I'm not a expert but i start out with my head up but half way through a heavy (for me) set of shrugs i start gettign tired and my head dips down. i don't think there is a big difference on how you hit your traps with you head postion but i do know you hand position does have an effect on it

i'm 17 years old, 135 pounds, and i can do that.. i just did that today.. and its actually 405 pounds.. but whose counting.. my goal by the end of this semester ( December ) is to shrug 500 pounds
