  • I VE BEEN THERE!!!!!! =D

  • lol i just started watching your previous video and saw you were talking about esther and nerdfighters. guess you do know who john green is then haha

  • @MedievalPancake Haha, yeah, John is a good friend of mine.

  • @owlssayhooot it's pretty stupid to think you wouldn't know him because i came to your channel because i was looking at people attending for a nerdfighter gathering for oktober 8th in The Netherlands and you were in that list(not stalking you or anything lol).... so i guess you will be there?? (also i almost immediately subscribed after watching some videos :D)

  • i just came to your channel and watched a few videos. at the end of this one, i don't know why but you reminded me of john green(vlogbrothers if you didn't know)... from like 2:10 till 2:59 when your speaking and we can see you dancing around and stuff :P i believe you kinda have your way with words

  • I've lived in Washington my whole life, and now I'm just starting college in Wisconsin, and this video made me miss Washington so much... I love you, Washington...

  • I lived in Washington for three years and I always wanted to go to stone henge, but never made it!! Thanks for the tour it was funny and beautiful :)

  • This is probably going to sound weird but oh well. Anyway, I love your voice and I think you should try narrating audio books. Ahaha okay, weirdness done.

    I love your videos! :)

  • ahh some john green style narration here, i like it.

  • I love wind turbines, they remind me of man's ability to generate electricity.

  • I love your videos so much!

  • I've seen those wind turbines, but just in Oregon

  • The narration at the end sounded like the end of a book.

  • I just wanted to thank you for making me appreciate the side of the state I live on a little bit more. And I got to ask, how did you guys get there and how long did it take? It seems like It would take a long time.

  • Sounds like you had fun! This was such a sweet (and funny) video just what I needed thanks :)

  • My dad and I visited this monument about three months ago! Not going to lie I reenacted Doctor Who. I had lots of people staring at me but I felt they needed to be exposed to something as fantastic as Doctor Who. :D

  • I love this video! You're very insightful and it's just gorgeous and it makes me want to take spontaneous road trips.

  • I've been there! It is lovely.

  • This place looks beautiful. One day, we need to take a road trip here.

  • omggg i was thereee the other day! not exactly there there but next to the columbia river and that bridge.

  • I just love the way Kayley speaks, especially in these Thoughts from Places videos. It's so beautiful and elegant. :)

  • all the points?!

  • Ha, I left Seattle on a vacation this summer. And the entire time I was like" Why isn't it raining and cold?"

  • @AndyIdos I know right? It was a bit odd to experience nice weather, haha. But I love seattle and live through it.

  • First thing I thought when I was stone hedge was .....reacreate the Dr. Who scene. Great video!!

  • Oh you so deep girl

  • What the frick is rock blasting? O.o

  • such a great video.

  • THe end of this reminds me of John Green's "thoughts From Places"!

  • woop woop love your adventures :D

  • my sister has those glasses :O

  • I really enjoyed this video (even with the lack of snakes). May I ask where did you get your sunglasses? They are really cute.

  • If I would do a road tour here in switzerland and I'd drive four hours I would just drive out of the country xD Jup, that's how small it is here :P

  • yes, yes, you are pretty. ;)

  • I'm 89% sure I drove across that bridge!

  • Beautiful.

  • What happened with the rock blasting?

  • It took me a while to figure out that you were saying "Oregon" and not organ haha - with my ears used to hearing the australian accent

  • @ImWellFiredUp I'm American and I thought she was saying "organ" too. lol I live on the other side of the country though, maybe that makes a difference.

  • You should totally have reenacted Dr Who, it would have been awesome :D

  • Looks like a beatiful trip!

  • Wonderful video, I have to say those turbines got to me - in a good way! I'm one of the few who thinks they are amazing to look at and in my town one of fewer supporting the proposal to build a wind farm near here, with the main objection being they'll "spoil the view". So thank you for giving me a small dose of what I will hopefully get to see near me soon.

    Very pretty location too!

  • If you did reenact doctor who and just didn't put it in the video because you didn''t want to make non-whovians watch it, I'd love to see you include it in another video. haha

  • I wonder how often that monument is used for religious practices? Whether the park service wants it used like that or not. It's always been a personal dream of mine to recreate the Stonehenge complex in it's original form in the US. But I am a pauper.

