You can get knowledge so easily though now - and not necessarily from a teacher, there are plenty of good books and dvds... they wouldn't exist if it was not possible to learn from them - no one would buy them. Now it is even easier because of Youtube and similar sites. The knowledge is out there in great detail - all people need to do is practice hard and test their skills regularly.
I don't think it is impossible though. If you watch the clips and maybe buy one DVD that shows how the body mechanics work - my "Martial Rotation" DVD shows the body mechanics we use quite thoroughly. Then if you wish you can train with friends, film it, post the film on youtube as a private upload (only invited people can view it) and send me the link. I'd be happy to give you my comments or corrections. Good luck!
