For all those people in serious denial: Climate change is a theory. So is the theory of evolution. So, back to the basics: the theory is global temperatures will rise a 1 1/2 degrees. This mass change in atmospheric temperature will change climates around the world. Climates dictate widespread weather patterns. An increase in temperature will increase the intensity of some of these weather patterns (i.e. El Nino Oscillation, Northeasters, tropical storms, etc.).
