No problem; the only reason I kind of knew is, My favorite song is Rodney Crowell's

" I WALK THE LINE REVISITED" and it's line:

"I'm back on board that 49 Ford in 1956."

  • i agree.. he's amazing and he was really handsome!

  • I like how he's not actually playing chords just muting the strings and strumming that percussive groove.

  • i like how you're clearly retarded but have internet access.

    it's amusing.

  • How beautiful and shy he was at that time.. what a pitty he took those pills...

You only die once you know.

  • motherfucker was young! Motherfucker was good though!

  • Comment removed

  • why did you cut it? stupid!

  • Just the sound is bit off the video stream, nothing else.

  • because your mine..i walk the line .. love it!

  • looks like the original footage, but the song is defo taken from a later time, probably late 80s.

  • Nope. 1957.

  • how can you say its 1957? yes the video is, but the song played over the top of it is defo much later. you can tell by his voice

  • It's 1957. Luther's guitar is clearly heard. Johnny's voice has that boomy full sound. Not the thin sound he had after the 70s. Anyway, Johnny would never have this sound in his later years. He would've added a piano, drums, and other stuff.

  • Excuse me! I was a Cash fan LONG before WTL. I know stuff about his life you don't. I know how many one nighters he spent in jail. I know what kind of drugs he took. I know how he met his second guitarist, Bob Wootton. I personally talk to his daughter, Kathy. And I'm not an expert? Why don't you check out my channel. Go compare this and his 80s performances.

Oh and guess what? I know I'm gay. And I'm proud. What's it to you?

  • your quite possibly the saddest person i know. enjoy your life alone pal

  • So what's your argument against what I said? Apparently you don't have one.

  • i have a valid one but would rather not waste my time talking to a gay who sits in his room all day without a life

  • ahh so we have a homophobe here?

  • and Why don't you since you reply to my posts anyway?

  • this song is the junk.....no lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats was constructive wasnt it. go listen to some cascada then?

  • Walk the line, a ring of fire, Folsom prison blues, and get a rhythm are my favorite Johnny Cash songs.

  • Down Lifes Rocky Road

  • the timing is wrong

  • he looked mighty sexy here. and his singing wasnt half bad too. lol just kiddin

  • You're so right! Johnny Cash was hot!!!!

  • the only reason he did speed pills was so he could stay awake behind the wheel

  • That may be why he started it but you really think it didn't become recreational and then habit for him?

  • Wow, gorgeous eyes!!

And lovely man and song :D

  • Man in white?

  • The movie implies that he sung this song for June, I wonder if it's true.........what a beautiful true love song...........

  • He wrote it for his first wife Vivian, it was about him staying faithful whilst on tour, which you know from seeing the movie wasn't really true.

  • ohhh I see, thanx for the insight:)

  • it off

  • Boy, Juaquin Pheonix did an excelent job impersonating Johnny. Wow! I love this video.
