  • Wait if he's the best then why is Jerry West the NBA logo just answer that question for me!:)

  • you had no idea who you gave advice to that night had you??

  • Lebron tried to free throw the like button, but didn't succeed.

  • All I got to say is mj is the greatest of his era arguably the best but u still cant count out majic and lary bird wilt bill russle oscar robinson and u gotta respect kobes game hes up thare with the greatest of all time and kobe has had great games against mj but mjs numbers dont lie his stats tops kobes stats abd to laker fans that talk smack about u guys are fuckin idiots the guy helped bring 5 championships to LA ... And is the best laker of all time my opinion no dis respect to majic

  • with one tip kobe is the second best player in history damn

  • shaq and kobe lakers vs jordan and pippen' bulls would have been an amazing finals

  • how can any of you say that kobe is the goat. jordan has never lost a final series. kobe has. jordan made 50% of his playoff game winners, kobe has made a pitiful % around 30% or 20%. jordan makes his teammates better, kobe whines and sends them to miami(Shaq). kobe has never won a championship without some of the best bigmen in the NBA at the time(Shaq, Bynam, Gasol). jordan never had as good of a team as Kobe, except for maybe Kobe's latest ring. and, how many dpoty and mvps does kobe have.

  • oh my he shouldn't have shared that, now Kobe is the GOAT

  • @jayjoetube14 Retarded... Jordan is the goat

  • @CagoEman23

    Ok Kobe is the lamb

  • Kobe 5-3 head2head over the Goat. 2-2 when Jordan was a bull and 1-3 when Jordan was a wizard.

  • i didnt know mj told kobe that thats whats up

  • Why is it a bad thing to "be like" MJ?

People who say that are fucking stupid. Plus they only use that shit in basketball.

Be like Federer? Be like Dale Earnheart? Be like Jeter?

If they perfected the game obviously you want to "be like" that...

  • @st3nkobe Playing like him is one thing. Playing like him and then pretending like you aren't influenced by him is another. Kobe rarely openly credits MJ. And he gets credit for being as good or better than MJ when it is clear he's not really close.

Kobe copies the guy's mannerism at every opportunity, which is annoying and a little pathetic. I'm a Lakers fan who hasn't missed a game in the last decade, but Kobe's swagger jacking is ridiculous. The man really has no personality of his own.

  • @boredfun91 Wow dude you are crazy just listen to you. He has no personality of his own because he swagger jacked MJ are you fucking serious.

  • @st3nkobe

He really doesn't. Look at his interviews, the guy is so uncomfortable just talking to people, so he fronts as some badass. And yes, when you take on a person's mannerisms and try to use their personality as your own, you don't have your own personality.

Look at Shaq, Lebron, Iverson, John Wall, Westbrook...ANYONE really. They all have some kind of personality. Kobe just doesn't. He just copies everything MJ does.

  • @boredfun91 You are a fucking idiot i think the average Kobe hater would agree on that too.

  • @st3nkobe

no what hes sayin is true. its so obvious.

  • @boredfun91 wow , ive never seen such a hater like you lmfao, he took his personality? how does that even make sense stfu up dude, kobe is a laid back dude who tells it who how it is and will cuss on tv and doesnt really give a fuck...Stop hatin

  • @boredfun91 nigga did u just compare that bust john wall to kobe.Kobes a student of the game yea he took shit from mj what player dosent he also studied oscar robinson magic etc etc he grew up around basketball he picked up shit from players before him i dont see what u talkn about copin mj u just must have fucked up vision

  • @boredfun91

that is so true and ive been sayin that for yrs. ppl who cant see that r extremely stupid, blind, and deaf.

  • Cant wait for KB24 to get his 7th ring!!!

  • Somehow Kobe and MJ even sound alike

  • @JerryMouseeeee That's because Kobe look up to Michael and wants to be like him. But he will never be that. MJ is the greatest of all time!

  • @JerryMouseeeee they're both east coast boys

  • People should like jordan for jordan and kobe for kobe no one has to be lil bitches kobe in not the next jordan kobe is kobe and wow jordan greatest basketball player so what leave these niggas be

  • People call the next NBA great the Next Jordan. What does Jordan call the next NBA great?

