i hav made these but didnt do the rotate 10 minutes rotate 10 minutes, i drained the paint and then put a marble in it and rollled the marble around. it looks rlly cool! just a thought so u dont hav to go threw all that.
@BlondeBeachBum1124 very cool! great suggestion. i dont think i could have fit a marble in the neck of my ornament but ill keep an eye out for something similar and try it out!
@ginatigue its all about the consistency of the paint if its too watery it will flake. if its too think and gloopy it will come off in chunks. also did you rinse them out with alchohol and let them dry completley before you put the paint in? if there is any mositure at all on the ball its doomed. let me know if youve tried these things and them we will trouble shoot from there :0)
@WAITINGONYOU2 great! im really happy to hear it. i havent had any luck getting the metalics to stick. once they get dry they start to flake. but ive never tried hmschotts trick that she posted in the comments there. ill be trying metalics next year for sure!
Hiya Pren, I did the rinse of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water and let them dry for an hour. Used Delta Ceramcoat metallics and opaques... have some that are 10 yrs old & still look good. :-) I should do this again!

I have tried this, and all of my ornaments are chipping. Any suggestions that keep this from happening?
