Say what you want about or Praise the Exorcist, Night of The Living Dead, Nosferatu, and/or the original Dracula, all you want, but, in my opinion, the horror genre, as well as the "slasher" film, STARTED with Psycho.
@pollyweb1 Really? Do they go into any details? I heard that as Meg was raised in a house without a TV she was totally oblivious to 'Psycho' and the phenomenon it caused and wondered why Anthony Perkins was getting so much attention on set. He took this as a sign of disrespect and wanted her recast - Thats what I heard, how true it is I don't know. Seems a bit hysterical of Perkins to react that way just cos Meg was unaware of how big a film the original Psycho was. Is that about right?
@kamelion7 The director of the documentary wasn't allowed to contact her unless it was about her book.I really doubt she would want to talk about Psycho II.She did not have a good time working on it.
@TheQuentinStuckey Do you know if that was on Megs say so or her agent? I have heard rumours she and Anthony Perkins did not get on AT ALL but she was such a large and important character of part two that I would think it essential to have her. If she is bitter about it thats unfortunate and I suppose we should respect that but I for one am gutted.
@kamelion7 It was probably the agent and yeah I've heard all kinds of things over the years about Tony and Meg not getting along.I don't think she's ever been interviewed about Psycho II.I''ve tried to find articles and YouTube clips but the only the interviews of her that I could find were about her books. It is a shame that Meg might have that attitude towards Psycho II but I thought she did a wonderful job playing Mary and she was very beautiful in the movie.
Wow...this trailer is very enticing. It sure makes me want to see the rest of the piece. Thanks Quentin for the heads up!

The Meg/Tony relationship on set is definitely discussed in the doc, delicately.
