Don't even begin to compare US economy with China's economy. China only has 1 city with GDP per capita above $10K (Shenzhen across from Hong Kong) and that qualifies it as the ONLY city in China to be "developed" according to World IMF standards.
China's economic clout and influence on global economy is very insignificant given it's stature. It's primary influence is in manufacturing. NO WONDERING this global financial crisis is not hitting China as hard as other world class nations.
