  • good job on your video. I just wanted to add something in regard to the issue of the spelling of the word "absolus". I bought a 8.4 fl oz flacon of Windsor from the Creed Boutique, and the box spells it "absolus". Obviously, what i have is not a fake. So I would say that perhaps the spelling of this word might not be an indicator then of a fake creed.

  • Anyone have any good or bad experiences with creed from amazon??? I'm seeing 1oz for around $100...

  • Do you think fragrancenet sell real Creed?

  • I've got what appears to be an older bottle, with very slight yellowing due to age,and a

'Ref' No. on the back of the box,but no serial on the bottle. Everything else(tubing, cap, sprayer) looks like the genuine bottle in your video. It also has a message in French(best ingredients, hand filtered blah blah blah) on the inside of the box flap on top signed off by Oliver Creed. Juice smells like the online reviews(I think), and lasts long too. Think it's fake?

  • Thanks for te help, I jus grabbed 3 bottles n then I watched ya video! If the b:tch plays stupid its goin to b trouble!! 180.00 new it was to good to b tru thnx again!!!

  • Hello Kerosene! Great video! I have a question for you since you seem very knowledgeable about creed. I just bought a 4 OZ. black bottle and I checked everything you mentioned. Everything about my bottle and box looks legit with the exception of 2 things: 1. On the back of the box, the French word is spelled "absolus." You said that was the wrong spelling correct? 2. My box didn't come with the paperwork inside probably because I bought it off a guy on Craigslist. Please share your thoughts. :)

  • @2vietlegit Sounds like you got some GIT? I can only go by what I've researched and compared my fake to my authentic bottle. But it's possible scammers will try and fix errors and make something more legit each year. Best bet is to get your hands on authentic juice from Neiman Marcus or something to compare.

  • @Kerosenetrewthe Yes, I got the GIT black matte black bottle. Before I get a chance to purchase it at a department store, can you please do me a favor when you get a moment and verify if the spelling on the legit box is "absolus?" Thanks dude!

  • @Kerosenetrewthe I just tried out the cologne for the first time yesterday and it lasted 10-12 hours on me. I kept asking my gf if she could still smell it on me. :)

  • @2vietlegit I think you're good to go. Mine says absolus but I believe some fakes spell it a different way. The ingredients on the side of the box should have at least 6 different things. Fakes usually only have 3 or 4 ingredients listed.

  • @Kerosenetrewthe Thanks so much for checking for me. I really appreciate it! I was feeling really bummed out that I possibly purchased a fake but I'm feeling good now based on all the things I've checked against your video and also testing it out for a night. Keep up the awesome videos! :)

  • @2vietlegit No problem. Glad I could help.

  • hey i bought a Creed silver mountain water 4oz

    at perfume.com

is there any ways to find out if that website is fake or not ???

  • i just wasted two dollars .. lol yeah that what i said in same time :)

  • YES!!! do a video of you shooting the fake creed but make it look like you accidentally shot your real one instead, and then start freaking out.... lol that would be a pretty funny video.

  • I got stung with a 1 million fake from ebay. It did smell similar but lasted only 15mins max. The packaging was identical to the original, its difficult to tell them apart, except the quality of the juice. i won't be buying anymore frags from ebay-too risky!

  • LOL "This bottle looks like it has a tapeworm".....

  • oh man thanks for the education. u crack me up. thanks man. havent laughed that hard in a while

  • great video homie

    very usefull information

i wouldn't dare to Buy creeds on eBay

    to Be honest

    i only own one, viw

and its the only one ill have for now

  • "Im probably gonna use this bottle for target practice, with my new gun.. in the sun" Hahaha

  • I also got fake Chanels from eBay but quickly got my refunds.

  • Great video Kerosene!!!!

  • "This bottle looks like it has a Tapeworm." LOL!!

  • WoW good video idea !!! big help ! yeyy a free "creed" ! lol

  • Amazing job John!!!!!!!!

  • Lots of fakes on eBay, but you can still get some authentic ones on there. One guy on there selling 10ml decants has pretty much every Creed available, and all the ones I bought were legit...smelled just like my samples, and the bottles at NM.

  • Hey Kerosene, which AMen is it sitting next to the Hermes. BTW thanks for putting up this compare and contrast vid on a fake, it will help a lot of people out.

  • @bachatuuu On the left is Pure Coffee, and on the right is Pure Havane.

  • Great vid! Thanks for taking one for the team! LOL.

  • wow, thanks

  • first of all...why are you buying Creeds in the first place?

  • @flexwheelR Have you ever smelled a Creed? Order a small sample, and you'll understand why people buy them...

  • also..on ebay you may fine a 100% real authentic bottle for the real price but the juice may be 2 years old...and you do not want that..ive heard creeds last about a year...im looking to buy but im very cautious

  • thanks for the info I'll just buy from Creed's site to be safe but it won't be anytime soon.

  • LMFAO! @ 9:02 =)) "Real CREED bottles... don't have tapeworms."

