A big centipede has a higher chance of killing any scorpion because of it's quickness. If the scorpion is bigger than the pede and a good fighter then the scorpion could win. But a centipede has a higher chance of winning.
i'm thinking of getting a scolopendra gigantea ? cause i heard they can grow pretty big and they look wicked, so how much do they generally cost as a larvae ? (I want to get one that lasts and i'd love to watch them shed n grow :D ) and how do i take care of em ? And how long do their life cycle last ? Thanks :)

Why give the centipede such crap? I have seen videos where giant scorpions tear apart tiny centipedes and you people think that that is a more fair fight? Both animals are just doing what they can to survive. I don't know why people hate centipedes so, they are such fascinating creatures.
that's difficult to say...I have tried to feed an African emperor scorpion with a small red-head centipede which was without removing the teeth. However, When the scorpion attacked the centipede, the centipede bit the scorpion at once, lastly the centipede didn't die, but it was so weak; and the scorpion also was hurted...so, you can see, centipede is a dangerous "prey" for the scorpion, even emperor scorpion....and after that, i never feed a centipede to my scorpions...
your emperor couldn't handle a centipede? I fed my emperor scorpions regularly with centipedes and always get a meal without a scratch, I noticed when my scorp grabs a pede they crush the head thus paralyzing making it completely harmless maybe because they are wild caught and have been around african centipedes that mine can handle them.
@johnong180 Hmm, An emperor scorpion max is about 20 CM.. Max centipede is about 30 CM. Must have been some small ass pedes... The bigger the centipede the more experience it has in catching pray Fully grown centipedes are known to eat tarantulas.
I feed my Pandinuk Cavimanus with small orange legged centipede, seems my scorp love it, not even a fight only sting it once it grab the pede for few second ..
my scorp also love spider, such as small wolf spider, I noticed that it love to eat spider at most compared to other menu
both scorp centipede, tarantula will try to eat anything

My friend with an emperor normally buy little scolopendra gigantea for feeding.
Tried with a big gigantea and the result was the same.
Normally centipede are not a challenge for scorpions,size by size.
