  • carl sent me here!

  • @PLOpro1 Welcome! (and thank Carl for me) cheers, KtC

  • YUMMMY !!

  • @mimidaily Oh Yeahhhh!

  • FINALLY.This is the only video I could find so far that DEEP FRIES whole peppers. thanks^_^

  • I've watched about a dozen videos & yours is the best! Thanks.

  • @brittanybeers I appreciate your thoughts. Yep, a nice recipe to try!

    cheers, KtC

  • it was good but the song is annoying

  • @yahboiricky Isn't about the music. About the food. Thank you!

  • Wow, these look fantastic. Love the cumin/cilantro idea. I've never dipped anything that many times but they look like they came out wonderfully! Thanks.

  • @MommyLovesBigBoys Hello! Twice dipping on this one is a must as it will not adhere to the veg. with one coating (hence the refrigeration for a bit). Third coating is a personal choice to get a real crunch going on. Yes, a nice combo on the ingredients that work really well together. I have a few recipes on variable stuffings but we enjoy this one the best. Thank you! KtC

  • nice video!!!! no talk and shit !

  • @Worrall82 For those who want to know but no time to hear about the life of the cook!! :D cheers from KtC!

  • ! Yum all up :o)

  • ahhhh im so hungry

  • @CombatArmsGamer I am happy you are enjoying them! cheers! KtC

  • im watching all these great food vids while eating ritz with salsa =_=

  • @StealthTacticsClan lol I like the ritzs but I do not recall trying them with salsa before. I suppose whatever is available does the tick with those things. Thank you for watching a few vids.

    cheers! KtC

  • Ill have to use my fresh peppers on these mmmhhmm

  • @pandmonium2k7 Yeah, the fresh garden peppers are the best. I prepare a few batches of hot sauce too. The hot weather has been great for my peppers but I am worried about some of the cucumbers as they do not like the heat as much. Have a great weekend Gary! cheers mate, KtC

  • Just made this recipe. Added onions and celery into the cheese mix and onion + garlic powder into a seasoned dredging flower. But the cumin was the real star! Really brought everything together, super great idea!

  • @Hippolord Certainly room to mix it up to a personal taste. The cumin does work well in there. I haven't had these in awhile. I may make them today as I just picked a bunch of peppers from the garden. Thanks! KtC

  • Not sure cumin is the best choice, but interesting. Any tips for how to properly coat the flour-dredged poppers back in the egg/milk? All of the flour comes out. And I agree with many people, the music stinks, at least lower it.

  • @AGameProductions Cumin is a good fit, Not really uncommon in a pooper. Some flour will come off on the first dredge but not all. Hence the second coating after the first breadcrumb. The chill is the main thing as it will cause everything to stick on there better. If there is still a problem (there shouldn't be) then try chilling just after the first flour part, then continue and again chill after the second final coating of breadcrumb.

    cheers, KtC

  • @kooktocook pooper! :P

  • @ClaudYeung lol

  • @AGameProductions As for the tune. Just mute and whistle your favourite tune. After 484 vids. I am not going to change it now for a few. It is about the food here. The votes came back a year or so ago to unanimously keep it as is. cheers, KtC

  • Hi friend. You're one of my favorite youtube chefs, along with foodwishes and vahchef.

I just wanted to say that, instead of cilantro I put in some mint leaves, and it definitely added a nice and unique flavor.

Thank you for the recipe. peace!!!

  • @currymakersuperfly Well that sounds interesting. Certainly a popular herb in some parts. I use it regularly in variable foods. I wonder if a bit of curry powder in the crumbs would work (and the mint). Interesting. I will make note and have to try a few with the mint and then some curry powder perhaps. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day! KtC

  • Gaaahuuu. that was me drooling...totally have to make these, love jalapeno poppers!