Great clip John. This cleared some things up for me because I bought some Creed M.I. at a discount shop last November, and I wasn't 100% sure if I got a deal or not. It smelled and looked right, but it was WAY cheaper than buying it at an authorized dealer (still pricey though). I'm pretty sure now, mine is authentic.

    *Cheers!*

  • I've used FragranceAlley on ebay about 10-12 times and I haven't gotten a fake bottle yet. Dunno if they carry Creed's though. Bought my Allure Sport, La Nuit and Le Male off them all legit

  • Is everything authentic on fragrancenet?

  • @raidernationcali It's suppose to be.

  • @raidernationcali most likely, however fragrancenet doesn't always properly store their bottles. i've received (non-creed) bottles from them that were obviously stored in a humid climate and the juice was partially spoiled.

  • @slurpees387

Good point, sometimes if its not a fake even through a legit retailer it could be spoiled. What was the indicator for you that it was spoiled. I purchase issey miyake from Amazon that simply doesnt last as long as it should, nor is it as fresh, when I comparing to a previous bottle and to a fresh bottle at Nordstroms

  • @bachatuuu The bottle was Pure Malt. There was excessive amounts of condensation on the glass star, and when I pushed back the rubber flask a bit, I could see it all over the glass inside. The juice reeked, smelled exactly like a latex glove, as in if you closed your eyes, you'd think someone just put a latex glove over your nose. Also the box was unwrapped, opened, and very clearly used. The juice level was noticeably below the star, so it was probably somewhere between 90-95% full.

  • @bachatuuu continued.... it was not marked on the FN website as opened or used. It was a legit bottle, the code worked on the TM website, but it was very clear the bottle was improperly stored. This was also in late September and I live in Massachusetts, so it was not hot enough here that it would have got this way in the two day transit from their warehouse in the NYC area. The condensation was heavy and totally encompassed the glass. Basically what would happen if you put it in the shower.

  • much appreciated.. i just wish i seen this and the other fake creed vids prior to me purchasing one on ebay a couple years ago .. i got Himalaya in a auction for 58 bucks.. the scent is actually pretty good.. but id like to actually sniff a real sample of Himalaya..

  • Does it smell anything like the real thing?

  • @Atmosphereification Not really.

  • i got jipped on ebay over a 4 oz Silver Mountain Water. I could tell it was fake immediately because it was wrapped in celaphane. No creeds come plastic wrapped.

  • Hey John! Thanks for this vid man! It sure helped me out! I just checked ebay and I saw a bunch going for .99-40 bucks! Would you say that ebay in general is bad for buying fragrances? I've bought a lot from ebay over the years and have recieved many authentic frags. My first 2 buys however were fake but after that, Ive received many authentic. It's amazing how real boxes and bottles of fakes look now, they're getting harder to tell which is real and which is fake!

  • wow, they really go all out with creed fakes. geez. I think most people would be fooled, especially if you don't have anything to compare it to. I feel like no one should buy creeds from ebay after seeing this video lol.

  • @Guinea54 Not everything is a fake, but there's many of them for sure.

  • target practice... it would be fun... with my new gun... in the sun... LOL

  • I've never had any issues with fakes. I just make sure the retailer has a great track record, and I make sure it isn't TOO cheap. If you can get a 4.2oz bottle in box for $80-90, it will prooobably be fake. The cheapest authentic ones I've seen go for around $120-130. I got my MI for $120 plus shipping. SMW is the only other Creed I intend to get.

  • Good informational video! Thanks!

  • *PSSSSSSST!* Holy crap, just wasted like two dollars! LMFAO :D

  • Reaaly great of you doing this kind of vid, John! Always good to know. Even though, they sure are making the fakes really alike to the originals. Never buy of Ebay. And for the more expensive fragrances, (when I buy them) - I usually get them direct from the store itself. Or real thrustworthy (spelling?) online stores. Thanks!

  • Good vid man, very informative.

  • " *PSSSST* Holy crap I just wasted like two dollars...Real Creed bottes don't have tape worms! " LOL Awesome! Great video John thanks for taking the time to buy a fake bottle and making this video pointing out the differences I am sure you will be saving quite a few people a lot of heartache with this video, because these conartist bastards are getting a copying these bottle and many people who have never owned a Creed bottle before have no idea what to look for to tell its a fake :)

  • I really have learned to hate fragrance shopping on ebay. We should all compile a list of people that we have bought bad products from on there and a list we have bought good things from and post it as a thread. Actually we should make it two seperate threads. Then when someone wants to shop on ebay they can scroll through and see if the name is on either list.

  • @MrTravisdiaz Good idea, the problem is that ebay merchants change names so fast it's not really feasible to keep up and the data compiled would get old fast.

  • @Kerosenetrewthe I thought of that. You can go on ebay and click for the feedback, once you do that you can get a list of names used and even the dates they were changed.

  • Thanks for this, John

  • Thanks for doing this Kerosene! I'm sure you helped a lot of people out!
