what is OTA OS? is it the official update or like a leak or something. I wanna root my eris and its on the official 2.1 update and the application says it only works with stock 1.5 or 2.1 OTA OS

ok but when you use the gallery multimedia where there are your images..the normal gallery on all android phone, when you use it, in horizontal mode ...

ok just watch my video about how to : 2.1 on your droid and go to my blog and use the news gallery multitouch from the nexus one (the first link), it's the best gallery app.

No the gallery and music app from 2.0.1 on the milestone are different from the Droid

I should have told you that I don't have a Milstone, just reviewing the choices available between the Milestone, Nexus and the coming Xperia X10, for me it's incredible and kind of stupid that none has an eq as the music part of the phone is one of the most important for me. Just wanted to ask you a last question, how is the music output quality of the Milestone trough good headphones?? is it as bad as the GSMArena review says?? can you compare it with an Ipod or the nexus for example??

Milestone is so better than nexus one for the music...xperia came from sony erisson so i think it'll be the best for Music...and i dont use I...p..o...d

Xperia sound is shit!, if you use HQ headphones there is a hiss, and no native EQ.. I hate Iphone. but the sound quality of it is superb. now I am using a milestone.. Sounds clean (no hiss) but very flat and boring without EQ, so far.. lets see if motorola WORK on some update for this buggy phone..PS: I´ve owned the three phones that I´ve mentioned.. again, in sound quality Iphone is far better. all other things, android is the future.

NOT HACK ! just in the update ( january 2009) came here in france( and a few other country in E.U )we have this new ft...i dont know why not on your milestone in Norway .but i thinks there a way to put i on your device just i didnt search 'cos I have this app ;) sorry for this..

Does the EQ really makes a difference? is there only presets or there's a custom eq as well?

u can customise speaker and stereo headset...you have audio effect preset like : normal , 3D stereo ,home teather, live stage and custom.

custom is : surround mode and equalizer mode

- surround mode : normal , live , wide and ambient

- equalizer mode with : extrem bass bass puch ,brillant treble,vocalizer,normal

voila so not a real custom EQ ,but a nice one ;)

Wow! Mediaflow/flip style media gallery and music player. THAT's and update! And the overall performace seems a lot better, from the application navigation to the notification window shade animation, everything seems smoother than on 2.0... Android, as iPhone OS, seems to get better and better in each version... Go Android!

nice, but you should have tested the browsers too...

I've read the french update got the same bug as the droid 2.0.1 update:

Laggy slow scrolling inside the 2.0.1 due to an error in the framework which seems to rendet pictures and text always at highest quality which results in extreme un-smooth scrolling and lag on heavier sites.

can someone confirm that?

the hk 2.0.1 update has it, does the french 2.0.1 still have that bug too?
