Thank you. A gift in itself, this beautiful song. Makes one realize the beauty of life, of all our lives, no matter who we are or where we come from. Thank you.
This is so absolutely, magnificently beautiful. I wish I understood the language but her voice seems to carry a message that the soul can understand regardless of language barriers.
I live in America. Its very green here and free and we dont shoot each other over religion. I feel for you though as my father in law is Palestinian. I wish you luck but the waring will NEVER end. Both the God of Christianity and the prophet Muhammad have said it so.
this is gorgeous... I am not religious, but I think chant is one of the most beautiful things ever; an expression of the divine relationship between God and man.

Profoundly beautiful chant...it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for posting this. Happy Naw Ruz to my Baha'i (and Iranian, and Zoroastrian!) friends.
How beautiful, I loved this, and my husband Barry and I will be in the Holy Land on the 12th April, starting our Baha'i Pilgrimage on the 13th. We will have a 10 day Pilgrimage, and stay in the area for 11 Nights. You can listen to my chanting too on if you like.

Dear friend! For this purpose came Bahá'u'lláh - to unite humankind and to remove all artificial borders from our beautiful globe, inviting every single soul to dwell wherever he or she feels happy! Just be confident, the time will come! And I'd love to meet you right there, in Palestine!
This is a prayer for the festival of Naw Ruz or No Rooz, which is the first day of Spring, New Years Day and the Festival at the end of the month of fasting for Baha'is world wide.
Naw Ruz has been the New Year for Persians for thousands of years.
Islam was already authentic, Mohammad (SAW) was a divine miracle that finished the project of god, and thats it, there will be no afterwards of any type of religion that will be as authentic as the sunnah. Islam is what it is, and bahai deviates from the teaching of allah, and what he bestowed onto Mohammad (SAW)
Each time God sends a Great One to us we are given new life, but the Truth each Manifestation (prophet) brings is the same. The Truth never changes but man's vision changes.
The Baha'i Faith teaches the eradication of all forms of prejudice. This chant is in praise of norooz and it is especially wonderful that it is in Arabic. The hatred and prejudice between all groups of people must be overcome before we can hope to have any form of peace.
I'm a Persian Baha'i. I have many Arab friends whom I love and cherish. Some of them are Baha'i. I also have some friends who are Iranian Moslems. Just because a few ignorant leaders in Iran have killed some of my relatives and tortured my cousin, doesn't mean that I should hate all Iranian moslems. Far from it.
Baha'is believe that Muhammad was a prophet of God and brought a Holy Book that educated and guided millions of barbaric people.
Baha'is also believe that God's Revelation will never cease. God has sent Divine Educators from time immemorial and will continue to do so in the future.
Muslim means resigned to the Will of God and I hope that I can claim to be.
I like how Bahai's do not limit the public singing of there religion's book only to men. Women are allowed to publicly sing it to. Giving equality opportunity to women has been a big problem in the middle east. Bahai's understand that and do give equal opportunity to women. Congrads on that Bahais.
Arabic when it is song sounds pretty nice, that is why some people get impressed with islam. But people need to know that is just the language and the sound, not the philosophy. That is why I have 100 times more respect for Bahai. Sounds good and an ok philosophy.
Islam had a civilizing influence which cannot be denied by any fair minded observer.
Power hungry people commit shameful acts in the name of religion and use religion to excite the ignorant into a frenzy to do shameful things, like destroy Baha'i cemeteries in Iran (recently) or kill Muslims during the crusades centuries ago, or to crucify Jesus Christ 2000 years ago.
It's not religion in its pure form that does these horrible things. It's the corrupt among the leaders of religions that do it.
let me tell you what was Islam's influence in civilization:
Islam united the illitrate Arabs of dark ages to attack to civilizied lands of Persia and loot their golds, knowledge, and civilization. Later when the Muslim Arabs invaded Europe they *carried* the knowledge they had learned from the Persians to Europe.
Yes, Islam did have an influence in ****TRANSFERING***** knowledge and civilization from Persia to the rest of the word.
You have to admit that the Arabs who understood the meaning of Islam and were touched by its civilizing influence are much better people than the Arabs before Mohammad (SAW).
Religion has always been the cause of good until it fell into the hands of politicians!

Although I am a confirmed atheist, this is the finest Quarnic or prayer chant in Arabic I have ever heard. Beautiful prayer and beautiful Arabic. It's nice to hear a Baha'i prayer chanted by a native speaker of Arabic. Usually it's by a Persian and they never do it right. They're great at Persian but not Arabic.
"Since Thou hast adorned them, O my Lord, with the ornament of the fast prescribed by Thee, do Thou adorn them also with the ornament of Thine acceptance, through Thy grace and bountiful favor..."
"Grant, O my Lord, that the fire of Thy love and the heat produced by the fast enjoined by Thee may inflame them in Thy Cause, and make them to be occupied with Thy praise and with remembrance of Thee..."
Absolutely divine. Beautiful, beautiful.

Akka and Haifa are occupied by Jews and Arabs. I have been there a number of times and found them living peacefully side by side.
I say Arabs and Jews shopping at each other's businesses without sensing any tension. I hope that you will be able to visit your home in peace. lol.

What is "Naw Ruz Tablet"? Has anything to do with Persian Norooz (new year)???
tosan1 4 years ago
Naw Ruz is the same as Norooz. Just different way of transliterating it into English.
Letters and writings of Baha'u'llah are called 'Tablets'. in Arabic tablet is lawh, or lohe.
This tablet was revealed by Baha'u'llah to celebrate and honour Norooz.

I am not bahai (but oriental christian) , I am not sure I think this branch is a dissident branch from shia islam.
Bahais are known to be unviolent persons.

Hello teddy: the chant is from the writings of Baha'u'llah and the translation is included in the "about this video" section.
