Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a bunch of detailed courses for beginners and advanced guitarists that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you and anyone watching this video thinks. Its totally free, and i mean TOTALLY

obviously ur the idiot because it is written that way and Pronounce C ADD 9 no one says C additional 9. it means the same thing but obviously u dont know that.
obviously ur the idiot because it is written that way and Pronounce C ADD 9 no one says C additional 9. it means the same thing but obviously u dont know that.
ok ill keep saying it the right way! go talk to a real guitarist and ask him, hes not gonna say c additional 9.he'll say CADD9 and if ur so dang experienced than why the heck r u watching this video. dumbass get a life.
Thanks a lot man. I am a beginner guitar player and this helps so much. You're a legend. BTW, does any one think Tim looks like Jon Bon Jovi HAHHAHA??
You know, G has a note on the last string on 3 and nothing above it until the above strings. So where he gets putting both fingers on the bottom and not changing them is beyond me.
hey man, sunshine of my love, smoke on the water, all black sabbath songs, all 80's big hair tunes, all very simple, don't write a song based on the complexity, write it on the beautiful sound, and meanin it has, most guitar players, play from thier ass...instead of hearin somthin and lovin it whether its simpl, or fairly complex....Nirvana is a great example.
Great vid. Makes me laugh to see some of the people commenting on here - It's easy to swan along here already being able to play and be all superior and spout a load of shite about beginners. Everyone (including YOU!) started somewhere and it's great these guys are helping people do just that ... START. If you don't like beginners stuff .... don't watch it! You don't get Tiger Woods going to the driving range and pissing himself at YOUR swing, do you??? Keep up the good work guys.
Nope, the C2 and the C+9 both do have D notes, however the D on the B string @ 3rd fret is one octave higher. If it was a true C2, the D would be scored as an Open D string, but with a standard open C chord, the D string is fretted at the 2nd fret to get your E note,in the C,E,G (Root, 3rd, 5th)chord formula. I used to think it was a C2 also, until I scored it on the staff.
This is great, thanks,
