  • i amm soo lost i liike the 60 seconds it was the easy to understand

  • @Killerbite007 do you want mewto explain again?

  • I am in the military right now, and I was planning to take courses of math and other subjects, but I am really just wanting to get math done. I forget which one is more advanced than the other, algebra or geometry, but Im sure geometry is. And that is the class I took last in high school. I have been in the military for 3 years, so that means 3 years of no math. I know it is going to be EXTREMELY difficult to go back to it. Any suggestions?

  • @EricCris10sen It is not a big problem if you did not do any math for three years.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REVIEW A GODD BASIC ALGEBRA OR A Geometry book. Geometry requires a little bit of thinking specailly when it comes to proof part.

but you can do it. Just put little bit of sincere efforts

  • @EricCris10sen thank you

  • @TheVinod43 lol for what

  • can u do 1+22*/34/5674334/2345545*3-34+45

5345-345345*46673242343456456/098765431234567+221457478452255 !!!!!!!!!!no using calculator. u have 20 sec

  • where r u from?

  • @MrAdex10 originally from India

  • i would never understand if i were your student!

  • @MrAdex10 I strongly disagree with you,it's sooooo easy,it would be a shame if a student wouldn't understand it...

  • anyone wish to comment why he added (a-b)^2 instead of subtracting it from 4*1/2*b*a ? i would have thought about subtracting the center Square to get the area?

  • Easiest way to prove the theorem is find a right triangle in real life and meausre. It will conform to pythagorean theorem EVERY TIME.

  • Tank you for your demonstration; we often know this theorem but ignore it's demonstration; this was my case.

  • MATH IS FUN!! :D

  • nice explanation even though many didnt get it

  • Woahhhhh Coool!!!

  • its not really that complicated, all u have to do to really prove it is, make a triangle (doesnt matter what type) and on a2, draw a square, on b2 do this also, now take a2 and b2 and cut a2 in half andstick is on left and top of b2 and u have the exact width and height of side c2. thats how u prove it simply

  • Strictly speaking, that's not a "proof"; it's more of a validation/visualization. Visual geometric proofs are invalid.

  • this is true, but it helps to be able to conceptualize it before you go through algebraically =) They should have showed us this in the seventh grade, or whenever we learned it.

  • i am in fifth grade and know the quadratic equation x = - b + or - radical b sq. - 4a over 2ac

  • wow thats wrong stop trying to think your smart cause your not

  • Let's just say..

"i am in fifth grade and know the [solution to a] quadratic equation [in standard form] is x = -b +/-√(b sq - 4ac) all over 2a".

THAT we can all agree on!

  • hmmm.......now i understnd why this is true. thats cool man

  • Nice, even though I am doing advanced calculus in my first year of university, it's still nice to look back and remember simpler things like this.

    Thanks for posting these videos!

  • how? how is this a fail?

  • u fucking fail gtfo

  • i would never have thought to proof it that way. i'd be lost in algebraic equasions

  • Very interesting!

  • y r u sad!!!

  • that's unique!Great job!

  • Let n be any integer gretaer or equal to 3, then:

    1- for any polygon with sides x1, x2, ..., xn-1 and xn, if that polygon has a longest side, say xn, then x1^r + x2^r + ... + xn-1^r = xn^r, where r is some real number greater than 1.

    2- In the following equation:

    x1^r + x2^r + ... + xn-1^r = xn^r, if r is any real number greater than 1, then x1, x2, ..., xn-1 and xn must be the lengths of the sides of some n-sided polygon.

  • wow 2 years ago

  • sometimes u look like George Lopez...

anyways.. ur a really good teacher.

  • O.o u actually taught me something this time u crackwhore. Sorry for swearing at u in the other videos :D (and in this)

  • Wow this is good, i was wondering how this proof was done back then ... finally understand it SIMPLE AND CLEAR !!! NICELY DONE !!!

  • THANK YOU

    MORE MORE

  • Somebody dial 911, pls?

  • NOSE BLEED! NOSE BLEED! NOSE BLEED!

  • That's a good proof, it goes a totally different direction.

  • hahahahahaha @ "any questions". Smart and funny! Woot!

  • I think the "Pythagorean Theorem in 60 Seconds" did the best job.

  • I have not seen it Please send me the link

  • ummm that was no PROOF, it was basically showing how to plug numbers in for their respective sides...*shakes head* lol

  • Your ignorance is showing. Everything the professor said was correct. How was it "showing how to plug numbers in for their respective sides"? That doesn't even make sense.

  • I think I have my videos mixed up..there IS one video here (Not from MATHPROBLEMS) that says it;s a proof, but what he basically does is just plugs numbers in, but my mistake. And no I'm not ignorant, I'm human and I make mistakes.

