  • i run my ttr 125 with no baffle cause it fell out and busted cause the jackass before didnt take care of it lol

  • the baffle doesn't effect the back pressure in the exhaust, its the screening behind the baffle that does. The baffle is to control sparks from escaping the pipe when it backfires, that's why the baffle is also known as a "spark arrestor". In fact, by taking the baffle out you gain horsepower but expose the tip of your pipe.

  • a soccet

  • yamaha.

they'll catch on but they will never catch up.

  • i dont like the baffle it sounds better with out it

  • Nice lawnmower!

  • is this electrick or not. you can go on ebay and buy a exause tip for 45$. just go on ebay and type in 3D power tip cnc exhaust ttr 125. it will come rite up

  • when i did this 2 screws broke inside...

  • U gotta hear mine it sounds mean ass fuck

  • looks like ur mums pussy

  • your a homo

  • do ttr's have a clutch?

  • @ilovekershaw yes it does

  • Taking the muffler RESTRICTOR out is actualy bad for your mortor because it gives less back presure on the moter but its ok to do it some times :)

  • @coolboy33BMX see how long that pipe is? it hass enuff backpressuer with a 5ft exhoust.

i do it with mine. it runns a litle cooler and gives you more speed and less torqe. Won hurt the bike, actrally it has ben running and starting better without the baffle.

  • does anyone kno what kinda oil to put in a ttr 125l?? please let me kno!!!!!!

  • @latdum stop being lazy and go to ur dealer

  • @latdum yamalube

  • @latdum

the yamaha manual states 2 types. (both 4 stroke) for U.S.A. and CANADA

    SAE 10W-30 SE.

    or

    SAE 20W-40 SE motor oil

YAMALUBE is a brand specified, but many people use others.

notice the "se" at the end...this is important.API must be SE, or higher grade (i don't think they make SE any loner, but sl, sm, and sj are all higher.

yamalube is about $8.99 qt, and we can get stuff from walmart for half..just ensure its 4 stroke motorcycle.

b.c. it also lubes the transmission and clutch

  • @latdum i use pensoil 10w-30.

  • ur a fag sounds like shit with out the baffle on it, if u want sound get a fmf, and on the YZ those are rivits u have to drill them out and dont try to take it off cuz it will sound like shit

  • @calvinkelders Maybe the kid doesn't have enough money to buy an aftermarket pipe..chill the fuck out.

  • @Bl0OdYShAdO well seriously get ur shit right, its fuckin dumb to take the baffle off, and thats not even possible on the YZ.

  • @calvinkelders what are you talking about? When did I mention anything about a YZ? And I never said it was a smart idea to take the baffle out. Your fucking retarded kid. Fuck off.

  • @Bl0OdYShAdOw i didnt say u said anything about the YZ buddy, i said he should get his shit right before he makes vid, like its just fuckin retarded to do shit liek that. The baffle is meant to be on there because if u take it off there will be less back pressure eventually fucking ur motor shit.

  • @calvinkelders Really? Never said anything about a yz? Look up about 2 posts. You say, "and thats not even possible on the yz." So please get YOUR shit right before talking. And also you should probably learn how to type properly. You terrible grammar is straining. And also you tell him to not do that because it will fuck his bike up right? What your point? It's not YOUR bike so it shouldn't matter. Let the kid do what he wants. If he wants to fuck his bike up cool. Go at it. So please shut up.

  • @Bl0OdYShAdOw hey buddy listen here, im trying to tell the kid something, that its really gay to take the baffle off of ur "TTR" becuz ur gunna wreck it, look at the other comment below, and why not tell him that its stupid then at least he will have a bike to ride, and i really dotn give a flying fuck how i spell, i dont get marked on how good you reply to dumb ass people on youtube, that's what schools for buddy, incase you didn't know. You seem to be little on the short side.

• just to let you know on the yz that little round hole is for an allen wrench probably. (just saying)

  • BTW, I removed the old spark arrestor on my TTR and noticed a power increase from idle to redline.

  • hey does this bike have a clutch and i was also wondering what height should you be to ride this

  • @Pipipthadudalydo i have this bike and its a pretty small bike but to up shift you dont have to shift but when you take of you do it also has a ajustabl shock

  • man does that yz plastic just bolt on to a ttr?

  • Half these guys commenting are retards. Pulling the spark arrestor only creates less back pressure, not less compression. You may lose some power on the bottom end but gain in mid range or top end. Rejetting will lean or richen your air fuel mixture, leaner generally creates more power but too lean and you can burn the motor down. That the lesson for today kids..... All you know it alls should read a book and get yer s**t straight.

