  • People need to stop preaching on Youtube...

  • Only meatheads, jocks, hicks, and religious nuts hate gay people.

  • wth is on his cheek?

  • I barfed

  • aannndd I'm faving this because I just love the animation

  • everything always have a counter part, some say balance of the universe see, light and dark, up and down, outside and inside, ying and yang, hence man and woman. get over it

  • Marriage is the union of two different surnames, in friendship and in love, in order to continue the posterity of the former sages, and to furnish those who shall preside at the sacrifices to heaven and earth, at those in the ancestral temple, and at those at the altars to the spirits of the land and grain.

  • If you think it's digusting don't think about it

  • I don't agree to gay marriage because the world began by man+ woman no matter what ur religion.

  • @MegaJonesy55 -- However love began with two asexual worms. : T

  • How does this have 326 dislikes?

What the heck is wrong with the world >.>""

  • gay people are disgusting

  • @bangbangmatt1 Why?

  • It's just disturbing

  • How about one comment that doesn't include religious debates or a fight to be caused over it? Alright then. Good job on the video.

  • Leviticus, Chapter 18, Verse 22= A Man Shall Not Have Sexual Relations With Another Man, It Is An Abomination, And God Hates That. Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 13= A Man Shall Not Have Sexual Relations With Another Man, If They Do So, They Shall Shed Their Blood To The Death. THIS PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH GOD

  • @07spider123

IT PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH GOD?

HOLY SHIT LET ME REMOVE MY LOVE FOR THE SAME SEX AND JUST CONFORM TO YOUR MOUTH GOD'S WILL.

I'll bet your MOUTH GOD PROCEEDS TO YOU to brush in circles. I'll also bet that you don't.

  • @07spider123 Leviticus 19:28 reads, "You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves... Have any tattoos sinner, how about your mom?

Leviticus 19:19 reads, "You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together... Wear anything made of polyester?

See we can throw out a few verses too ;)

  • @07spider123 .....I don't see people shedding blood. God wrote threats not promises.

  • @07spider123 oh for god sakes. you bible-following Christians are nonsensical. the bible was written by MAN not god himself. most of the messages in the bible have been twisted throughout history and through the dark ages, like how priests twisted th bible for power. then there is also translations, there have been many times that the bible has been translated to finally make it modern English. many messages were changed.

unless god tells you himself, I doubt that most of the bible is true.

  • Leviticus, Chapter 18, Verse 22= A Man Shall Not Have Sexual Relations With Another Man, It Is An Abomination, And God Hates That. Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 13. This Comes From The Bible

  • @07spider123 Leviticus 11:10 reads, "But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you... Have a shrimp cocktail lately?

Leviticus 11:8, which is discussing pigs, reads "You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you... Played any football lately? That's a sin too ;)

  • Well, this is stupid. Disgusting subhumans.

  • @Supermassively stfu bitch

  • @Supermassively if a large portion of the population were gay, over population would no longer be a problem, there would be far less discrimination and people would be happier, because members of the same gender understand each other more. personally, I'm not straight. However, I believe that gays are great. I have some gay friends and I even convinced a friend to show his homosexuality.

the only subhuman here is the homophobic commenter I'm speaking with now.

  • @lindigaro If a large portion of the population were gay, the human race wouldn't survive, and we'd be near the end of our species, because the majority of us would be mentally ill and convinced that human beings are meant to mate with the same sex through a hole meant for removal of bodily waste and therefore will no longer procreate. If that happens, which it can't because this is a mental illness, and those are uncommon and always in the minority, we are done for.

  • This video never served its purpose.

  • Holy... they are brainwashing the minds of our children!

  • @xxsouthernbelle94xx no u are fucker

  • Love is Love~!! We have no right to take away the right for gay people to get married!! LOVE knows NO BOUNDARIES!!

  • @lovely1022 They don't have that right. There is nothing in the Bill Of Rights that says "two dudes can fuck each other in the ass".

  • @Supermassively Haha but wouldn't it be something if it did?

  • brilliant video with an awesome message!

