thing to my motor like that

  • Comment removed

  • all he did was make a diesel lol

  • dam thats brutal what your doing to that poor engine! its like taking out a heart and reviving it without the body!

  • see him remove the muffler bare hands--and no ouch hot!

  • @geo1671

Pliers are used to remove the muffler.

  • a few mods, completely pointless, but...

typical carb is held on with two screws, not one down the centre, etc etc... the great part of this video is that he doesnt change viewpoints.... so you cant see the changes made....

  • Just made it into an assisted start diesel.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

  • @IncredibotsSteam3

    That answer is completely INCORRECT!

  • @IncredibotsSteam3 You must not know much about diesels either..lol

  • Thats different.

  • I think it's under the table with a similar engine that is with this in the table attached to pulleys. Simply

  • @jasminsirotic

There is NOTHING under the table. The running engine is completely self contained.

  • at 0:02 you can see him work the choke on carb on output shaft side of engine stock carb is a dummy

  • WTF?

  • i have a gokart motor but it dosent want to turnon [it has carb and sparkplug] it makes the noise that it wants to turnon but it dosent turnon [ wat should i do]

    ????????

  • any one have a vid on what behind it? the 17? briggs walk behind? ive seen it at algonquin mill festival but not on here plz help

  • my guess is ethier like the last person said that theres a hidden carb and sparkplug, or...what i was thinking, was there is another cylinder at the bottom of the engine (like an opposed 2 cylinder) and the reason it sounds like a 1 cylinder it becuase the top portion which you can see is just for show, while the other cylinder does all the work.

  • The 'real' cylinder is probably running the engine... and the top half that we see is a dud...

  • lol this happened to my golf cart! i went of a jump and the spark plug ripped and the carb was kinda dissasembled but it ran for a few minutes with no hiccups or anything

  • i dont belive this trick footage

  • OK, so the spark plug wire shown is actually a ground wire that kills the spark to the second (real) spark plug.

There is another carb at the back of the engine, and probably another inlet valve on the opposite side of the crankshaft! Or a pipe running to the original inlet port. Then again, it could run like a Monosoupape with inlet ports (I have one on my channel :)

Yea, this Bad Boy took some time to build!

    Nice job! :))

  • well i know its fake but it is pretty good i might have to try and make one myself

  • if you notice he started fooling with something on the PTO side of the engine at the begining, thats where the carbuerator is located

  • oh so the whole carb comes off with one bolt? ya more like a 5hp cutaway block and flywheel cover with a 2hp engine running inside. btw dont use your hand to choke the carb u give it away lol switching from carb to carb lol.