  • I did this on my bike cuz i was riding with all two strokes and when i took it off i was lounder than all of them

  • its called a spark arrestor

  • Sounds fucking sweet!!!!!!!

  • yeah its something with the valves, but i took mine off and had the top end redone and its pretty fast

  • all yu have to do is jurt adjust the carboratior

  • @TJBaller2296 carburetor

  • the bike looks pretty good and it sounds awsome w/out th baffle on.my cousin has one and he took the baffle off and this friday im goin to get on in martin county

  • acually if you don't run the bike to much w/o the baffle it doesn't hurt it but to much of anything can. i have the same bike and do the same thing haha. keep on riddin brother!

  • If after taking off the baffle you have to rejet it can someone PLZ tell me how to do that!:D

  • do this to my sisters ttr 125 and ttr 90 all the time, sounds awesome

  • gay ratchet. u still have it? can i make fun of u for it? YES!

  • when u take the baffel off it sounds like crap cause its all hollow, i did this for a while but seriously the loud noise gets annoying after a while and i just put it back in. plus u gotta make sure ur jetting is set up good otherwise you could burn up some valves

  • does ur bike have a clutch

  • blow out ur piston rings. dont do it to any other of ur bikes man.

  • a wrench its a rachet dumb ass

  • The baffle fell off my wheeler somewhere on the trail about 4 years ago and I have ran it without it since. Havent had any problems and it sounds pretty sweet.

  • i do this wid mine haha :P

  • four strokes its fine to take the baffle out it won't hurt the engine at all but you'll get a little less compression

  • ive had my baffle out for about 2 years now(garage kept) and it runs fine the valves are still good.

  • 3 things.

    It's a spark arrestor, not a baffle

Taking all the packing out makes it run like shit, especially without rejetting the carb.

And without a spark arrestor, it's illegal to trail ride on state property

  • noo the spark arrester is the is over the baffel so it is called baffle no ur bike also it might be louder but u loose the hors and u will blow a hole in the piston blowing up the engine also i am 14 so ask anything

  • dude taking the baffle off fucks you valves

  • @nervousfuck dude no

if it would fuck the valves all the aftermarket pipes would wich is not the case.Aftermarket pipes have even less back pressure then removing the baffle on a stock exhaust

you just have to rejet and youl be fine

  • That round hole is a rivet, you'd have to cut it to take the baffle off on the YZ, But, yeah, I might just have to take the baffle off of my ttr.

  • just got a ttr125 i love it

  • its really not good for the bike.. it totally screws up your valves. i would know

  • are all ttrs electric start

  • no, only the ones that have and E after the 125 have electric start. lolz :p

  • No i do not think so. There are TTr' s that are L, LE, and E i think.. The L stands for Large (wheels), LE stands for Large Electric (start) and E stands for Electric.. Tell me if that helped

  • the ttr 125L also has disc brakes instead of drum brakes :)

  • lol and what are good exhausts to make a 2002 Honda XR100R like a deep sound ? a FMF Pipe or what ?

  • i have a ttr125 its beast

  • it didnt even look like you were using the clutch

  • i used to have a TTR125, YEARS ago. I dont remember that pipe, but isnt exactly advanced.

  • i did it no mine lol after i hotwired it today lol(i forgot the keys in maryland and i'm in northern paXD

  • That looks and sounds like shit and that is bad for your bike because you have no back pressure..i advise you to get a Aftermarket pipe like Pro circuit or something

  • nothing that can damage the bike, it'd jus make it waste fuel at low RPM but with something like this i wouldn't worry

  • It is a law in virginia, that you have to have a spark arrester in place whenever you ride any motorcycle. It is a safety thing. It also probably does something for the engine. All i can say is, if you get it inspected, or you go to a track, put it on.

  • think imma do that to my 125 ! XD

  • Hey, that was really cool. I showed up at the track today and someone suggested doing the same thing, it sounds way better and even ran better. Have to put it back on for trails though.

  • rachet

  • All u dumb shits are fuckin stupied it is a spark arester and it is not the best for the motor but it is not bad you on the v

  • any way the fag on the vid u r the biggest dumb shit i have ever seen it ia called an ALLEN wrench

  • god damn it y does it keep cutin me off yet agin or a rivit and it is called a ratchet i could not stop laughin wat a dumb shit you need to rejet ur bike it is the same as putin a preformance exaust but all it does makes it "sound" better !!!!!!!