  • i heard about kobe in the slam mag when he was in high school i think his one of the greats as much as i dont like kobe hands down his good everybody said he only won those first 3 was becuz of shaq and he won 2 more without the big guy but jordan is always number one to me becuz i grew up watching him

  • I hate these little Kobe kids.

He's great, but definitely the most overhyped player ever.

Sometimes I look at todays media driven sissy NBA and think:

    "Fuck it. Basketball is dead"

  • @megatroll you must be a lebron fan lol

  • @brandoniscool102

    No.

I think they're BOTH extremely overhyped and steal the credit for other fantastic players of this generation. Kids today are so easily manipulated by the media and others opinions. All they see is LeBron and Kobe. That's pathetic.

  • @megatroll well not everyone is like that, people just like to take notice that theyre the best in the game ever and are proud of their opinion

  • @megatroll how the fuck is he the most overhyped player? are you shitting me? in this decade (10 years) he went to the Finals 7 TIMES and won 5 of em. and hes been a big part in the first 3 titles and the MAIN part in the last 2. so how the fuck is he overhyped?

  • @peterdabest94

    Career wise, he's:

    37-97 (38%) in Game 7's

    38-108 (35%) in 5 title clinching games

    333-808 (41%) in career finals fg%

He's shot 40% or LOWER in 5 finals, and tied HIS OWN RECORD last year for the MOST MISSED SHOTS in finals history! What other legend has shot below 40% 1 time in the finals, let alone 5 times?!!

With 97 more misses in this year's playoffs, he becomes the All Time leader for the most MISSED playoff shots in history LOL!!

    That's WHY he's overrated!!

  • @blackadam06 how about the ONLY player in NBA HISTORY to score over 600+ points in 3 straight playoffs

  • @peterdabest94 mind you he is doing this in the era of the 7-7-7-7 playoff set up remember it used to 5-7-7-7 and MJ still has the record for most points in a playoff run at 759

  • That's why you don't know shit because you head is so far up your ass on stats you don't know what the fuck your talking about. MJ is greater than Kobe yes ok but overrated dumbass??? Has Jordan won a championship without an Hall Famer on his team? Who in NBA history has scored more than 81 Points? Kobe is one of the greatest and your reason for him not being is his shooting percentages? It's not about the stats dumbass it's how you obtain them.

  • Comment removed

  • @T82486

I don't know shit? Then invalidate 1 thing I've said. U speak of Hall Of Famers, but WTF is Shaq? Who in history has scored more than 81? Wilt..he scored 100!! David Thompson scored 73 with NO 3ptrs, and he started passing in the 2nd half!

And yes kobe is 1 of the greats, but his fans OVERRATE him when comparing him to MJ.

And if it aint about the stats when assessing players individually, then: Joe Johnson is a better scorer & shooter than BOTH of 'em.

Lets see HOW U prove me wrong

  • Like I said dumbass it's how you obtain the stats. If that's the case Donyell Marshall is a better 3 point shooter than Ray Allen because he's tied for the most 3's in one game. And John Stockton is the greatest defensive of player of all time because he has the most steals. Which would all be not true dumbass. Comparing him to MJ is very proable. Kobe can do every thing Mike can do, it's just that Mike is more athletic than Kobe. And stats wise Kobe has close to a lot of things Mike had.

  • @T82486

"it's how you obtain the stats"

Who's the better scorer..Karl Malone or MJ?

"Kobe can do every thing Mike can do"

Can he win the scoring title, reg season & finals mvp, and lead LA to a title in the SAME season? How about win the Scoring/Steals/Dunk titles, reg season/all star MVP, DPOY & set the record for the most blocks by a guard in NBA history in the same season?

I don't think that he can..

  • @blackadam06

He doesn't have to. Why does he get punished for that? No one is greater than MJ...and its simply because MJ, for all his prodigious talent, was also efficient. That's a product of playing in the 80's, the best decade for professional basketball. Kobe's the closest of the guys who emulated MJ of meshing athletic ability, competitiveness, and a mid-range game (the lost art of basketball). Instead of hating, how about acknowledging how similar their games are?

  • @cbaldwinjr

"how about acknowledging how similar their games are?"

