Its the 21st century and we have comp sci professors imparting crucial information to their students by furiously rubbing a white rock on a black rock.
All I can think to myself is "Yea dude, you are on the cutting-freaking-edge of this technology craze, aren't ya."
So it's like 2am, and I have spent the past three hours watching this guy. I'm supposed to be lining up electives for my homeschool curriculum for next year; ha, I think I might just finish the course tonight.
is there a big difference between the pdf version of "the art and sience of java" book and the full original version? Will i be able to complete the course and understand all the details with the pdf preliminary draft of the book, or will i miss alot of detail if i don't read the final example of the book?
@timdefouw - I agree... this is stuff for people who probably don't know how to program at all... i took programming in college and it was too basic and simple, i was bored to death. i didn't exactly think my professors were that smart, either.
@timdefouw It's an introductory course, they have different courses where stuff is more advanced. But basically, after you've gone through this you know how to program.
@timdefouw This course is meant for both CS and non-CS majors. Non-CS means anyone from Art History, through English Lit or Psych, to Zoology. It's supposed to teach from the complete basics, and not scare people away. There are a number of more advanced classes for those with previous programming experience.
Think of it this way - let's see you take an intro course in Art History/Psychology/something else you don't know much about. You wouldn't think the pace there is too slow, would you?

timdefow, he already covered classes, heap/stack. Doesn't mean he follows the order of your textbook.

Why did he shut off the camera at the end?
dima9917 3 years ago 5
Pretty sure he shut the camera off because he was finished teaching, and was going to cover something relevant to only that specific class.