  • @tetsubo57 I do not think it ever is.

  • Haha I've been there before. It is weird to see it from the road.

  • I want to watch your video! You are a awesome vlogger...but can you please make your videos viewable on mobile. : )

  • @OwlKatyMusic I have no idea how that would be done, sorry.

  • @owlssayhooot its one of the boxes under the syndication tab

  • @OwlKatyMusic I can watch them on my phone when I have internet

  • i got stuck on a highway when i was in seattle!!!

  • YAAYYYY FOR OREGON/WASHINGTON!

.. and i didnt even know that memorial existed! haha

  • I didn't even know that place existed. I passed by there every time I went to my grandfathers house in Goldendale. I'm going to have to stop there next time I go!

  • I adore all of your videos. Particularly this one. Particularly the last half. :)

  • I wish I could go to cool places. But 1) I can't drive and 2) I've been to all the minorly cool places in my area :p

  • snake snake snake snake snake

I really liked this video! One of my favourites of yours by far. Reminds me of when I went up to the Lick Observatory in San Jose. The west coast is beautiful.

  • I've been to that Stone Henge!!!!!!

  • reenactment on?TARDIStacucular

  • Oh sure, you like the turbines NOW. =p

  • Maryhill! :D

  • i loved this video! and you totally should have done the doctor who scene. xD i would have.

  • Great video Kayley :) I do wish you had done the scene from Doctor Who though I'd have loved it XD

  • You would be an amazing author

  • @goinbacktohogwarts Aw, thanks.

  • I love wind turbines, they look beautiful in this! (as do the surroundings of course)

I wish more people would accept them so we could depend on them more :)

  • @Kezipoo Well, a lot of places can't depend on them. They don't work in all climates/locations :(

  • @owlssayhooot That is true but they work in almost all environments in the western world where, let's be honest, most electricity is consumed.

  • @owlssayhooot yeah that's true :( but we could still have more, like here in the UK on the coastline.. one day maybs :)

  • Still voting. Great video

  • It sounded like you said "poking organ."

    That's dirty.

  • @widgetboy Or "porking organ". Even dirtier. Hur hur hur.

  • VIEW ALL THE POINTS!

  • come northbound. skagit & island counties are gorgeous!

    :)

  • that...was...AWESOME

So fun, you're lucky to have such a fun friend :)

  • Your friend's mighty cute.

  • @fedaykin6 That she is.

  • Aw, that was cool (:

And omg, 60 degrees? It's literary 100something here!

  • you do poetry don't you.

  • @gypsiecat1 God no. Actually not a fan of it at all, generally xD

  • @owlssayhooot Thats strange. I find a lot of this stuff very poetic.

  • I've totally been there! It was like 100 degrees when I went too

  • Doctor Who reenactment. That's exactly what I was thinking!! Hahaha

  • Aw, I would've loved a Doctor Who reenactment! The moment you showed the Washington Stonehenge, I thought of the Pandorica Opens, heh.

Aside from that, this video is absolutely lovely! You definitely deserve to win King (queen?) of the Web, and I'm thinking about opening another account so I can vote for you more :p

  • An eagle, possible snakes, throw in a Lion and badgers and you get....

  • This was very Thoughts-from-Places-esque. I liked it.

  • Is that silver crackle nail polish? I have that, too! :)

  • @PhoenixoftheDawn White, but it's fun :)

  • @indatica But it wouldn't have been awesome...or fit with the video, lol. Sorry!

  • this video severely lacked a doctor who re-enactment :(

  • Man that looks beautiful! Your so lucky that if you have an urge, you can drive to see these amazing sights... Must be so cool :)

  • @DutchPachaSmurf Well, I don't drive. So...I can't really :P My friend and I just decided to go on an adventure this day.

  • @owlssayhooot :O You can't drive?! But isn't the age that you can start learning like 15 in America?! I would start learning purely for that reason! Especially if I had access to those kinda views if I could! Why don't you drive??

  • @DutchPachaSmurf Because I never needed to & because it's expensive. I took drivers education when I was 15, but just never continued.

  • @owlssayhooot Yeah I guess it is really expensive... Just having a car that you don't particularly drive in can be expensive!

