"Goodbye Mr. Lefroy" gets to me everytime. This movie had great dynamics, not only with the actors and characters, but with the storyline as well. This was one of the best movies I've ever seen <3
Thank-you for this video and its melodious music :D I would Love to point out that Love is a give and receive cycle. It comes and goes through its motions of change, yet it is us who decides and directs it to be. I Love all who listen to these words in them ;)
This music is scary, it makes my hair rise on the back of my neck in the parts that were sad in the movie. It's really a terrible, sad, awful, heartwrenching thing to watch love being broken apart. It gives me shivers, and not the good kind. :(
Jane Austin is brilliant! her books are full of emotions! Ann Hathaway was a right choice for the leading role!!!!! It's a pitty that Jane didn't marry him! :(
I love the soundtrack too! but this third part is incredible!!!!
I don't listen to critics anyway because we all have different taste in movies. How can one person possibly tell us whether a movie is good or not when he has no clue as to how we'd feel about it? I loved this movie purely based on the love story between the two characters.
rose garden makes me cry everytime I hear it. especially in the scene in Becoming Jane when she is running away with Tom...such a good soundtrack to an amazing film.
Without any exaggeration, this is the most beautiful and moving piece of music I have ever heard! The film is great as well! And what about James? I guess I'm not the only person on whom he has cast his spell and who would gladly accept him... :o)
The first song is "Rose Garden"....lush and romantic, sentimental and sad, delicate, and yet witty and strong, and all around my favorite in the whole film.
I started crying on Runaways and couldn't stop...because as an Austen fan, I knew how it was goig to end, and seeing them so happy as they were running away together and knowing how it was going to end......oh, i cry everytime i watch this fantastic film.
@hermione838 I know exactly what you mean. For a brief moment, I thought, "They're going to run away and live happily ever after!" But, alas, it was far too good to be true.
@hermione838 oh my goodness I was crying so much alone in my room hoping no one was going to walk in. I know exactly how you feel. The next day I thought I was so silly feeling so sad for someone who has been dead and gone for more than a hundred years. I'm glad I'm not alone so now I don't feel so strange :)
Lol same. When I heard the first song, I almost cried. I've watched Becoming Jane for the 100th time and I still cry. It's an amazing film. Her books are amazing too. They couldn't of picked better actors to play the main parts than Anne Hathaway and James Mcavoy. AMAZING!
i never stop sobbing since the 'rose garden' - really!!
because, their love was 'discovered' too late and too long made live unknown! also, their love ended before it began, - it died before it had a chance to blossom - it ended before it began...
PinkIce, I actually thought it was one of Hathaway's best performances, very convincing. Now that's how i imagine Jane Austen. and this music is beautiful. The harmonies are similar to those in Beethoven's late quartets, and they always make me tear up...
Shame on the critics for saying this was one of Anne Hathaway's worst movies, and saying it was a big "miss". They just have no sense of culture, let alone a wonderful story about one of history's most intelligent and gifted writers! Wonderful movie and such a beautiful and expressive soundtrack.
this music is heart-breaking and james mcavoy is just absolutely bautiful! I love this movie , you can almost feel the love between jane austen and tom lefroy! right now i'm so jealous at anne hathaway , who wouldn't want to be kissed by james mcavoy the way he kissed anne in the woods?!
It seems to me from what I've read that Jane was much more attached to Tom, but that she was more reserved in showing that emotion especially when he left her (as seen through her letters to her sister Cassandra and how she jokes around). And he seemed to have loved her somewhat less than she him, but he did show affection towards her...It was probably just a young love kinda thing for him, but I bet it devastated her.
No one is really quite sure how much they were attachted to each other. Some say they were extremely fond of each other, and movies like Becoming Jane, portray this love to an extreme. Others say that they didn't love each other excessivly. Tom admitted to his nephew in his old age, that "he had loved Austen, but that it had been a boyish love"
I like to think that the couple showed undying love for each other. It makes life so much more enjoyable to go throught it with romance!
i agree!!i have also heard that they found some letters where tom describes his love for austen..but without love or with love the movie was fantastic..james and anne are very good actors where you can allmost feel the love..
I think that the soundtrack to this movie is my favorite so far. Of all the other soundtracks I've listened to, this is my favorite! It has romantic music, sad, happy, whatever my mood is, this soundtrack fits it!
Although this film is based almost entirely on fiction, rather than JA's real life, I still adore it. The music is perfect for this sad film. Thank you for posting it all! :-)
this movie is just AMAZING
my all timee favorite <3<3
anne and james are perfect together
and i also wish i lived in that era !!!

Yeah, I wish she had a happy ending, too.
She really did, though, after all.
Her dreams came true. She is known around the world because of her marvelous stories, her legend will on forever.