  • This recipe is one of the top popper recipes i've seen on youtube!! Thanxx

  • @GrnEyedBandit77 A good recipe and fairly authentic with respect to traditional poppers. Some may prefer to blanche the peppers first (boil a couple of minutes) before the breading, but I prefer not too!

    Thx/ cheers! KtC

I've seen this dish for the very first time. But this must be very delicious. I was so surprised and screamed in Japanese. Wait, I'll get my hashi and try one. Don't let anyone eat till I get there!!!

  • @omatsu123 lol They are quite tasty for those who enjoy something hot (and tasty). Many peppers work but the Jalapeno is the most common.

    cheers from Canada! KtC

  • @civicturbolive Try following up with a nice dish of homemade ice cream! LOL

  • @texaust lol 'Vanilla Ice Cream' Episode 289 cheers! KtC

  • If dont really like cream cheese and prefer just cheddar, would that work well or no? thx

  • @blazedgator15 It will work fine. Try any cheese (Monterey Jack would go well). Some work better than others but there is only one way to find out :) cheers! KtC

  • What are the proportions for the ingredients? Like for the cheese mixture? And would it taste as good if I were to bake it instead of frying it? It really looks tasty! But I'm trying to stay away from fried foods.

  • Try 350F for 25-30 minutes.

Main ingredient is cream cheese. 6oz. cream cheese/ 1/4 cup chedder, 1/2 tsp. of cilantro and cumin. Add more cilantro if you want. There are no rules to this one but yes, easy on the cumin.

Fried is best, use Canola oil. cheers! KtC

  • mm, Spicy, cheesy, and deepfried, thats classic.

  • munchies callin me =gotta go (*o*)

  • I understand :)

  • now that looks real good. Not something I can make every week but I could get away with it about every three months.

  • you can buy them at a local grocery store. :)

  • no they are popular. there are many individual recipes though. This is a good one :) cheers! KtC

  • Awesome! thanks for your tips and your help. I think I'll try your Tempora next and let ya know how it turns out! :D

  • Work with really cold water (ice). Just dip and fry a bit. Yum! cheers! KtC

  • how much cumin? Cilantro, cheddar to creme cheese ratio? Nice vid but lacking specifics for recipe.

  • Nice vid! all of your tutorials have been incredibly useful, thanks!

  • Thank you. Some are certainly better than others but I try to provide a guidline or an alternative 'spin' on basic foods. We all got to eat. Have a great day! KtC

  • great video! simple and to the point...excellent

  • I just made jalapeno poppers the other day but I put bacon in it...it tastes really good

  • I agree, the bacon works wonders. next time I show the bacon! cheers, KtC

  • if you dont wanted to use cream chesse can you use shedder chesse?

  • what kinda flour to use?

  • I just use all purpose white flour. Have a great popper! cheers, KtC

  • great video. im about to make some this instant!

  • Thanks Rockyface! It takes a bit of time preparing (coating them up) but defintely worth it cheers! KtC

  • These were delicious!!!! I had to use a different type of pepper as they didn't have the green ones at Safeway....used red ones.

I'm going to try the green ones tomorrow...can't wait!!

  • Red do the trick but are pepers picked at end of season. You will really enjoy the green ones :) All this recent talk, I have to make more soon myself. cheers! KtC

  • I found the green ones a little too......robust for my taste....glad I made them with the red ones first :) I will definitely make the recipe again :)

  • Happy you enjoyed them. Yes, the green have a bite. cheers! KtC

  • These poppers are a party hit! I made a few batches with broiling the jalapeno first to make it a bit tender (you could pan fry too) both were a hit! Oh, and sweet and spicy dipping sauce seemed to be the favorite.

  • Yep! They can be very popular in a crowd. Thank you for the tips. Sweet and spicy. Sounds tasty, will try. cheers! KtC

  • Any suggestions for dips?

  • I always enjoy sour cream however, there is a raspberry one below that I have made (another video idea). See comments below. cheers! KtC

  • Ha! Shows you how observant I am!