  • this video derives the equation, the 60 second one simply shows how to use it

  • yeah I MAY have gotten the two mixed up, my apologies

  • Sorry if plain English makes no sense to you..that's not my problem...and this still...is NOT a proof.

  • I respect you very much. I can see that you have great passion for your students. I just want to give you my suggestion, so you can let your students and you be more prosper.

  • Prof has great understanding and technique to approch the problem

But the visual aid was terribly prepared.

  • sorry but this was my first video

  • interesting

  • lol math on youtube...ive seen everything!!!

  • very interesting, i never knew how that worked.

  • Great, I'll be showing my son this technique -- and yes, while it will probably help with SAT math, it's just frickin' cool.

  • If you like this parody trailer, check out "PYTHAGOREAN THEORM - THE MOVIE" on our youtube page.

Synopsis: Terrorist Matt Damon challenges Professor John Vector (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to solve his triangle. If he fails, douchebag Damon will detonate a nuclear weapon, and destroy the entire world. What an a-hole.

  • LOL, "does ne1 have any questions? no? ok good day" lol

  • wow! that theorum is easy, but I never knew how it works! thanks!

  • woh...that long process reminds me of proofs in geometry :D

  • aw math was my sweet

everything in the world making by math .

thanks man for sharing that video you may help a lot of people.

  • Great video! Thanks

  • wow... that was quite amazing actualy, i wasnt taught that at all, i was just taught the basic a2,b2,c2... thankyou for teaching me that...

  • I remeber this in my math class! I hated it!

  • Math teacher are always great! ;)

  • ohhh....who doesn't now this theorem, i learned it in 9th grade....its simple and easy.

    Eminem ruleZZZZZZZZZZ

  • I think all know this theorem but how many people know why?

  • I think there was an actual painting that was 4 rt triangles put into a square like that!

  • wow great lessons I've learned so much

  • Great! From a another teacher in math!

  • Good vid.

  • Omg, this is good one :D

  • Interesting when you see the theory in that form. Great job educating people who are glued to YouTube :)

  • thanks for the positive comment. I aim my audience to the actual SAT students who desire to increase their SAT Math score though but they are also mainly glued to the UT

  • Well I created a fake audience in my learning center. Nobody was there and I was too quick and said no because ofcourse I did not hear any questions in reality so I had nothing to say so said have a good day. Now I think it is really funny.

  • Awesome video. Great that a some poeple will learn to math plus you arevery funny when you ask "any questions, no, have a good day" LOL

  • This video was added in April, before geriatric1927 started his videos. Yet this is a response to his latest video. Are you trying to gain viewers that way (by posting this as a reply).

Anyway, I think trying to teach people about Math is great so keep it up!!

  • it ws a mistak since the names of the videos were the same so the computer took all the four files as a response Ok. Honest mistake

  • actually I was really little bit cheating to get more response for a good cause and now after six months I get 8000 hits per day on my videos then I was getting only 50 hits per day. What a diffewrence plus I got better too!!! Take care

  • I am a math teacher in the American Midwest and plan on using YouTube to video various lessons for my students as well. Thank you for sharing and showing how simple it is to make a good video for students who want to learn! You are an inspiration!

  • I did not know that I am an Inspiration!!! Now that knowing that fact I am inspired at an exponential rate and finish my videos of satmathproblems. It is simple but requires lot of dedication and hard work. You are the secong math teacher said the same thing about these cvideos. Please tell all your students to watch these to improve their SAT Math scores and they are free!!1 Nothing to lose.

  • Thanks for the comment. Now I ahve 102 subscribers and am interacting with the students from all over thw world and it is working. Thanks to you and youtube for inspiring me and do this work to reach the kids to eduacte them Math

  • Thanks! Though, my teacher explained in a simpler way. Lol! Anyway, keep up the good work!

  • There are over 150 proofs of this theorem. If you like you may find by Gooling them also but I chose this because it is tachinfg Algebra and geolmetry both in one video and it is unique. I lek it.

you may also respond to this video by your own explanation of proving this theorem in a simpler way the way your teacher taught you. I have room to learn and improvement too lol

  • I have a question; why are you doing this for free?! You could be making hundreds of dollars doing this SAT prep! But thank you regardless, I enjoy watching your videos and I am learning a lot. Right now my SAT score is very low however..

  • He means that it was "cool," which is the American term for "very nice." Thank you so much for taking the time to teach in this video. I learned something new and my friends also learned from it. Thanks again.

  • thanks for educating me too!!! please tel your friends to watch these videos and your sat math score will go up significantly free

  • kewl stuff thank you.

  • kewl? what do you mean by that?
