@borneo215 I used AnvSoft multimedia software called Photo DVD Slideshow Maker to make this, and I use Roxio Multimedia software to edit movie or film documentaries.
@borneo215 Haha, that's funny...my bad. I don't know how the music artists recorded the song, but I'm sure there's synthesizers in there along with live voices and drums. I like ambient, new age world music and have a lot of it on my channel.
"Traditional" and modern aren't mutually exclusive. 1st Nations people have grown and changed and added their own to make new music for all of us to enjoy. I have heard them.
I do understand...and think your inclination a beneficial one. A worthy outcome to seek in my opinion. Also my perspective: Native American peoples' ways of life, traditions, connection to this land and all of its inhabitants....since white human came to this land, these have been subjugated and largely annihilated--it is no wonder to me that many Native American peoples, themselves, seem to be disconnected from the traditions of their ancestors. Thus, we all benefit from such experiences.
I realize that these music videos include modern-day mechanized effects. Regardless, how I value so many of those which you have posted. While not traditional, in a sense, the "ambient" is a complement to the traditional. And to be able to behold the notably beautiful artwork at the same time. That which you share here has had more effect on me than you, perhaps, could have envisioned. Thus, so glad to finally create an account so that I could let you know! Greatly...thank you.
@inremembranceofruth Thank you so much for saying that. I do get criticized by some who are offended by the modern, ambient arrangements. On my homepage, I do make apologies for that, but there are lots of traditional chants, etc., and I am hoping to reach a larger audience for them to experience the great pride, through the music, that dwells within all American Indians.
my name is NightWind and i am Apache, Blackfeet, Chactaw, and Navajo bear clan. i really enjoyed this video yet i did dislike the mechanical sound to this video. i would really like for you to put English subtitles for those that cant understand these chants. but great job on this video!
Ataahua!! beautiful!!! your people and my people are one love this music..I am 'Maori' and we are the native peoples of Aotearoa/new zealand..we also were colonised by the whiteman and where coaxed into a false treaty and had our lands and fisheries confiscated and stolen from my ancestors..nuff said...I am also a sculptor/carver and Maori designer and have worked alongside alaskan natives from the Tinglit tribe..was such an honor to learn how close our peoplez and our beliefs are..thanx