They're only similar due to kobe COPYING the "style" of the older, 2nd 3-peat MJ, but that's where the similarities end.

"To me it's [laughable] to hear the comparison. I'm just honored to even be [mentioned] with him, because my [entire game] is [built] from [his] game"

-- Kobe Bryant on the Dan Patrick show

    youtube . com/watch?v=hp5o5pQNo4Y <--- here's where he said it

Notice he said "from", not "on" his game..

  • @blackadam06

Whatever...that means that MJ stole from David Thompson then, since he emulated him. Guess Olajuwon stole from MJ too, since Kobe went to him to make his low-post game adaptable. Does that mean MJ's bitchassness, which Sam Smith brought to light in "The Jordan Rules" was copied by Kobe too? Please...athletes say 20 things to 20 different people. I watch the game...and Kobe and MJ have similar games, not copied games. Kobe isn't the slasher MJ was and his mid-range game is superior

  • @cbaldwinjr

Aside from having the ability to jump extremely high, MJ's game was NOTHING like David Thompson's.

    "his mid-range game is superior"

Oh really? So is that why for his CAREER, he can't consistently shoot 50% or higher from INSIDE the 3pt arc?

He's NEVER had 1 season of 50% shooting inside the 3pt arc, with his BEST season being 49% (he did it 3 times). MJ shot 50+% inside the 3pt arc 9 times, with his BEST season being 55%, which he did 4 times.

    Try again kid..

  • @cbaldwinjr

    youtube . com/watch?v=PSv9mPAePC8&feature=related

Here's a link to a video of Phil saying that kobe LITERALLY copied MJ, and that the comparisons between them are "weak" LOL!!

So are U gonna chastise him for stating the OBVIOUS?

Brent Barry, who played with (and against) kobe on the May 5, 2010 edition of the Mike & Mike Show, said that he'd watch kobe study MJ tapes over & over, even his interview tapes because he wanted to imitate MJ, so is he a hater too?

  • @cbaldwinjr

And U wanna talk about bitch-ass-ness in a book?

"I went off on a tirade about the [need] to deal kobe before the trading deadline. He wont listen to anyone, I've [had it] with this kid. I remain [convinced] that the Lakers would have been [more successful] and [less divided] with Jason Kidd running the show."

-- Phil Jackson; "The Last Season: A Team In Search Of Its Soul"; p.94

Now when has Phil EVER said anything like that about MJ, or any other player he's ever coached?

  • @cbaldwinjr

"Kobe has [patterned himself] after Michael. It's one thing to [hope to be] like him, it's another thing to [be] like him. I'm with (ESPN's) Bill Simmons on this, we have to [take] Michael out of the equation. [Stop] comparing [anyone] to Michael Jordan. It's just not fair. Kobe [doesn't even shoot] the same [percentage] as Michael. He's just [not] the same player."

-- Phil Jackson: "Kobe Bryant not in Michael Jordan's company"; sportingnews . com, Mar 14, 2011

    U lose kid..

  • @blackadam06

Because he's the greatest slasher over 6'2" that ever lived. I already acknowledged that. MJ scored a ton of his points when he was shooting 50+% slashing to the hole and drawing fouls. And Kobe's numbers go down because he shoots way too many 3 pt's. Check the 2-pt stats...they aren't much different and again, Kobe makes his money at the mid-range area. And I'm sick of this 'guys were tougher in the 90s' era. Defense isn't grabbing and fouling. It's position and technique.

  • @cbaldwinjr

MJ's game was as much about jumpers, stop & pop, movement w/o the ball etc, as it was about drives. It's called offensive balance, something kobe's ALWAYS lacked.

"Kobe makes his money at the mid-range area"

That's funny, because according to CBS Sportsline shot charts, last year he scored

    460 pts on layups/dunks

    572 pts INSIDE 10 ft

    862 pts INSIDE 15 ft

439 pts on the FT line.

That means 1,301 of his total pts came INSIDE of 15 ft or on the FT line LOL!!

  • @blackadam06

Ummm...mid-range typically considered the space outside the paint to about 18 feet. Starts at 10 feet genius. MJ was more efficient with what he had, but the repertoire's aren't that different. And you just helped me make my point...like MJ, Kobe is great at getting to the line with his pet moves. And I see you didn't touch what I said about defense. If you were a 6'5" guard, who would you rather have defending you? John Starks or Bruce Bowen? Craig Ehlo or Tayshaun Prince?