  • its called a ratchet

  • Actually, it's a ratchet. Kawasakis require an allen wrench. Yamahas do not.

  • neither does honda

  • Kawasaki KLX 125 does not require an allen wrench, klx140 and up i think does.

  • The point is it differs, showing that shadow226 is a douche

  • a ratchet? its a socket not a ratchet and a wrench works better

  • lol. the socket attaches to the ratchet... the ratchet is the actual tool

  • @arbpotatoes wrenches are better they wont strip it...

  • its not a baffle the baffle is at the bottom of the can on the ttr i took that out to when i did it the part you took out it the spark aresster and aflame will come out if it back fires now take the true baffle out and omg your ears will bleed

  • with the baffles in my ttr 125 is soo much louder than my friends honda crf150f

  • yes it is bad for your bike cuz it mess's with your exhaust stroke so dont do it your bike will not last nearly as long

  • lol what?

  • oy dude

    i have and rm125

and those things u called round things are called pop rivits and trust me they are the easyest things to take out

all u need to do is get a battery drill and drill in the center of it and it will come right of

  • i have too ttr125:) i like it

  • The reason you do not care if it hurts your bike is your mommy and daddy bought you the bike (is my guess). And it will over time screw up your vavles, but YOU DON'T CARE! Your TTR isn't a packing style silencer, it's like a car's muffler and just ABOUT any other OEM.

The round thing that is keeping your YZ's "baffle" in is called a rivit, and your YZ DOES NOT HAVE A BAFFEL! THAT IS THE TIP, TAKING IT OFF ADDS NO POWER! You have to drill it. Kids like you give us teens a bad name!

  • if u jet the bike it does no harm to the bike or valves.

  • just let him do what he wants with it, i dont think its you whos gunna tell him what to do with his bike

  • it sounds soo much tighter when you take that off

  • "It's a round hole and I don't have anything to take it out" ROFL, rivets are nothing new.....

  • i have an 02 and i dont think it will hurt the bike as long as u dont get anything in it. i just zip tie a screen over .

  • i got an 05 which i have stripped the glasspack from the muffler on my race pipe it is rediculously loud, check out my account i will soon have vids of it

  • with out the end tip on it sounds like a bag of shit

  • u didnt take out the baffell u took out the whole exhaust tip those bikes dont have baffells. u are not going to have enough back presure and you will blow all of the heads and valve

    good luck

  • What year model is that. I've got an 06 125L and it only has two holes inside the pipe. sounds awesome though. And i don't think it's bad for the bike. Just like open headers on a truck.

  • its a 05.

  • OK. cool.

  • i just got an 04 125l and its sick

  • Post some videos of it!

  • subscribe and i will. its in peices in my friends shed. i bought is used and there is a bunch of shit ron g with it so it should be done next week!!! subscribe for the vid!

  • @CorbinPerry4 u Get less power less compression and u can blow pistons

  • @lentzy249 if you get it rejetted for less backpressure you get more power and it wont mess anything up. but i dont have enough money to get new jets. but thats just how we do things around here. i dont care. if it blows the motor ill have a good story to tell.

  • @CorbinPerry4 hahhaahaha ur prob like 13 and daddy will buy u a new one and even if u Get it re jetted its still less power

  • Did the same thing to mine...but that is a spark arrestor, not a baffle. The baffles are the inside the muffler. It's actually illegal to ride without one but nobody is really going to care unless you're at like a public trail or something.

  • Good Mod, Make it sound like an mxer

  • sounds like shit without it... but its whatever

  • it basicly all depends on altitude and back pressure. it doesnt hurt it at all just doing this but over a long period of time it can show a little affect

  • you know your cool when

  • it wouldnt hurt a smaller engine but on some without enough back pressure itll ruin your valves.

  • ITS REALLY bad for a moto????

  • NO.

  • do you get more power if you take the baffle out?

  • somewhat

  • @MOTOSPORT125 bud u Get way less power because of less compression

  • @lentzy249 What happens if you just take the spark arrestor off and drill the airbox out i heard that makes it more peppy but would i lose compression coment back plz.

  • @mAtThR3w it is good for your bike if u drill out your air box if u do be sure to put some mesh over the holes so u dont get shit in em and DO NOT take off ur baffle u get much less compression so less power and u will have less piston life n u can blow a piston your welcome

  • @lentzy249 Next time I'm at the race track I'll be sure to tell all the guys running straight exhaust on there cars/bikes that they're loosing power and will see a increase with some exhaust baffles, lol.

