i can`t join second life, anytime i fill join in page it say that there are errors and that my password is not proper, but u use only letters, english keybord and my password is beetween 6 and 16 caracters :P

@eljoeyspano --Security code? You mean the Capcha? You can select the audio version or keep hitting reset till you see one that makes sense.

Everytime i try to play it say clearing cache and stuff then says:

Second life is unable to run becuase your video card drivers

did not install properly,out of date,or are for unssupported

hardware.Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers

and even if you do have the latest,try reinstalling them.

If you keep recieve this message call customer service.

I dont understand what that means please help a brother out I love second life

Well, you can try to update your video card drivers--just google "update video card drivers NAME OF YOUR CARD" and you download and install like any file. But in the my experience, when a student gets this message, it means the student needs to upgrade their computer and be sure to get a high-end graphics video card when they do. The 3D virtual world stuff is just a lot different than regular web surfing.

@chloestilton400 -- It's asking you that to confirm your age. If you are being asked for money it isn't Second Life and don't do it. Don't ever give out your account information to anyone.

So i made an account worked fine ,I log in and I can change my appearance open boxes walk around ,but.....when ever i try to teleport to another area it crashes ,thats very frustrating I realy enjoyed what i could do and would like to play more but i cant go anywhere ..have you heard of this problem and how to fix it

@itsmeluvele -- no, I haven't heard of that problem before. When teleporting across regions, all you are doing is switching server addesses--Second Life maintains over 30,000 servers for its world. Try clearing your cache, defragmenting your hard drive, and compressing trash files.

each time i finish the Registration form and click create an account it does not show the screen where it says an activation code or message was sent to my email account. I know that the age is over 18 and my passwords are the same and i tried tons of names, and i know i got the security check right but it still won't let me create an account!

Great tutorial! Have you ever had anyone encounter a problem of logging in after an account was create? I created one account and it says that it was having problems logging in. So after several weeks of frustration, I followed your steps exactly and created a new account. It still says I'm having trouble logging connecting. Any ideas? Thank you!

Mindy--Sorry you're having problems. You need to describe exactly what happens when you try to log in and what error messages you are receiving.

The error I'm receiving is:

"We're having trouble connecting. There may be a problem wiht your internet connection or the Second Life servers. You can either check your internet connection and try again in a few minuts, click Help to connect to our support site, or click Telephort to attempt to teleport home."

Then I have the OK button, Help button, and Teleport button. Help didn't help, and I've tried the Teleport button, but I don't think I have a Home set yet. Thank you for help!

No, sorry, I'm not associated with Linden Labs. I work at a university. This isn't a bug you're experiencing. It is intentional. Try creating a new account and on the registration form be sure to select a form of ID that you will provide SL to prove you are 13 or older.

if you were born after 1991 you have to confirm your identify by one of the methods described.