  • @cbaldwinjr

"Our objective was to [allow] for [more offensive freedom] by [not allowing] defenders to [hand, forearm or body check] ball handlers, because when players get [higher quality] shots, they tend to [make more] of them. With more dribble [penetration], ball handlers are getting [more] opportunities [at the rim].

-- Stu Jackson VP of NBA Operations: "Rules changes have freed shooters, allowed offenses to soar"; by John Hareas of NBA . com, April 10, 2009

    This era = WWE

  • @blackadam06

If you think John Starks or Craig Ehlo or Gerald Wilkins were better defenders than Bruce Bowen, Shane Battier, Tayshaun Prince, or Ron Artest, you really are an idiot. And since you like using quotes, listen to MJ's HOF speech again where he SAYS he patterned his game after David Thompson. Thompson was a great slasher at NC State and the ABA with a feathery jump shot. YOU must be the kid because you don't know your history. Trying to lob insults doesnt change what I said.

  • @cbaldwinjr

Bruce Bowen said that the HARDEST player he ever guarded was MJ, and he didn't even face a prime MJ!

And a 39-40 yr old MJ scored 33 pts on Shane Battier (and shot 64%), and also scored 25 on Ron Artest!

The videos are right here on YouTube to see dumb ass!

And U wanna talk about perimeter defenders? There were 6 wing players in MJ's era that WON DPOY 8 times amongst them. Aside from Ron Artest, name another from this era...can't think of one?

    My point exactly LOL!!

  • @blackadam06

U dumb ass kobe homers are ALWAYS trying to imply that guys in MJ's era couldn't defend, but go look at what they did to kobe's ass when they faced him! Starks in his prime, was as good a defender as any of these clowns your talkin' about!

Hell he held kobe's ass to 42% shooting in career matchups!

And U REALLY need to shut up about defense in this era, considering the rules regarding perimeter defense has been changed to FAVOR guys like kobe..SMH

  • @blackadam06 How many nba years did jordan have on his body at 39? More than kobe has now? Nope. So age is deceiving when you know jordan missed 5 years total by time he was 39 due to retirement and his sophomore year where he sat out to have surgery. Kobe is about 32 now if you add those 5 years MJ missed it would make kobe equal to jordan at 37 and lets not forget how kobe played 3 to 4 more years than jordan did when he turned 21. 37 + 3 equals 40, kobe's body is what it'd be for a 40 yr old.

  • @fmcneillii minus the body being actually younger.

  • @ANGOLARICK How old the body is has nothing to do with it because honestly 37 is far from old and is not far from being 33.

  • @blackadam06 Michael jordan so him doing as well as he did with the wizards isn't all that mythical it's more than he didn't play as much up to that point as other 40 year old like kareem did. That most definitely added youth to jordan towards the end.

  • If you had any fucking brains. You would know that if Mike had Shaq Mike would average much less than he did, because he would be smart enough to give him the ball. He'd probably average more steals, and his shooting percentage would be at 70 percent or higher because he wouldn't shoot, he would just drive to the basket because the lane would be so open. Then in iso situations, he'd just do what MJ does. He wouldn't have the scoring tittles and MVPs, Shaq would have it....like he did assclown.

  • @T82486

"if Mike had Shaq Mike would average much less than he did"

    I don't think so moron..

A Big like Shaq would open up the floor EVEN MORE for MJ to do damage, and given the fact of how much more efficient & consistent he was as a scorer than kobe, he'd be even more better & DEADLIER & than him than he already was LOL!!

  • @T82486

Couldn't agree more. MJ's numbers would've been a lot different had he would up in Houston (w/Sampson) or someplace like Philly or LA. I mean, if he was still averaging 37ppg with a top center, he would've deserved a ballhog label. Kobe's best seasons statistically mirror MJ's in that he was surrounded by crap and HAD to score for them to win. The difference is, people saw Kobe win 3 rings, so his 'failure' was held against him. MJ didn't win anything until Pip and Grant developed.

