Just on appearance alone the pro-mouse looks far better than the mighty mouse. The black and glass combo the chromey coloured wire (as opposed to just a dangy white wire the mighty mouse has). With Apple's new chrome and black styling hopefully the pro-mouse would make some form of return.

the standard cube comes with a DVD-ROM drive. what you do to find out all about you're mac hardware is click on the blue apple in the top left hand corner of the screen>click about this mac>in the little window click more info. there you go. hope this helped

ye ur prb right, but i dunno, i prefer the design of the cube then the mac mini. i like the fact its in a glass casing and all the tech is in a cube. all you have to do is pull a handle and the whole system comes out. I wish they could remake it, so so nice.

Check to see if your sound is muted before you shutdown , if so then that is why you are not hearing the bong on start up , Lol i've done this a few times , it's no biggy . Also to check the system spec's go to apple menu ( apple logo ) on the menu bar and click it , then go to "About this mac" and it will display the basic into of your cube . To further see what is on your system, spec wise simply click "More info" Well i'm glad to see your having a blast with your cube

Hmm , check your sound preferences by going to apple menu - system preferences and sounds , and then check your output . Right now i can't think up anything else , it might be that your sound card has gone bad , but i believe the g4 cubes had integrated sound cards . But i'll do a little research and see if i can find anything .

Hi DRBUK, i love your videos on the cube, its awesome! The drive will be DVD-ROM because the Tiger disk that for some reason you got with it? Is a DVD disk as the disk image is so big so its wrote to a DVD. The white keyboards also have USB ports, and its not a DVI port, its the ADC port which will fit the old clear casing Apple displays no problem. I never owned a G4 keyboard. I always used the G3 and ADB keyboards.

ye ok cool, a lot of ppl said dont get a new internal drive, just get an externam drive, thing is, i cant use any external drives until i upgrade the processor to above 450Mhz, so when i eventallu upgrade the processor i will buy a external dvd burner. The first upgrades i do in the next month or 2 will be uping the RAM to 1.5GB and then installing an Airport card.

I think the best way would Be an external FireWire Burner (if you can , do the maths betwenn ac FireWire 5,25 cas+ and DVD burner and and bundle)

Toast will be your friend for burning pretty much anything.

My choice go for Pioneer 112 (not 112D which do not have DVD-RAM writing)

btw don't put anything on top of the cube, Its using natural convection (no fan if somone didn't knew)