I'm going to try to make the poppers tonight, can't wait *smile*

  • thanks for this! this is the best recipe,. because i wanted flour AND bread crumb coating, and i liked the egg mixture. thanks so much. i'm making these tommorow for sunday lunch!! :-)

  • I too prefer both the flour and bread crumb coating. thanks for the comment Lala. Have a great lunch, cheers! KtC

  • Thanks for the recipe! This might sound weird but raspberry jam goes great with these warmed up and used as a dipping sauce

  • Hi! It is not wierd or unusual, quite common for such foods. The jam is a quick fix. Try a bit of hot pepper sauce with the jam (or a hot mustard) mix together well. 'Become culinary genious' try a carton of raspberries, 1/4C orange juice, 1tbsp. brown sugar, 1tbsp. hot sauce. Blend together, boil/ simmer/ cool/ dip. Great comment/ tip, cheers! KtC

  • im making this for dinner tonight

  • my god they look good

  • I am a huuuuge jalapeno popper fan, and I stumbled across this video a few weeks ago... making some now! I can't wait to eat them! :) I think I may have messed up my egg/milk ratio though, but I'll figure it out next time. Thanks KtK! I'm gonna check out more of your vids and see what else I can find.

  • Hi! Try a cup of milk to one egg. If you find you need more (depending on how many poppers) just double. Better to have too much than not enough. Thank you! cheers! KtC

  • wow. i just ate, but now i'm feeling hungry again...

  • I'm making these in a few hours! I love your fast easy to understand videos! I just saw you made it to 200 videos! Thank you very much!

  • Damn, I didnt know you had to chill them before frying. You know how to make everything!

  • It's all about the little tips. I still cannot make a good chocolate fondant. When I do I will post :) cheers, KtC

  • I made these bad bys today, they were so damn nice!, you can also make them in halves. The batter coats the cheese and doesnt let it drip everywhere so that works too :P. God i love Jalapeno Poppers!

  • I often make them in halves too. I go the extra breadcrumbs that way. Sounds great! KtC

  • you sir are awesome !!! must make this weekend !!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, let me know how they turn out, cheers! KtC

  • They look really good, I will have to try them one day and post a vid

  • Let me know how you enjoyed them, I like hearing back. The videos a good idea. KtC

  • ooo i love these!

  • me too :) KtC

  • These look awesome! Another great video! Take care! ;-)

  • thank you! KtC

  • Would love to try these, but can't get jalapenos in Japan. Don't understand why?

  • lol, holy shit best video recipe yet! Love it!

  • Yeah! thanks bud. Have a great weekend. KtC

  • just too cool!

  • yummy! cheers, KtC

  • Hey how would I make them stuffed with cheddar? Is it the same way?

  • The cream cheese works well because it melts fast. I like the chedder so I put an equal amount. Without the cream cheese (also helps stick it all together), try shredding the chedder fine. Good luck, KtC

  • wow, that looks good. 2 questions..

    1. Are they really hot? I don't like hot hot as in spicy...I am more a mild kind of guy

    2. When you say chill, is that fridge or freezer chill?

Thanks for your time...Hope to hear back from ya :)

  • Jalapeño aren't hot at all; very mild

    I would imagine refrigerator

  • the majority of the heat lives in the white stems inside and the seeds. Get rid of those and they have a very mild "spicey" heat.

  • Yes. I leave a few seeds in there to keep some 'kick'. nice tip, cheers!

  • @daltonsbadboy Yes they can be quite hot. Some Jalapeño are more hotter than other though. When I say chill, I mean toss in the refrigerator. Sorry for the late response :) KtC

  • Slam dunk. Perfect!

  • Thanks, the peppers were a good size to work with. I put a few in the oven later. They heated up real well. cheers! KtC

  • thank you for sharing with us, it really looks nice ; )

  • your welcome, I enjoy making the foods (and eating them). Have a great day! KtC