  • I dont have to bring up stats to prove that a player is better than a player. It's knowing the game, like you don't. How is Kobe a better scorer. Hmmm let's see, he's a better 3point shooter, better ball handler, post up player, there no offensive of play or shot he can't make. And Joe Johnson can't shoot with constant defensive of pressure. He has to be isolated to be most affective. If not the Hawks wouldn't be getting smashed every playoffs series they play...they'd be contenders....

  • @T82486

"I dont have to bring up stats to prove that a player is better than a player"

Really? Ok..Shaq's a better FT shooter than kobe because I "know the game". U disagree? Prove me wrong, and I wanna know HOW you're gonna do it..

    "he's a better 3point shooter"

MJ has AS MANY seasons as kobe shooting 35% in 3ptrs, and MORE than him at shooting OVER that. Not to mention his career playoff & finals 3pt% is MUCH BETTER than kobes.

Seasons shooting over the league avg in 3pt%: MJ 4 > KB 2

  • @T82486

    "better ball handler"

So is that why kobe passed MJ in career T.O.'s on March 10, 2010, vs the bobcats?

    Career T.O.'s Per 40 Mins: MJ 2.85 > KB 3.22

    Lowest T.O.'s Per 40 Season: MJ 2.1 > KB 2.8

Highest T.O.'s Per Game Season: MJ 3.5 > KB 4.1

Where are these "better handles" U speak of?

Oh I'm sorry, U must be talkin' about kobe in relation to Joe Johnson LOL!!

  • I didn't say it like nobody has every scored 81 stupid fuck....i'm saying it as how is he overated by being compared to MJ when this guy scored 81. Wilt scored is only score OVER 81, sorry 73 is not more than 81. And he did win 3 tittles with Shaq but he's won his two previous ones w/o a Hall of Famer dumbass. That's the 2 tittles I was mentioning. In which Kobe is one of very few players in NBA history to win a tittle without a Hall of Famer as his sidekick...so how is that overrated?

  • @T82486

"I didn't say it like nobody has every scored 81"

U said and I quote: "[Who] in NBA history has scored more than 81 Points?"

That question implied that no one's scored more than that.

"how is he overated by being compared to MJ"

Because y'all cherry pick out certain games of his to say that he's better, but REFUSE to acknowledge that those are isolated games, and NOT indicative of his consistent seasonal production.

"73 is not more than 81"

Yeah, but it was done with NO 3ptrs

  • @T82486

    2010 Playoffs

    Pau: 19ppg 4apg 11rpg 54.4 FG%

    Kobe: 27ppg 5apg 5rpg 45.3 FG%

NOTE: Pau had 40 double-doubles last year..kobe only had 7

    PER: Pau 22.9 (#8) > kobe 21.9 (#13)

Total Win Shares: Pau 11.0 (#7) > kobe didn't even rank

PER accounts for their overall production, and Win Shares accounts for HOW MANY "wins" for the team they're individually responsible for, from a production (offensive/defensive) standpoint.

FACT: Pau's led LA in PER & Win Shares since '09

  • @T82486

It's Pau (not kobe) who's ranked #1 in the NBA the last 2 seasons in offensive rating vs Top 10 D, for guys who account for AT LEAST 18-23% of their team's possessions.

He's CONSISTENTLY their most efficient player and the guy who CONSISTENTLY comes thru for them in their BIGGEST games, while kobe consistently DISAPPEARS!

Kobe tied his own record for the most MISSED shots in a finals series last year, and has shot 40% OR LOWER in 5 finals now!

Pau is VERY MUCH a future HOFmer!

  • @megatroll Michael Jordan is the best, period. But Kobe isn't overrated.

  • @spxeli

I personally rate Bryant at #8 or #7 or all time players.

Even if you're an avid fan, there's no way to put him in the top 5. That would be completely ridiculous.

  • @megatroll I don't even have him in my top 10, lol. But yes, he's an excellent player, no doubt he'll be a top 10 when it's all said and done (if he isn't considered one now that is).

  • @megatroll When you say "MOST OVERHYPED PLAYER EVER" you're talking about LEBRON right?

  • that's where kobe learned his turn-around jumper then=P

  • Here's how we take it alright ? No one is going to compare to Jordan , Kobe was the closest . End of discussion .