  • I used to live in Eastern Oregon, so I've been to that Stonehenge several times... this video kinda made me nostalgic. :)

  • Girl, you was in my neck of the woods.

  • @JustMargaret Was I?! Ah man. We're NEVER going to hang out :(

  • @owlssayhooot Well, you were SORT OF in my area. Like, I drive past the Columbia River probably once a month, but it's not super close or anything.

And I know! And now you're going to London! I guess I'll just have to go to London, too.

  • @JustMargaret YUP. That's the only solution.

  • I've always loved going on adventures, I can't wait to be old enough to be able to drive/go abroad, although taking trains around the UK is very good fun also. I find it to be a really rewarding experience. (Also, I poke you back on Oregon's behalf.)

  • you seriously drove over 4 hours, just to get a good view?!

btw, what car have you got/did you use?

  • @fatzdepenguin We wanted an adventure, so we went on one. I don't have a car and don't know what car she has...why is that important? :P

  • @owlssayhooot cars are cool, so just wondering which one you used :)

  • Keep making a video every day. That's how I remember to vote, heh. ;)

    *sits and watches video*

  • @BecauseJustBecause Haha, I cannot make a video everyday xD Follow me on twitter if you want more frequent reminders! x

  • @owlssayhooot Aweh, but I no has twitter. :P

It's cool, I've written it on my calendar. :D

  • @tara3466 Aw, thank you. I'll be trying lots of different styles in the next few months. :)

  • June 8th, my bathday... I mean birthday.

  • Shoulda brought Kristina to deal with any possible snakes... Oh no wait, she's a badger isn't she?!?!? Probably wouldn't have been as effective then...

  • @JustcallmeDavner Badgers can kill snakes !

  • So there isn't a Washington Pandorica under the Washington Stonehenge? How disappointing!

  • @MrLilyEvansPotter I know!

  • I've been to that memorial. My family and I would always pass by it when we went on our yearly trip to see my great grandmother. :) Memories .

  • seriously, all i could think was PANDORICA!

  • These are my absolute favorite kinds of videos from you, Kayley. I'm glad you do them here as well as on your second channel now! <3

  • You could see ALL THE POINTS?!?!

  • View ALL the points!!! Please someone make that meme.

  • aww.... you should have re-enacted Doctor Who!!!! :P

  • You NEED to become a writer or a film maker! I absolutely love your videos!

  • Running through snake infested grass doesn't sound that fun, but the Stonehenge is awesome, despite being nothing on the British one.

  • @dontfeedthebearsprod There weren't actually snakes, haha. We just had no idea what could be lurking in the tall grass. For all we know, there were wild Pokemon in there! And I don't think it's trying to compete with the real one. It's a war memorial, not a challenge :P

  • @owlssayhooot a random encounter/battle would be a classic sight to see in the long grass, but would be annoying if it happened to often as we are all to aware. The Stonehenge reference was more to do with the scale of the monument nothing to do with the values or imagery of its purpose.

  • I burst out laughing at 1:36 when you were like "Aaand....What??" lmao

  • I voted for you 20 times today :D (still not sure how I did that, apparently I 'earned' an extra 10)

This was a lovely video, didn't know there was another Stonehenge.

  • @HannahIsUnoriginal When you vote everyday for a certain amount of days, you get double votes :D Thanks!

  • Viewpoint? did you synchronize?!

  • I nearly peed of laughter at the "rock Blasting" part haha

  • Not to be weird, but I totally saw you at Bumbershoot yesterday, haha.

  • @abberz07 You should have come said helloooo. :P

  • @owlssayhooot Are you going to be there all weekend? I would have, but I was chilling in the photo pit and couldn't find you after I was done shooting.

  • @abberz07 Naw, I'm not. :( Have fun!

  • You really should have reenacted doctor who...

  • I've been to the real stone henge, but we couldn't get up close, so unfortunately I couldn't re-enact Doctor Who :(

  • Hi, Kayley! I just wanted to let you know that you really inspire me. I love how you're yourself, and you don't seem to change things about yourself for others. DFTBA!

  • @owlssayhooot You're most welcome. Have fun in London, and when you get back you should organize a gathering of some kind. I would love to hang out again.

  • Are you dating (insert random member of Chamelon Circuit here)?

