If I had been there I might have joined the protesters. I was there last year when a real speech was given by a masterful orator, Sam Waterston.
Why did Bush purposefully sabotage this event? He knew what was going to happen; he knew there'd be protests. Is it that he just doesn't care? Or is it that he likes to see news coverage of protesters removed from his sight? Do right-wingers become engaged when Bush is publicly challenged?
