Aaaamazing!! Stunning!! Unlike the Americans, Tessa and Scott performed individual extended moves where they were perfectly synchronized!!! Smooth, polished, expressive, dynamic -- they certainly deserved to win at Torino. Go, Canada!!
Thank you for posting... I could watch Tessa & Scott for HOURS. This is one of the most perfect ODs - up there with Torvill and Dean's Rhumba in 1994.
That final lift where he sort of twirls her around - she used to spin in the air in his arms. And yes, they made them change it - even though it's a show lift that doesn't get any points.
I'm sick of the way the technical panel picks on this couple. These are the same technical people (headed by a Russian!) who allowed Domnina and Shabalin to use that stupid "belt" stunt in their free dance this year.
I agree with you. That is quite hypocritical and stupid, too. Besides, they did that lift at the OG and it was fine, now it could be deemed as illegal. Make up your mind, judges! Plus it's a shame cause it looked beautiful. ANYWAY, this performance is so fiery, passionate and perfect - I could watch it all day long!!! :)
i agree with you. why should lifts be okay for the olympics and a month later, suddenly not okay? totally unacceptable. also, the use of those belts should have been absolutely illegal. it assisted them in their sport for god sake... why were the allowed?!
anyway, i love tessa and scott. i heard rumours they may retire. nooooooooooo!! say it isn't so!
i think it was their lift at 1:48 but regardless, they had to improvise one of their lifts a couple hours before they were about to skate. Apparently there were rumors that the judges were deem it illegal. They are just amazing.
@akeela2006 It was the lift right at the very end, wasn't it?! Unbelieveable the judges can change their minds from one competition to the next without warning?!!
@janci99 I love the beginning but the intensity really builds through the V difficult mid-line step sequence. @Alexandu I've not seen emotional intensity from a man in Ice Dance like that since Christopher Dean, as I said in their Rhumba in 1994 and Torvill & Dean's Paso Doble. I'm a Brit and Torvill & Dean were not this good when they were 20&22 years old.
I would LOVE Tessa & Scott to skate for the next four years but of course that might be selfish of me!?

Самый страстный и красивый фламенко в истории танцев на льду! А поддержка 1:50! Сколько не смотрела, не могу понять, как они это делают!

I love how intense they are. Scott is so smouldering he would render me to ashes with one stare.

So they had to change their final lift on the same day? Wow. That's harsh. But they pulled it off.