  • 0:28 classic

  • im cathlic and i hate when people are like "I odn't like gay marrige beucase it is not normal" guess what mother fuckers, poeple cane be born with 3 arms or 11 fingers. thats NOT normal. Are you gonna take away their right to be married? are you gonna beat them up and kill them? are you gonna disown them? are they going to hell? no. so why are gay people?

  • Not only was the animation wonderful, it had a great message!!!

If I could still give 5 stars , I would.

  • hahahahahaha

  • Ah...well done, great voice acting and animation. It's a shame prop-8 passed.

  • loved the poses and the timing! very expresive! i want to be this good!

  • some gay animation huh LOL

  • That is sooo adorable!!!!

  • YeEEeEEEEEEeeeeeeEEEEEEeeaaaEAeAEEEeees!

  • lololol.

  • i have 2 moms and i am contantly prejidoused... TELL EM', LONNIE!!!

  • i love the animation n this!

  • i'm gay... you are?!?! YEEeEeEeEeEessSssss !!!!!!!!! hahahaahahaha LOVE IT !

  • Thats right. It is about love.

It's rediculous how many people are against gay marriage; I was so sure there was a little thing called separation of church and state.

Seriously people, if they are supposed to be separated, why is gay marriage such an issue? Love is love

  • XDXDXD this is soo cute and very true!!

  • Fantasticly cute. Ask yourselves, can the government decide who is allowed to marry? No, unless you let them. That government can't tell a church to let same sex couples get married on their own hoity-toity religious soil, and for that same reason it cannot legitimately prevent gay marriage.

It's a farce, it's a violation of constitutional rights, and it's distracting the public from legitimate issues.

  • marriage is more than that. Its a legal binding contract that helps in the application for adopting kids, allowing your partner to receive legal benefits such as health insurance coverage, and lots of things. They aren't even allowed a legal marriage.

  • Great job on catching this before it vanished! I understand how marriage is being viewed currently. What I was insisting was that the marriage they are attempting to enforce is based on religious notions, and as thus cannot be supported by any federal or state law. It's unfortunate that this concept is not more outspoken in the defense of equal union rights, and that various powers that be continue to use our ignorance against us.

  • You're right, it's also about rights as humans in the country that is supposed to be for the free. And a country that also is supposed to be separated in terms of church and state, which means just because Christians don't want us to exist, doesn't give them the right to make us second-class citizens.

  • /Dictionaries and how they need to be updated.

  • No. You're fail.

I live in Canada, and we have legalized it. A few reason why it is fair to legalize.

    Couple receive government tax breaks.

It's a personal choice between two people, and a priest. If the priest wants to marry them, then go for it.

I know in some cases, the priest does not wish to preform the services, and I believe he has the right to refuse.

So, if everyone thinks it's okay, and has made their own, personal decision, what's the big deal?

  • Canada actually does know what it's talking about seeing as we your northern brothers legalized something that should have been legalized around the world

  • @ElHermono no u ritard "fail" learn it, fuckin idiots these days...

  • Ahhhh Canada, sounds like heaven :)

  • @VileGlassPrincess like you? yes DISS

  • @MeiAmazin And you're basing this on what? I never said that the cartoon's message was stupid, just the cartoon itself. It's pretty fucking inane.

  • That was adorable.

    Too bad the thing passed.

  • It died to.

Too bad it's risen from the dead.

  • nice video really cute :3

i dont understand those who try removing things that arent hamfull for others :(

even i hate the human race but that doesnt mean i try to ban it!!! i just live with it like thousend of other people :D

so i say fuck the haters :D

  • Its so cute. ^_^

    faaaaved!

to bad that prop8 thing passed tho...

    but hey!

think of all the other states that legalized it!

    things are looking up!

    :3

  • I agree so much, I don't mean to offend those woh go to church but its all the church's fault, heck religion isn't even suposed to be in contact with the goverment so why the hell are they banning "gay" marriage... >__>

  • Awesome animation! Although it doesn't really address the actual reason 99% would vote yes, it's an adorable little cartoon. :D

  • cool video, I agree. Gay people deserve the same rights, as they are people too. You know, I've always wondered who the hell is always coming up with propositions to ban stuff? Is there just some guy in the back of a board room who hates everything in life?

