  • I have`t cried for years i just listened to this song and i just cried

  • Hi Mugwamp4, you are absolutely right. There is that element as well, unfortunately. Still, I really, really like Australia and living here. However, I've never lived in the Scandinavian countries, and they seem to have a very good lifestyle overall, from what I've seen on TV, bar the cold weather! But thanks for your comment. I agree with you. Too much fervour and it becomes tunnel vision.

  • yes and lets keep it as it is. Its not a bad place.

  • I remember singing this when I was in grade 2. I'm in grade 8 this year. This song will never get old. I love being an Australian. So any other Australian should be. <3

  • This song sums up what it means to be Australian. We truly are the lucky country and I for one, am very proud of my herritage

  • Good onya Digger!

  • Best country ever...Love Love our country!!!!!

  • AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE

  • God Bless our country

  • AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!

  • The bloke in the back ground at 1:47 looks like he has his bruce rock out! :-)

  • I am proud to be australian :)

  • I and many others will eventually get this accepted as our national Anthem. Nothing expresses the spirit of Australia better. Go the Seekers. Brilliant.

  • When i first arrived in Australia , I had heard this song among the actual Anthem , but i thought this was the actual Anthem at the time (10 years old :P ) Always wondered why it wasn't.

  • This song should be the Australian National Anthem.

  • Perhaps it's just coincidence but the best nations in the world to live, work, raise your children seem to be the old Dominions, Canada, Australia,,New Zealand. The old Empire was in many ways wicked but it left a legacy of civilization not found in a world where women are chattels and the accused is stoned to death without trial. Mind you,,don't pay any attention to me, I'm an old Canadian who still stands up for God Save The Queen.

  • @studebakerhawk57 mate that is an amazing thing to say. im glad i clicked on that version and had the pleasure to read such humble words

  • wonderful land..

  • me too

    best regards from Germany :):):)

  • Lovely, very many thanks for posting!

I'm pleased to say that all of the Australians I've met and worked with so far are lovely people (Rolf included). I've known quite a few: great attitude to life; friendly and laid back.

I've never met an Australian girl called Shiela. I suppose there's still time yet!

  • 1:51 Bunch of hot shiela's and a fat bloke, can't get much more Aussie then that!

  • Good one

  • AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!!

  • "Ich bin ein Berliner" does not mean "I am a doughnut". Check it out of Google.

  • What a beautiful tribute to Australia..My dream is travel there...someday I will get there.

  • I'm a bloke and i;ve just had a tear drop from my eye.

  • Australian And Proud Of it <3

    <3 this song <3 :)

  • AUSTRALIA= MOST MULTI CULTURAL COUNTRY

    AUSTRALIAN AND PROUD OF IT

  • There are but a few nations on this planet that represent the best that humanity has to offer. Australia is one such nation. Speaking as a Yank, if I had to die in the defense of Australia and her great people, I would do so willingly. God bless Australia.

  • @StudebakerHawk57 You're the third american i've ever put on my respect list. thank you for not being an ignorant dick.

  • @StudebakerHawk57 I love you man. I am Australian and i know few Americans who would say that

  • @StudebakerHawk57 thankyou , im an australian and proud to be , thank you for your kind words .

  • @StudebakerHawk57 Aboriginals are still 2nd class people. not so good huh.

  • @47114711emma The Native Australians – Aborigines – and the Native Americans of my homeland draw many unfortunate parallels, and I admit there is much we whites must ask our creator for forgiveness. The world will never be perfect, but the fact you can proclaim your distress to the world in this forum may ratchet up more awareness of the Aborigines’ plight. True, though Aussies are flawed as God made us all, their reputation for compassion and desire for improvement is legion among nations.

  • @StudebakerHawk57 Thank you for your reply. It sounds as tho we are singing from the same hymn sheet. True, we live in one of the "free" Countries in this World but in getting here we (Ancestors) have done dreadful things to our fellow Man. Regards, W.

  • @StudebakerHawk57

Thank you, brother. Our soldiers have fought side by side for over a hundred years. We have much in common. Likewise, God bless America, and let us prevail against the forces of darkness descending on the world.

  • @BlueyM Amen... and thank you!

  • @StudebakerHawk57 Respect brother!

  • @StudebakerHawk57 Well said mate

  • @StudebakerHawk57 I'm a Yank too and I agree with you wholeheartedly. If only other countries could be like this. Australia and her people are truly beautiful. Yep, God bless Australia!

