  • I've often wondewred who wrote this song . On the Album it says writer unknown . I always thought that it might've been Elmore James , but I coould be wrong .

  • Awesome playing SRV's tune !

I like your version better than mine.

I'm not much of a slide player.

    Stu

  • I just discovered this video. It's excellent blues - different from your other videos but terrific, too. It seems that whatever genre you use you do an excellent job. You are truly gifted!

  • You really give life to Boot Hill! Thanks for the excellent rendition. Let's hear it for the blues......GREAT JOB!

  • blues3622 - Amen to that! Let's hear it for the blues! Many thanks for the kind words!

  • I think johnny winter wright this song... anyway your awesome

  • RedGuitars94 - Many thanks to you, sir! Keep on playing that guitar!

  • DUDE! I will gladly vocalize for your band. I got this nasty, whiskey tinted voice,......whiter N' a snowflake, but a really black, bluesy vocal. I will gladly rip my vocal chords, (like Stevie did his fingers) to sing in front of an Axe slinger like THAT! Rock ON.

  • 13BrainSlung - Many thanks to you! If you post a video of yourself singing this song (you can use this video as a backing track), I'll edit a new version of this with you in it!

  • C wut I can do.

  • I'd love to hear how that turns out, you guys!

  • That sir is some nice slide guitar, as other peope have said its tough to master, i re-wrote the solo for this song so i didn't have to struggle lol, so good job :D

  • Saidintrue - Thanks! You did a great version of this tune!

  • Great cover! Check out Johnny Winter's version as well

  • slackmaster2000 - Thanks! Johnny Winter is definitely one of the all-time greats! I'm a big fan of his!

  • wow. you my friend, are most certainly an excellent blues guitarist

  • That's very kind of you, thank you! ...and thank you for adding this to your "favorites!"

  • you sir have a beautiful es-137

  • Thank you! It's actually a 135, but I appreciate the comment all the same!

  • Great bottle neck,What's the secret of playing slide.

  • Thank you! The "secret" is actually a little hard to put into words. I was thinking about doing a video on it.

  • Thanks klasek for replying, that would take a lot of time. I would love to see it if you got the time. Most people dont realise the amount of time involved in producing any vid ,anyway I appreciate all your work.Regards ;)

  • keep on slidin' dude regards bluespower..

  • Thank you! You keep on slidin' too!

  • Shucks dude. I've never got my sliding right! Nice vid anyway! Is that a Gibson ES-137 by the way?

  • Thanks! I like how you play, so I'm sure that you could be a great slide guitarist if you want. Good guess on the guitar model in this video. It's actually an ES-135.

  • Man you have this great way of playing really true to the form no matter what genre you choose. This was right in the pocket. Good!

  • Thanks! That Texas-style shuffle has always been something near and dear to my heart.

  • Nice number Klasek, reminds me of Jeremy Spencer in early Fleetwood Mac who was a big Elmore fan.

  • Very nice stuff, all your videos are great.

  • Thank you! ...and thank you for helping to keep the blues alive!

  • I can not play slide for shit! That was pretty good man...you're a great player! I'll post some videos of me soon (once I figure out how to get my camera working with the computer). Keep it up!

  • Thank You! I'm looking forward to hearing your stuff!

  • Cool, do you by any chance know of any good resources on the net to learn slide? I have a slide, etc.

  • To be honest with you, I got started with slide before I even knew what the Internet was (or was going to be). Basically, I learned by listening to my favorite players and making tons of mistakes trying to imitate them. Elmore James is a good one to start off with. Sometime over the next couple days, I'll put up a video that features his playing style.

  • That was really cool, I've always wanted to learn to use a slide, never got round to it. Great job.

  • You've definitely got the talent and the equipment to play some really good slide. It's a great skill to pick up. You should give it a try.

  • That was really good but i think the backing track was a little too loud good playing though

  • Thanks. You make a good point. I did have a bit of trouble finding a balance that I was happy with.