  • @M1911A1 LMFAO. How the FUCK can backpressue effect a 4 stroke when the exhaust valve is closed?

  • @KXRider212 Rofl, see how long that pipe is? it hass enuff backpressuer with a 5ft exhoust.

  • @lentzy249 no you must have shit for brains you have no fuckin clue what you are talking about

  • @TpMxRd21KTM sorry but ive been a mechanic for 14 years i think i know wat im talkin bout

  • @lentzy249 14 years....and you still haven't got it right. There is no way a free flowing exhaust will harm your engine. And back pressure doesn't give power, it only robs you of it. Exhaust gas scavenging give power, which has to do with the diameter of the exhaust pipe, (small pipe = low end power, larger pipe = high end, eta).

  • Sometimes but it can be really bad for the bike at the same time

  • how can it be bad

  • It messes up the back pressure, and lowers torque. At least that's what I was told... You can re-jet your carburetor re-jetted for the increased air flow though

  • it does nothing of the sort

  • @RCdude33 NO but makes a kooler sound lol

  • yes he does

  • its not bad for it unless u take close to the whole pipe off then u loos yor power and you burn up da pston but it 4 strokes u can take it of it wont matter but on 2 stroke you have to have back presure or u wont have no speed or power. dont sit there and say you now becuase your dad bought u a little 50cc cuase you r probaly lieing

  • i did the same thing to mine a while ago haha

  • faggot it does ruin the bike your never going to sell that bike

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like crap still, buy a pipe

  • i dont think its bad for the ttr. should be fine ive had mine out in my xr100 for like 2 years and its fine, and in the yz it dont come out.

  • i mean leaf blower lol

  • thats called a ratchet dumb ass

  • lmao

  • nice jump at 2:46.

  • if you want it to sound louder just put a pipe on it you idiot so it wont do damage to your engin!

  • if you dont have money then what do you do? i put a weed eater vacuum thing on the end of my pipe. it sounds like a harley =D

  • Hahaha, good thing TTR 125Ls are already crap. But that is very bad for it and without the baffel that will probably do serious damage to the engine or carb.. Don't even get me started on what could happen to the valves, haha.

  • yeah its bad for the motor and it takes away from the power because you need the back pressure

  • 4 strokes dont need back pressure

  • nice taste of music in the background (:

  • haha. that is my sister listening to her music

  • the only reason the baffle being taken out is bad for the bike is b/c it can get rocks or dirt in it and mess up ur engine

  • ya leave the baffle off.

i cut all my baffles out of my pipe and welded a tip on it.

    loud as fuck!

    pure straight pipe...

  • WAY to stall it DUMBASS

  • it also fucks with your compression. and your gay cuz u ride a yamaha

  • haha you have no idea what thats doin to your engine u will probobly care when you valves get all fucked up and you dont have a bike to ride plus have the spark arrestor in adds restriction and restriction = HP just hought u might wanna kno that...

  • i dont ride the bike. i have a new one. and also i always have the baffle on. i just took off for the vid.

  • lol yammaha = fail hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • it will get water in it wit out da bahffels dumb fuck

  • Damn, that's like taking the muffler off a truck. Sounds bad ass

  • get a white brothers pipe and it sounds like that all the time but there $600

  • ur gunnah burn ur vlaves..............

  • i did it to mine its sounds so much nicer mines aot louder tho

  • thats why i did it

  • its called a spark arrestor baffle is down the muffler a little bit

  • would u recomend the bike to a 13 year old ?

  • yeh. im only 14 and i ride the yz

  • you cut the cap of the screen that y its loder with the baffle on.............

  • i no. and i took out the packing

  • takin the baffle off wont ruin the engine, but its not good for it because the motor works alot harder because of free air flow. but it does not effect performance at all.

  • yea trails are disappearing because kids are taking the baffles out. buy better exhaust and it dose ruin the engine.

  • Well, I'm gunna be the first to say that I hate the way a bike sounds with the baffle out, any bike!!! It's not good for the motor, not to mention that some people look for reasons to hate dirtbikers, and this kind of stuff fuels their fire!! Put the baffle back in, or fork out some money and buy an aftermarket pipe, more power and they actually DO sound better.

  • i allways have the baffle on. i just made the vid with it off.
