  • I see two machineguns here:

    Maxim 1910 (red army)

    MG 42 (nazi germany)

    Firing toghether against... capitalism?

Couldn't this be a message from Leone maybe? It was a very distinctive and known weapon at the time (MG42/59 was an mg42 modified by italian army and almost surely in use in 1971) so i doubt that it was just a big mistake.

    My 2 cents..

  • MG42 in 1910 is it not?

  • We stand before a Revolution .

  • 14 powerham netob aboot uk

  • AS FOR ME THE BEST MUSIC OF ENNIO,, as for me one of the Best movie,no doubt about it statistic shows for othr One of many best movie of that period this movie stars James Coburn and Rod Steiger, i have seen this many many times. the same wiht Once upon a time in the West, Trinity, My name is nobody

  • Shaung Shaung...

  • What anachronisms? A Lewis gun and a Spandau -both available at that time. The armoured car isn't anachronistic either . Can you clarify, please? I can't see an MG-42 anywhere.

  • @mseaborne what lewis gun? and if you cant see the mg42 you must be blind

  • It's the Bridge at San Jorge--it's Spanish.

  • @tintinteslacoil Thanks for the info! I've now corrected the title. :-)

  • Great music. Best explosion scene ever.

  • The MG-42 makes the entire movie somewhat an anachronism

  • @PanzermanFuchs44 I have to agree with you. This was a really bad slip and does take something away fro the film.

  • @Warriorking1963 virtually all westerns have anachronisms, its no big deal though because at the end of the day theyre not documentaries

  • @Warriorking1963 Leone was usually pretty good with historical accuracy. No '92 Winchesters during Civil War, etc, like John Ford. So, he Had to have a symbolic reason for the WWII weapon--Nazi invasion of Italy? Rome audiences Loved some of his symbolism; they could relate to it. see the SergioLeoneWeb for big discussions.

  • @Warriorking1963 I thought that was weird too

  • @Warriorking1963 I doubt this is a "slip". Leone was incredibly picky and detailed to history with his facts. People complain about his characters wearing dusters...which was actually what everybody wore at the time. give it a rest.

  • @Warriorking1963

Well, I read there were suppoesed to be 2 maxims but there weren't any others available at the time, and, the ending scene where Rod Steiger holds the MG42 wasn't supposed to be in the script, he was supposed to weild 2 pistols instead.

  • i love this movie, the acting, explosives and just plain jokes

  • I love how Ruiz wanted to park to the side to see what'd happen...

  • what war

  • Sundance, you have to be high. One of the greatest soundtracks of all time!

  • did he blow up the twin towers

  • it's the Bridge of San JORGE--listen next time, read the subtitles, or read the book before you post a title like this..

  • they should re dub this part with a better song. The scene was fantastic but the Song was awful.

  • Te Song went with it, It is A Sergio Leone masterpiece of voice, strings, and slide whistles. Like cutting the background from the Mona Lisa because you hate trees..

  • right... I'll agree to disagree

  • the music rocks...

fuck you. (if you expect reasonable argument fuck you twice:) )

  • fucking shit cock

  • @sundancekid9000 cock muncha

  • @mastaODI56 lint licker

  • Holy cow Sundance. This was probably the best soundtrack I have ever heard! Very haunting.

  • @sundancekid9000

Song was GREAT!. Morricone's haunting/thrilling/crazy music MADE the movie.

  • @tintinteslacoil Nah.

  • is there a more underrated film than this? another perfect of example of the genius of leone and morricone

  • can you upload the pub scene where he shoots the cops. i cant find it anywhere on you tube

  • One of the greatest movies ever!

  • great film

  • Fantastic film and soundtrack!!

  • The explosion was perfect!! One of the best in movie history! There needs to be more like that one and less of the Michael Bein gas bombs.

  • @MikeofWyoming Yeah, this movie was full of Real Dynamite explosions, Not just gasoline and mothball fireballs like now. You Can Tell--tendrils of smoke Shoot so fast it's like the blink of an eye--and, the bridge (over a Roman aqueduct in Spain) is Still Gone... Took 3 minutes for dust to clear. Again, Not like today';s wimpy excuses for "explosions".

  • Respond to this video...

Yeah, beats those gasoline and mothball "fireballs" they do now! Real Dynamite explosion--where a bridge (over an ancient Roman aqueduct in Spain) is Still gone....

  • Awesome scene from an awesome movie!

  • thnx for uploading this clip shame it didnt have part before vid starts wer he calls coburn a "irish piece of shit" :D
