imagine working with a perfect sphere. of course you'd have to measure everything out exactly or maybe have it professionally made. also, if the bubbles were to be dispersed through multiple tubes connected to the same source and destination, maybe it would have less restriction and make flow of the hydrogen easier. you've done more experience in making fuel cells, but i am making some crazy parts for my car that no one has ever done before
Excellent work! ZFF really made a difference :) Good work guys! Please try brute force but with cylindrical cell configuration - position the tubes as Stanley Meyer did, that way you only have edges on top and bottom (where the pipes were cut). SM claimed that pipes are approx. 2.5 times more efficient - exactly because of less edges. Godspeed.
* LOL thanks :), well I gotta tell ya, covering up the exposed edges makes a hell of a difference, so big thanks to you and your videos, they're a valuable asset in any hydroxy producer's tool box.
Also BIG NEWS everybody. I've got my driving job back again!
What does this mean? It means I'll be gathering loads of Mileage data for this cell very shortly!
My next video will be within the week with first results. Track the mileage data live at my website if you can't wait for the video, LOL.
Looking Great Stu I dunno what that guys going on about with the 30% KOH? sounds like way to much to me. Well I'm just about ready for the true Test I've made my tank it fully seals & I've made a blow off for it as well what do you guys think about useing a tip of a finger off a latex glove and steaching it over it insted of plastic, would it work? Dose it get very hot Stu? or do you think this cell runs colder then other cells you have used in the past?
I've put one on there so will soon find out huh lol very very very soon. Yeah should be right all pvc like yours. The Lid is a bit different, it scrooes over the outside My paint should be ok to witch is the main thing lol "just kidding" hope to see some paint on yours one day lol
KOH. and haven't tested max LPM yet. But the tests you see me doing, I'm timing how long it takes to produce 500ml, so that should give some idea at the moment.
Yeah mine has before. But from the tests, youll see the amps dropping after a few tests. The battery maybe on it's way out, or possibly simply because the engine was at idle the whole time.
My wife just saw the video and told me people would think I was really having a go at the viewers, LOL, I hope I don't have to get some canned laughter sound effects when I'm making a joke!
Thanks though SSC, you're a very wise friend and I only got this far because you helped me so much. I'll buy you a beer ;)
well, Zero will point out that he still has you beat on output volume ... and given that he has nearly twice your surface area, that would be expected ... but the efficiency you have managed to squeeeeze out that pink creation of yours is really quite outstanding ... it seems to be loafing along not even breathing hard at 10-12 amps ... bet its not even getting really warm ...
Not warm at all - In fact I didn't notice any difference in temperature (by touch). The stainless steel bolts on top was a different matter though, very hot indeed.
For my next trick, I'm going to try to improve the efficiency by covering the exposed plate edges with the precious little marine goop I've got left.
Then after I have gone as far as I can down that road, I will increase KOH levels to get up to about 25A and see how much gas it'll produce (whether efficient or not).
So far, yes, although it hasn't been running for long periods yet. It ran for probably 1 hour total today, with breaks between for resetting measuring bottle, and filling up KOH etc.

Thanks :)
Tubes are something I will work on in the future. I have a lot of different projects I plan on doing.

I don't know how hot mine will go, yet, but for building, I would make sure that you assume it will boil.
If your materials can withstand 100°C then you should be ok. You definately don't want it to go that high, but this is the temp I would build for.
MadStu1978 3 years ago
Also, yeah I think the glove tip should work ok, as long it creates a gas tight seal and doesn't blow off from the pressure inside the cell.

Ah! Sorry man, you use KOH. Its are good to, but how strong you make that liquid?
It should be 28% KOH in water you are running cell. It is much efficenty whit 28% KOH in water. If you use NaOH you need 30%.
Careica 3 years ago
28%? seems a lot - I've got about 2.8% at the moment, hehe.
In around 1.2 Litres distilled water, the final 3 tests would have around 24 grams of KOH.
MadStu1978 3 years ago
You use baking soda for electrolyte?
Don't use baking soda! Use NaOH 30% it will increase your production much!
How many LPM it produce?

Nice one Stu, dont worry about the alternator they can put out alot more power than the
10Amp that your using.

some great results ... not sure I can give you any advice at all ... you seem to have a very capable system going there ...

Does the insulation we devised for the bolts appear to be working? Would be a shame to have the bolts melt through the lid.
