Remixes such as this one can be very useful to get bands such as Ratatat the recognition they deserve. They worked with Kid Cuddy, MGMT and a shitload of hip hop cats on their 2 remix albums. The thing is the title leads people to believe DRT is the original artist.

100% this is two step. there is no dnb or dubstep in this track. Defining a genre heavily depends on on the BPM's and style of beat (break beat, house etc). Yes there are dubstep-like sounding synths in this track, but that doesn't mean its dubstep.

listening back it isn't really DnB its definately 2 step but I would stick with it having dubstep quality's and by that I don't mean 2step, BPM has a big influence on deciding the genre, dead righhh. BUT OVERALL IT'S JUST AN AMAZING TUNE, thats how i'd define it. XD
