  • The setting is so... 1890's. Love it!

  • One of my fav piano songs :)....

  • XD this song is so much fun to play :)

  • This was great! clean, dynamics! this performance s the only one that I've heard that really brings out the impressionism in this peice. Well Done !!

  • I always love a good stein!

  • depends on who is playing, don't you think?

    btw.: this isn't a Steinway, it's a Kawai :P

  • its not steinway, its a kawai.

  • Excellently played, best Golliwog's Cakewalk performance on youtube!

  • The part at 1:16 is an excerpt from Wagner's Overture to Tristan and Isolde which is followed by laughter (represented musically of course). I always thought that was funny. Although I think Debussy loved and despised Wagner at the same time. Maybe because he wrote epic music but was also a supporter of the Nazi regime.

  • Didn't Debussy die well before the Nazi regime?

  • Yup.

Debussy at first was a fan of Wagner, but some of his friends turned him completely in the opposite direction.

  • @rasmusthog He did ;)

  • Debussy died around 1919, I think. The Nazis weren't in power yet...but they were still around, I believe.

  • @agentmabus333 There were no nazis in Germany. Hitler INVENTED nazis while he was in prison (in 192x).

  • A wonderful performance! I love Debussy's music

  • I want what the lady at the table is having, good music!

  • love the piece

    very well played

  • maverlous . you got the feel. bravo...

  • Mature interpretation. I enjoyed it!
