  • How u no what the ship is called and how u no so much about a big lumps of metal

  • The wreck hasn't changed much :)

  • Strange that ;)

  • Thanks very much :)

  • ive been there many times my man tho ive never seen or heard of that

  • It's not really advertised & it's only visible when there's a fairly low tide :)

  • Thanks for the tour! Hope you have a good time in NY.

  • Thanks, i thought it might appeal to you :)

  • I'll sent one to you, if i ever find one, if you promise not to tell anybody else!! :)

There's no escaping the seagulls around here.

  • LOL. They didn't have a lot of luck on that ship did they?

I'm sure NYC will be great thanks, pity i can't come on to Chicago afterwards!! :)

  • Nice, Andy. I always enjoy these! The pictures are very much enhanced by your commentary. Safe trip. - roc

  • Thanks for the kind words :)

  • That was interesting mate! Have a great time in NY, I went in March a couple of years back, snowed like hell!:)

  • It better not snow this weekend!!! :)

  • Cool place you live. that is the same as southport beach, but that beach goes for miles and miles, I dont actualy know the exact distance. that is one hell of a cool wreck. Thanks for showing it to us :¬D

  • I've been told about the sands at Southport, sounds good.

Have you got any shipwrecks up there?

  • more than likely, but too close to the lowtide mark so you dont get to walk up to them...That and the quick sand sorta puts a dampner on any exploring. I have not been there since I was little...not to the beach there anyway...the pleasure park oh yes! :¬D

  • We don't have any quicksand, none that i'm aware of anyway!!, just some sticky mud in places.

I must admit, i'm more of a beach person than a pleasure park person myself :)

  • If I knew where the quicksand was (it is all along that side of the coast right down to morcambe, crosby, formby, meolls) I would be too! :¬D the beaches are lovely over here, you just keep away from the night glowing plancton! lol :¬D

  • Night glowing plankton, now that sounds interesting. I'd like to see that.

I've heard stories about the quicksand at Morecambe & also how the tide comes in very quickly. At least i don't have that problem :)

  • Er you would not like to see the night glowing plankton, I am in Dublin and they glow because of radioactivity....no joke! Because we are just over the water from the nuclear powerplant in the lake district all the wast gets pushed over to us with the tides... but they are very prity! :¬D

  • I suppose it's a case of, look but don't touch then!! :)

  • Yes, you can be standing on a nice open peice of beach one second and the next, up to your armpits in sea water... I like the beach though I keep getting drawn to it, well actualy anywhere there is nature really. :¬D

  • Wow, that is fast.

Maybe you should start doing beach vlogs as well :)

  • Hmmm, now there is an idea!! :¬D I can see the locals laughing at me with my mask on down at the sea front! :¬D

  • LOL I hadn't thought of that!! :)

  • Lovely beach! Have a great time in NYC!

  • It is a nice beach isn't it? & pretty quiet as well :)

  • Very cool, Andy!!!

You'll have a wonderful trip to NY! Welcome to the US!

  • Thanks very much :)

  • I would have thought that such a thing would have been excavated and preserved! But I guess there are quite a few down there! Oh, go get a metal detector! :)

  • Some of the artifacts etc have been removed, don't worry.

You do get people on the beach with metal detectors, usually looking for sunbathers lost money!!

I think i might look a bit obvious, lurking around the wreck with a metal detector!! Maybe at night though? :)

  • VERY COOL! I love you beach vlogs! There's something magical about the water it appears! And have fun in the USA! I will be traveling too, as you know. It must be in the air! Be SAFE!!! Hopefully we can skype sometime when we both get back! Peace! :)

  • I've only lived by the sea for approx 20 years, but i wouldn't want to move away now.

Looking forward to Skyping, if that's a word, in the near future.

Enjoy your trip as well Gary. :)

  • Skyping has become as much of a word as IM'ing has! It's interesting to see how as technology changes, so does our language. Boy, that sounds like a topic for an andymooseman vlog!

And thanks...I'm looking fwd to my trip as well! Pity Chicago wasn't closer to NYC!

  • Funny you should say that Gary. It's a topic i have actually

    covered in the past!!

Oh no, i'm getting typecast!! :)

  • Ha ha!! Nah..you just bring up such interesting topics!

  • Thanks :)

  • I envy you living so close to the ocean. It's so pretty and I love the sound of it. Thanks for showing us the shipwreck. I loved that.

Hope you and your family have a really good time in New York.

  • I had a funny feeling you'd enjoy it :)

  • Do people play in the water much or is the water too chilly for much play?

  • In Summer there are usually people in the water, even though it's not very warm. The British are a bit mad when it comes to swimming in the sea. We have people in Hastings who swim in the sea all year round!!

  • cool, I wanted to see that ship when you mentioned it. great stuff!

  • I'm glad you liked it :)

  • haha it beached on my birthday, but minus 242 years lol

  • Cool :)

  • awesome :)