  • Kobe really learned a lot from Mike. He uses it today and that's why he is the best right now.

  • He was right about kobe lol good eye mjs the best

  • "Well i dont know about statement, i think i was just trying to go out and do my job" *STAT OVERLAY* -- 36 Points , 12/22 FG, 11/12 FT ***

Umm yah..just doing your job huh? ... Exactly Why Mike is the greatest!

  • Nice teacher giving advice to his student...

  • jordan is wack, kobe is wack...ill dunk on both of them all day...

  • @xquickstrykex i agree

  • @NBAfan1993 haha, you can dunk on em too?

  • @xquickstrykex and ill dunk on you too lol

  • @NBAfan1993 cant we just dunk together?

  • @xquickstrykex alright we'll have a dunk contest me you mj and vc

    wachya think

  • @NBAfan1993 sure sounds good, you guys can use a trampoline if you want...jk had to throw that in there ;)

  • jordan always knows what his talking about ! lol

  • i mean MJ has respect 4 kobe & even when i like kobe over him jus for his great carrer & all the amazin games he had & champz he deserves been out of any kind comparisons

  • "feel the defense with your legs" no wonder Kobe throws his feet out on fade aways! damn

  • Michael Jordan will always be the best player in basketball history, in my opinion. But you have to appreciate Kobe's respect for the players that came before him, including MJ himself. This is why Kobe is the best basketball player now and will go down in the top ten of all time when he hangs up his shoes.

  • @lee2he He might. As much as I dislike Kobe he respects the game. Iverson was way better than Kobe and they started the same year.

Iverson didn't do anything to make his game better and now he's off in Turkey and Kobe is the best.

    Practice is important.

  • @lee2he

    top 10?

Top 2 is more like it...

Jordan, then Kobe. What's keeping him from being the 2nd best?

  • they are both from a different generation...obviously Kobe is in the limelight now...but back then, noone couldnt be like Jordan....Nowadays,all these niggas can dunk...aint no comparing to Jordan....His endorsement alone on Hanes, will always be more than Kobe's salary..case close...MJ is a legend

  • we all know where kobe got his turnaround jumper from lol

  • @ajekum kobe already admitted that he learned 90% of wat he knos from himm

  • Well so far I read alot of ignorent comments so just to give my opinion. Kobe isn't michael and michael isn't kobe, two different players with different contributions to the game, so you should respect them both as individuals. By the way Jordan is not the best, if that's the case your disrespecting Bill Russell and Julius Erving because they were good players to. So anyone with anymore ignorent comments im waiting for you to say something stupid so I can shut you down with facts.

  • nd he has learnd more haha

  • jordan is G.O.A.,T!!!!!

  • Jordan was just incredibly versatile. When he was young he was also extremely athletic (dunking from the free throw line)...

As he got older he slowed down, but his game was incredibly polished. That's why he was one of the best even into middle-age.

What really made Jordan great though was his team play.

  • Kobe more clutch lmao yea right Jordan hit every game winner or got the steal or block to end every game Kobe never really does a defensive game ending play does he

  • @87chicharito Umm Michael Jordan didn't hit every single shot to win the game he even admits it.

  • Is this guy famous? never heard of a michael jordan. Hear about michael jackson tho. But this guy is a american football player right?

  • @limahl123123 famous ? what planet have you been on ? Michael jordan is the best player ever to touch a basketball and he's a former nba player

  • @luchadorbig Hmm dunno. Basketball eh? did he play in the cartoon movie space jam? :p sry i never been in to basket it didnt really hit big were im from :p

  • @luchadorbig Michael Jordan isn't the best player to ever touch a basketball...

  • @IZZYRULEZ well it's more convenient too say that. unless your a serious person with a serious stick stuck ur ass

  • @luchadorbig I think he's a tremendous basketball player and probably the second greatest player of all time, but he's not the greatest. Just my opinion.

  • @limahl123123 hahahahah

They say people knew who Jordan was all around the world...you must live under a rock

  • The one and only thing that will forever separate MJ from the rest is his drive and will to win. To this day...I have not seen a player of his kind in any sport...Maybe Tiger Woods. Kobe has will and is driven...but it's not the same as Michael. Put Jordan in any era and he'll destroy the opposition.