  • @bellydancingnana as someone born here I'm glad you're so impressed ..but there are too many morons in this country who wrap themselves up in nationalist fervour ,who claim we're the best country in the world and have never ventured further than Bali or N.Z

a lot of people really need to grow up in this country.

  • Ich bin ein Berliner!!!

  • @isuckaman You are a doughnut?

  • awesome song!!!

  • @ozzyguy67 Very good point.

  • This is the best Australian song I've ever heard. I'm surprised it hasn't been made Australia's official National Anthem.

  • AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OI OI OI!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ozzys rule

  • @MyKchan - Born and bred Aussie here, but the area where I work could be anywhere in China. Barely anything is written in English, No-one speaks english, I got lost on my way to my job interview, no-one could or would give me directions, I was lost in my own city because there is no common language. I found a cop shop (more a local directional advice centre than law enforcement facility) and they gave me directions, got to my interview 1/2 hour late but they had 'expected that would happen'. !!!

  • i learnt this song 4 years ago and i still love it great job

  • the song is great, but whats with the repeating of the images...how lazy

  • I just learnt this song at school. I love the cores

  • year the first wong tong NOT AUSSIE

  • I feel sorry for the aboriginals..Caus people think they're really mean. not ALL of them are.

other then that its a great song:) Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi!xD haha

  • @BleedingHeartWorld - The Abos are in the situation they are in because people felt sorry for them. It is easier to cry racism and preduce and get money from the Govt than to go out and get a job. My GGM, a full blood was a proud woman who took no charity. She said the world is changing and if we don't change with it we will be lost. My FB uncle still goes walkabout and like he says if the world was better in the dreamtime there is still plenty of room for the abos to go live there.

  • @verticalsmurf id rather give my tax money to first Australians than Muslims who call themselves Australian who seek protection in Australia but really are terrorists

  • @verticalsmurf Abos is a racist term, it's Aboriginies.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE Why is Abo racist? Because someone told you it was a racist to call someone an Abo? My Uncle is a full blood Aborigine, my G-G Mother was a full blood, and neither of them has/had a problem with being called an Abo, it's an abbreviation.

Aboriginie is a global word, roughly meaning first inhabitants or originally from, there are dozens of Aboriginal communities around the world, why be so touchy about the Australian Aboriginies?

  • Comment removed

  • @verticalsmurf I'm only saying. Also, my condolences on your mother passing on.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE ??? My Mum is fine...

  • @verticalsmurf Well why are you refering to her in the past tense then.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE (Giggles over confusion and my dodgy character saving attempt.) G-G Mother - my Great Grandmother. She died before I was born but from what my Mum says, she was an awesome woman!

Off topic, you have one hell of a name!

  • @verticalsmurf Oh, I wasn't quite sure what G-G means, sorry about the confusion.

Off topic, verticalsmurf isn't an extremely unimpressive name either, I tried to put Ohmygodthepickleisalive, but it wouldn't fit.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE - (still off topic) Must be tough having a pickle that doesn't fit...

  • I am an American and have always had respect and a fascination of Australia. Cheers, mate! I'd move there if I could.

And The Seekers ROCK. Judith should be considered a national treasure!

  • One of a few songs that really depict who and what Australians are.

    :D

  • Great song. Grettings from Hungary.

  • @ozzyguy67 dick head

  • @ozzyguy67 go and die in a hole you racist bastard

  • Very nice patriotic Song. It shows people came to Australia, just like they came to America, for a better life for themselves and their families.

  • How the fuck am I supposed to know how faggy a song will be before I listen to it retard.

Typical Australian. Enjoy your takeover by the bogans, indians, chinese and muslims asshole.

  • thats fucking rich.. if you could hear your country from ours...

  • @containsmediumpeople go and die in a hole you racist bastard

  • @pivotDX123 you do realise america is a nation not a fucking race retard.

  • @comedytracker go and die in a hole you racist bastard

  • This song is pure faggotry plain and simple.

  • @comedytracker Sod off, if you don't like the song then bugger off and stop leaving comments about it, no-one cares about what you have to say about the song if you're just going to badmouth it.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE suck my dick worthless faggot. You are just jealous that I have the RIGHT. READ IT, RIGHT!! to call this song what it is. You morons in Australia aren't even intelligent enough to secede from Britain, or even have a bill of rights enacting such things as the right to self defense or freedom of speech.

