"normal people" i mean, in US soaps everyone seems to be well off, good looking and all that...make it a bit more real...

But I WISH they wouldn't tease us! -cries- Why is it that Europe and Japan (Oh my gosh, best gay movies ever!) and Korea (these ones too) and Taiwan can show bed scenes (there was one from Japan and they didn't even have sex, it was mostly just soft caresses, adorable) but we, America (who is thought to be "open") can't even show small pecks on the lips hardly?

Actually it's the company Proctor and Gamble that owns the show that has the ppoblem. The had a ban on them kissing. That's why the writers kept writing scenes where they almost kissed to get the fans pissed enough to write in. At the end when Noah asks Luke how his family is coping, it really shows how uninvolved he has become in Luke's life. The Snyder's practically adopted Noah, took him in, accepted him as Luke's boyfriend, gave him a place to live and he talks to Luke like they are now a bunch of strangers to him. If he wants to know how they are coping he should go see them. Has he even seen Lily, Emma, Faith, Natalie and Ethan since Holden presumably was killed? It's no wonder that Luke is feeling so insecure.
