@207445 not a chance. a dirt bike with a snow conversion kit will weight around 250lbs so making a real sled around 250lbs is not gunna happen unless u have a huge budget and have a bunch of titanium and carbon fiber.i
@fox13z400 do you realize that a 1 cylinder 250cc engine weighs about 80 pounds, and the frame would be basicly a dirt bike frame, that weighs what? about 100lbs?
@207445 Their's no way you could build a snow mobile (which means 500cc or more) that is less than 250lbs. It can't be done. And if it could, than it would have already been done by a major manufacuer

Absolutely. We went up into Quebec mountains off trail after blizzards and RARELY got stuck running 128 tracks. when we DID get stuck (in ridiculous sidehill drifts) it was WAy easier to extricate than a normal sled. They rock.

I don`t think it can beat a deep snow ski doo rev xp and some other new deep snow sleds.. like 600 renagade x. if you compear snow hawk and rev xp to the track size (with rider), snow hawk is hevyer on the snow(weight per cmxcm).. 60cm wide track snowmobiles are stil best if you ride slow in deep snow..
yea but a normal 136track is still larger than a 121-136 snow hawk track. I have never seen a stock sled with 174? what sled have that stock? normal mountain sleds have 144-164. 136 is a crossover track these days.
i agree the only 174 tracks ive seen is on custom sleds.... 144-164 sounds right on stock sleds, tho, i saw some arctic cat with a 172 or something like that...but i think that was custom too....
