some ppl ik have tried ripstik and it looks like everyone here hates them. they're really not that hard to ride! the ripstik says ripstik on it and u have to be able to read it left to right and if ur a righty ur left foot goes on the left paddle thing, use ur right foot to push off a little, then land ur right foot on the right side and move ur right foot and thats it. idk how it works if ur a lefty. its really simple, why do ppl hate ripstik?

hey im not quite sure how to get down a manual(i dont skate board/snowboard) or any kind of board besides caster boarding...it looks like you're leaning you're hips back and keep center wieght by leaning you're upper body forward? is that right? just keep trying to pop the front up and keep the ballance like that?

I don't really think about where I'm leaning, or where my hips are or anything.. it's all based on feeling. You don't really need to skateboard to learn to manual a casterboard... you can learn them just by consistantly practicing. I suggest using the lines in the sidewalk as a measure of progress. Start with one line.. then two.. and so on.. eventually you'll be manualling entire blocks. BTW - Nose Manuals are easier on a casterboard because of the angled casters.

I practiced manuals on my skateboard a lot when I was younger. I used to use the lines in the sidewalk to measure my progress. Try to manual a couple.. then a few more... then eventually you'll be doing entire blocks. It's like anything else... practice is key.