  • @comedytracker What's wrong with homosexuals you stupid American. Why would I care whether you are an independent nation or not, it just mean that in time of war you have no-one you can really depend on. Also the way you seceded from both our mother nation involved mainly mindless bloodshed, not intellect.

  • the peformers in the second to last picture! ive met them! they were near the harbour in sydney. its weird cos i was on holiday in sydney when this video was posted.

  • This should be yer national anthem, australia fair is shite!!!!

  • wtf? how can you say that? how can disrespect our National Anthem like that?

  • I agree 100% !!

  • @Brucey1976 go and die in a hole you racist bastard

  • @pivotDX123 you are a fucking clown!!!!!!!!!! if i wanted to listen to an arse, id fart ye cunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very multicultural old aussie is, its good, still miss the mountains o scotland though!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im a scottish loon that emmigrated here 10 year ago, im scottish through and through and always will be, but this song makes me want to get aussie citzenship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • O' wait you might have a Maori Wait Staffed Wine Tasting down at Sodomy Vineyards that would prevent that from happening, ya in-mated colonists. Did ya ever hear that having freckles means your part demon?

    Learn to speak American.

    RICOLLAAAAAA!!!!!!!

  • My you're a cheery bloke, Why don't you go to comedy school; you might even get to laugh at yourself. Such a kidder you are.

  • :} thanks for noticing

  • Lol! you do know that America aint the center of the universe anymore! get updated

And why would we wanna learn a "language" that came from the English but changed a couple of words? Nice creativity!!!!

You speak American English, not American!

Just like the Brazilians speak Brazilian Portuguese.

You need to get over yourself!

  • you need to get under yourself and start working on your campaign: JAYJAYPRINCESS 4 YOUTUBE SHERIFF

  • Is that all you got???

You didnt even say anything intelligent. do you know that word? INTELLIGENT?

  • jayjay for brain lord. girl you got it going on.

  • Dear jayjayprincess...America is the worlds' model for freedom and liberty including Australia. Don't be so bitter...she didn't get there overnight and we as a nation wish only the best for the free world. By the way...beautiful song.

  • @jayjayprincess Learn American.

  • @GamerzPro1231 now why would I do that?

  • @jayjayprincess My theory is they didn't change the words, they just misspelled them.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE haha loved it!!! (sorry for not replying earlier)

  • @jayjayprincess thanks (never mind, it took me about a week to respond to your comment because I don't check my e-mail)

  • @jayjayprincess Brazilian portuguese?Yo've just invented a new language!Congratulations!!

  • @victordaniamandi You're very ignorant.

    Go wiki Brazilian Portuguese.

  • @victordaniamandi wow that was stupid O.o

  • @jayjayprincess You think so mate ?

  • @girlnarly go and die in a hole you racist bastard

  • @girlnarly You are aware the America was also colonised, aren't you. By the way we speak the same language.

  • @girlnarly How, also which hand do you use.

  • @HELPTHEPICKLEISALIVE you're in for a uhaul, pickle. i'm with the unilateral committee for biracial and bilingual dingos. we're just spreading the word that ABO is not only a very unracist term for those brown blokes crawlin round in the mud that you so lovingly refer to as "uncle" but it is also a great suggestion as to what we should do with their muts (no wurries, just the blind ones who call themselves profits): ABO ABO ABORT.

  • @girlnarly Hello, I asked a question.

  • You buncha squito bitten blondeschlongs.

Why don't you go have a smoke-o'-peyote out o' your vegimite digiridingo bong. I'll crank up the Barbie, so bring a roo meat paddie that your men at work made on your sci fi fabricated ostrich egg dealership farm, why don't ya? Now ride off on your boomerang to outer space.

  • lmao

  • @girlnarlgo and die in a hole you racist bastardy

  • @girlnarly What is your idea of Australia like, the film Crocodile Dundee.

  • HE CAME TO OUR SCHOOL!!

  • Im Australian!

I love this song and will never forget it

    <3

  • A feeling of national pride that we are sadly lacking now in Britain. So good to see that Australians are proud to be and say to be Australian.

  • It's a wonderful song, very moving and I'm not even Australian. Beautifully sung by The Seekers.

  • I like the words being shown on this, so we can sing along, with much gusto. Many THX lequantum2

  • This song and "I still call Australia Home" are my choices to replace "Advance Australia FAIR". our National Anthem.