  • yepp & u gave him that tip...& he turned into the best player in the game

  • I'm not a Kobe hater, actually it is good to see a player with a competitive drive like his. He certainly got that from MJ. But in terms of skills and even competitive drive, MJ is in a class by himself. I recommend all Kobe fans to watch Jordan's games on Youtube, any game, any year.

"Nothing more beatiful to watch him play"(Bob Costas)...

  • I still got that shooting shirt. People ask if it is a throwback, and I say "no, it is an original"

  • and jordan is right about kobe!

  • god i love MJ!! it will never be anyone greater in my eyes.

  • i really wish i could have seen MJ play. Luckily for me i got watch Kobe Bryant- The black mamba!

  • i never saw a player prior to MJ that has a turn around fade away jumper like his

  • @indeliblepurpose ummm no. kobe does

  • @extremedrew2 He said, "prior" to Jordan. Prior means before!

  • kobe owes jordan some money

  • MJ always a class act.

  • whats all this talk about kobe not having his own game? kobes game is footwork and pulling off impossible shots. he is much more of a jump shooter than jordan was. jordan was more about going to the basket almost every play. kobe's game is all about footwork and attacking the defenses weakness. mj had a great jumpshot. but kobe mastered the fadeaway. even pj said kobe hits shots that jordan couldnt have made, and wouldnt have attempted.

  • "MJ had a great jumpshot, but kobe mastered the fadeaway"

Then why doesn't he connect on it as efficiently as MJ did?

"jordan was more about going to the basket almost every play"

SMH..stop watching his "highlights" & try watching his games for a change kid. His game was as much about jumpers as it was about driving. It's called "offensive balance", something kobe has LACKED from day 1.

Kobe over relies on jumpers, thus the reason why he's LESS efficient as a scorer/shooter than MJ.

  • @blackadam06 YOU SHUT THE FUCC UP

  • @glocsta707

    Learn how to spell..

  • @Cale503 smh.... MJ just talked about giving Kobe advice on how to master the fade (how to feel the defense), but you say Jordan was about going to the basket?!? Jordan was a master of the fade and its the reason Kobe asked. If you're not going to learn from Jordan, then at least learn from Kobe....smh.

  • No matter who gives you tips and no matter how good they are, it doesn't matter if you don't work at those tips yourself and try to perfect those things, they won't really help you. Kobe said it best in his last article in SLAM.

  • kobe bryant and michael jordan are both great they both in a class of they`re own they have scored 50 or more points in three games in a row michael has better defense and kobe is more clutch both are skillful

  • MJ said it in THIS interview. He said "someone did that for me" Every player that comes along has seen or was influenced by a previous player. EVEN JORDAN! How else do you think they generate the interest in playing? Kobe has so many characteristics as Michael Jordan but they play in 2 different eras. Each will go down as one of the greatest to ever play. Both have that killer instinct and both are Legends. You can't go wrong imitating anyone of them. They have both done things the other hasn't.

  • wow..i just think this is great. Look at Kobe Bryant. Who has the determination that he does? No one. Imagine, being on the court with THE Michael Jordan, someone who Kobe probably looked up to his whole life and he was like an idol to him. the first time seeing him on the court and the one thing he asks him is a question on how to feel the defense. most people would ask for an autograph, or anything else. but this guy kobe just asks for advice on how to improve. thats why Kobe will be the GOAT.

  • @44warriorz44 Kobe wont be the GOAT hes on the decline.. but he is a living legend.

  • i guess aint nothin wrong with it because he does have his own way to it and he backs it up... but theres no denying that he does copy alot of things but he backs it up as being the best player so let him be the prince of bball... BUT THERES 1 king MJ and thats of bball not pop.

  • haha man bmchoszen15, it's like your saying you wouldn't want to be like Michael Jordan. If you had the skills Kobe actually has then of course you're gunna get some skills from past players. Who cares what he wears, focus on how good he is and how LUCKY you are to even watch him play in this day and age.

  • LMAOOOOOOOOO!!!! bro imma do all those things and play for my school team imma be called a jocker, by the way i never SAID KOBE SUCKS OR ANYTHING I DONT HATE ON KOBE I THINK ITS FUNNY!

