so, they say you can only die from alcohol and benzodiazepam withdrawl. but arrhythmia and seizures aren't technically the withdrawl itself, but rather a symptom of withdrawl. according to that logic, doesn't that mean that dying from a cocaine induced heart attack is dying from withdrawl too?

@watkins35146 She didn't ask him to leave because of income. She asked him to leave because they were losing everything due to his drinking. His drinking killed him. After all the visits to the hospital and the seizures he knew it was bad for him to stop drinking cold turkey. It was his choice and it killed him. She has no reason to feel guilty.

there's a fairly good chance that the body is blurred out due to privacy concerns. there are a lot of rules for handling cadavers that you wouldn't know about unless you worked with them. people who get surgery can consent to have the footage televised. dead people can't.

I'm not saying they should un-blur them just for voyeuristic value, or because we all want to see something "gross." And I don't like TV producers telling me what I can and cannot handle. Most people have been desensitized by fake guts, blood, and violence on other shows anyway.

The problem is that this show purports to teach us more about death, and to make it easier for us to think about and to learn about what really happens to bodies. How can we do that without seeing an actual body?

I want to be a medical examiner so much. Dr. G is my inspiration. I watch autopsy videos, death cases and etc just to know what the job of hers is like. She is so amazing just knowing on the spot what kind of things occured before the deceased persons death.

The information in the show is not necessarily inaccurate. The CDC list is very specific, whilst the list on the show seemed to blanket a variety of causes with each item on the list. For instance, they had "toxins" at #5, which included anything from carbon monoxide to heroin.
