  • Do you have 2 sump tanks?

  • This all worked well I imagine... except did you find that the MINT started to take over the world?

My back yard setup will be 2 years old this spring. Still have everything in one 300-gallon stock tank (the one on top of my car in the picture) and it has amazed me and everyone else who has come by...

  • Apparently something went wrong!

  • Awesome system! We are building our first IBC system this very day, very similar to yours :) We would love to see an update to see how your plants are going. Please post another vid with your progress. PRETTY PLEASE!

  • are you using an indexing valve to fill the grow beds at different times? if so what kind

  • Your system looks really good. Would love to see an update video.

  • Hey man, Great stuff... Anychance of a an update video? ;) Keep us informed hope its doing well for you! Rock on!

  • Nice. Make updates at least a few times a year please.

  • Get some cheap gold fish from Wal-mart.

  • @jkejr The idea behind the fish is you eat them. I am not suggesting that you cant eat carp :)

  • GREAT THANK FOR YOUR VIDEO

CAN YOU TELL ME THE SIZE OF THE PUMP

THAT YOU HAVE THERE IN THE SUMP???????

  • @ABCTilapiaFarms 600 GPH pump but I will need a higher GPH limit when I expand it.

  • waiting on an update

  • I am also in Tn. Where did you find the IBC?

  • I have been thinking about building a system like this for about a year... now you have me inspired to get started on it, I am looking forward to your updates and hoping to learn something about this before I get started.

  • How about using 50 small feeder goldfish (about $5) in the fish tank?

  • @eggnogfrog The idea behind the fish is you eat them. I am not suggesting that you cant eat carp :)

  • I envy your setup ...

I would like to get some tote tanks and build a system similar to yours.

One thing though when you add fish will you need additional filtration cause the water in your fish tank looks dirty besides if I do something like this my Boy's will want to see the fish.

    OUTSTANDING Project ....... Very Informative

    Keep up the good work

  • @dguru469 thanks! No need to add filtration for this setup. The reason it looks dirty here is because the gravel had just been added a few days before this. The gravel sediment eventually settles back into the grow beds. Now you can see the fish fine. I will make another video soon to show. Thanks.