BY THE WAY KOBE BEST PLAYER IN LEAUGE HANDS DOWN.... AND HE GONNA WIN IT AGAIN! HOWS THAT HATING?

I JUST KNOW HE IMMIATES JORDAN FINGER WAVES TOUNGE OUT COME ON MAN 23 24 LMAO!

  • Yeah. He does immitate MJ but, MJ's the best player in the history of the NBA. I immitate him too and I'm nowhere near as good as Kobe is. Michael Jordan would be the first player to say that he used a lot of moves that he learned from past players. That's what it's all about: taking great skills from the past and building on them. We would never get anywhere if we just ignored what other people did and didn't learn from it.

  • @vincentrich good point but do you really have to copy the persons whole swag? Come on really? Kobe is a beast man i dont hate him at all hes the best in the league but really? come on dude even lebron does some shit that mj does and so does tmac and dwade but they got there own swag .style

  • He didn't steal EVERYTHING from him. The last time that I checked, MJ never had an afro, hahaha

  • @vincentrich

    Touche

  • dude he copys mj to the max dr j and mj had differences this guy even celebrates like jordan when he wins a ring jumps on the table like mj... jumping and swingin arm in air mj... hits buzzard shot makes fist mj... tounge out mj... 1 earing stud mj... tone of voice mj... fadeaway mj... pull up mj... his wrist band on elbow MJ

    WTF?

  • these are normal things he always did even wade jumps on the table. lebron jumps at big Z celebrating there EAST TITLE like kobe jumping on shaq celebrating their WEST TITLE.

  • lol that so true....i wish i coulda imitated mj that good =(

  • lol hom manny people can copy mj successs that the most important thing

  • yea, so kobe tries to copy jordan, but why wouldn't you wanna be like mike

  • i like the comment michael said... he dont mind helpin kobe on his game.... i can put a million dollars, kobe wouldnt gave nobody the right imformation they need to feel a player... michael told him to feel they legs.. thats the best advice.. great man of the game of baskeball

  • Is that why Melo and LBJ said Kobe helped them and gave them a lot of advice in the USA basketball team?

  • MJ's got a bigger hand. Kobe cannot learn that. It really helps when you can pump fake with one hand.

  • Now Kobe's 80% of MJ

Kobe has to learn MJ's pump fake and stutter step.

  • MJ way more atheltic body type and way more atheltic player, and there can never be a another mj. but yeah kobes a copycat

  • "but yeah kobes a copycat" you really sound like a dumbass. Don't you remember MJ copying some of Dr.J's game. Kobe copying MJ's game....and? Kobe made has his own style but his game is similar to Jordans. He's maybe the only one who could really copy him. Because i dont think anyone could copy MJ. 1 word = Kobe hater

  • @YHBN

Mj even said there would be no mj if he didn't learn from players from previous generatiosn

  • Kobe talks like, walks like, has a similar body as, plays like, Michael Jordan. Is that a coincidence.

  • 1- He doesn't talk or walk like him don't try to prove yourself a hater

2- Your can't control your body height.

3- When you can play like the GOAT (I dont think anybody is close to play like MJ except), then you take it as an advantage

4- MJ copies DrJ moves is that a coincidence? No dumbass, the game is evolving

  • Dude, relax. I was just saying... Kobe fanboys are so protective.

  • LOL " Dude" "relax" "I was just saying" pls shut up, you sound like an idiot

  • omg what a lame peace of shit. you only know how to act tough on youtube? get a life seriously...

  • U get a life asshole.

  • jordan is jus such a gd player, n such gd at personality *

  • he is a humongous dick, I've met him

  • nope,

  • sure....

    mj goat

  • me too... he has a ego.. but he's koo tho

  • JOrdan is Jordan Kobe is Kobe.. stop the comparisions

  • @xAirJordan23x Kobe = Jordan

  • @xAirJordan23x Fukin thank u dude omg! Im a laker fan and it aggravates me when people keep saying that kobe is better. Mike is one of a kind

  • @xAirJordan23x but Jordan is better tho. Kobe is the only person who can come close to comparing though

  • @xAirJordan23x you are so right

  • @xAirJordan23x thank you you are one of the few sensible people that realize that
