Hey, good job. One thing though - I see a lot of people making this mistake -- there a trick Katy uses in this song, your high e string is tuned UP a full step. Also, when you watch her play it live, she isn't using that Am and subsequent chord during the verse. It's actually -2-0-2-2-0-0- (from low E to high e) and -x-0-10-9-0-x. Your chorus is a little screwy too, but go back and watch her play it, now that you know the trick, you should get it. Hope that helps!

one thing, I watched katy perry playing it, and I think, uhm.. well at the part where you first play an Am, and then slide to the 7th fret, she doesn't do an Am, but the other chord which you play in the beginning; the second chord, I hope I'm not being too obscure :'D (don't hit me when I'm wrong =P)

its a capo. im a newbie too but i think it basically bars that whole fret causing the pitch to be higher. but thats a guess. i just use it when im told to lol.