  • @NicoTheSecondDoctor All of them. At once. Always.

  • @owlssayhooot It was a joke about a tweet you tweeted about a month ago or something. It's the second time you answer my comments weird...

  • @NicoTheSecondDoctor I know that I tweeted it :P It just didn't really make sense that you would ask it here...so I gave an answer that didn't make sense.

  • I remember reading your blog post about this trip, lovely video! the only problem for me is when you said about all the beauty, rather than looking at your surroundings I looked at you!

another fantastic video Kayleigh, and I want to apologise, just after midnight this morning I remembered to vote for you but it counted as Sunday, I missed Saturday! I promise to remember every day and hope you win :)

  • That narration was sort of poetic =']

  • I've seen another video at this spot, did you make one before on 5AG or something? Maybe I'm going insane...

  • @MsMyrmaid No, I've never been here before, haha.

  • @owlssayhooot So I'm just crazy or maybe it was another vlogger from the Washington/Oregon area.

  • OREGON!!! YEAHHH!!!! (I live in Oregon)

  • I've only driven past the real Stonehenge but it looks amazing! I didn't know there was a sort-of tribute one in America and it looks cool!

  • @PotteringPleasingly ...Nope... :(

  • The monologue towards the end certainly shows off some of your literary talent.

  • You have an amazing way with words, and your voice when you speak...well I'm jealous :P Everything you make is beautiful!

  • I'm glad I met you at the KotW gathering else I may never have seen such an awesome video. Stay wonderful. :]

  • @RileyAndCompany Aw, thank you!

  • Come on guys! Vote everyday! :) She can't do this without you!

  • It looks beautiful. I have seen those pictures you took of the Stonehenge and they were lovely!

  • beautiful words and video.

  • I like the thoughts from places-esque video, you captured the area really well (or i liked what I saw, having never been there), will you be visiting the original version in England when you are over here?

  • @0212samm0212 Thanks & I definitely hope so :)

  • @0212samm0212 it has thoughts and places but is not a thoughts from places video. just let kayley do her thing, man.

  • I saw the "Stonehenge" and wondered if it had moved. >.<

  • That truly is a beautiful place. Why they'd build a fake Stonehenge as a tribute to soldiers I don't understand. I'm kinda disappointed that you didn't do a Doctor Who reenactment, although I have suspicions that you actually did and just decided not to include it in the video. It's nice to just get away and see what the world has to offer. Have you been to the actual Stonehenge (I sorta assume you have), because it's one of my favorite places in the world. Just so ancient and almost magical.

  • @Ravenclaw2313 It mostly just had to do with Sam Hill visiting the real one and being enchanted with it. You can read up on why he chose to make it Stonehenge; it's really interesting! I have never been to the real one, no. I plan to eventually.

  • I like your sunglasses.

  • Random Question: What books would you recommend? I am in my second year of college if that says anything about your recommendations.

  • Haha Ramona Quimby Lives on Klickitat Street

  • I enjoy your heart felt moments and slightly feel like I'm missing something since I only "follow" you on YT and not on your Blogs. Your usage of words to make someone understand your thoughts so well just got to me while I watched this video. I feel like whoever gets to call you a friend is so lucky to have someone so intense.

I shall stop rambling now. ^.^

  • @SpoonsRLikForks Thank you very much :)

  • For some reason every time you pointed out Oregon I felt like you were gonna follow it up with, "Hi, Adam!" Thoughts From Places is a good kind of video for you to do - you have a way with words and a tone of voice when you talk about things that's kind of...soothing, I guess, would be the word? I don't know. Great video. :]

  • @sincerelyshaina Hahaha, I should have waved hello to my Oregonian friends :P And thank you very much!

  • Yay! Thoughts from places are my favorite videos!! And Washington looks beautiful, I hope I can go some day:)

  • I live in Washington.... I did not know that we had a stonehenge... :\

  • @meganleef No worries. I didn't either until a few days before I went xD

  • View ALL THE POINTS!!

  • You should have totally re-enacted the Stonehenge speech!

  • Wow, that was really beautiful, I bet you'll miss the 90 degrees weather once you're in London. :)

  • @MissEmziWemzie Haha, well, I only got it for an afternoon. It's not something I'm accustomed to. Seattle has about the exact same weather as London :P