  • My Califonian bretheren are all haters... At least over 50% of them that vote are at least...

  • I would like to say, that even though I find gay sex revolting, I do support gay rights.

  • All sort of sex is disgusting.

  • sex is tasty.

  • unless your eating it.

  • Comment removed

  • Sex is only dirty if your doing it right.

  • You mean in the butt? :P

  • Anywhere my friend. Anywhere.

  • i like you

  • Awesome. <3

  • Same could be said about normal marriages.

  • Yeeees!

  • Soooooo GREAT! Reminds me of Marvelous Misadventures of Flap Jack

  • Love it!!! : )

  • This would be a great commercial to air on T.V.!!! If I lived in California, it would have convinced me easily! :) Great job.

  • very cute

  • i love this video. :D no on 8! the fight is not over!

  • I support gay rights, but I hate this commercial.

    It's too freakin' cute!

    X[

  • People say that allowing gay people to marry is a slipper slope, but I don't think it's nearly as slippery as taking rights away from people, that's what we should be afraid of.

  • And Miley Cyrus.

    She's scary.

    Gay rights!

    Equality for all!

  • SO CUTE. e_e

  • The prop 8 people are control freaks.

  • Come to Canada, we treat all people with the same rights.

  • Sickeningly cute. Lol. Sucks that Prop 8 passed though.

  • Very well done. I almost wish I lived in California so that I could vote no on this b.s. Unfortunately, at the same time, I don't really want to live in a state run by the Terminator. Now, I know that the yes crowd doesn't like to be called bigots, but what should we call you? Humorous answers are welcome, but please keep it mature and respectful.

  • psh and with the new generation growing up in this hate environment, more will hate. Too busy working on the NOW which wont happen before the new generations start taking over, its the LATER that matters IMO. How to approach peace between the sexualities? fight for marriage? kind of a gamble with these laws trying to get passed against it. and no one reply to this, as much as I care for there being peace.. i just don't wanna talk to it with the youtube community.

  • I still am confused on this. Has Prop 8 passed everything? Is it completely set in stone now?

It horrifies me how I often forget how many are still so ... close-minded? Homophobic? Ignorant even?

Alas ... This is a battle of the generations, I suppose.

  • What I want to know is who really cares? And how much does gays getting married really affect your life? If you don't want to see it, don't go to a wedding. If you don't want to deal with it, don't get into other people's buisness. If you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. You say you are worried about what your kids will learn, okay, but honestly wouldn't you rather your kids learn to be accepting and to love everybody no matter what(which I am pretty sure is what god wants).

  • That is so cute! I'm in an animation class, hope someday I can be as good as you! Really sorry it got passed though.

  • Spreading hate and fear is a muli-million dollar industry. Instead of looking at them selves, people who have supported Prop. 8 use children as a shield against the outrage. They want to "teach" them that gays are evil. When those kids grow up, their opinions will be their own & may not agree with those who raised them.

And by the way, no one ever chose to be gay. But they can choose to be in the closet, causing themselves pain & distress. JUST so others can be happy & blind to diversity.

  • The best part is when he goes YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES.

    Great vid.

  • Disestablishmentarianism ftw.

  • Great video. The animation is awesome and the message right on. Thank you for using your talent and putting this together. Reverse Prop 8!

  • You're just as dumb as my Dad who thinks if I'm allowed to marry a woman, then people will be able to marry their pets. There is no comparison to be made between same sex realtionships and beastiality or incest - unless your intent is to be a rude son of a bitch. (yes, a pun is intended here)

  • you rock, man. as an animation/illustration student and fellow queer rights supporter, this short film is a ray of sunshine on our unfortunate situation. if only it worked out a bit better for us -- but the fight is still on! cheers!

  • I understand homosexuals desire to redefine marriage. I have a relative who is living a homosexual lifestyle and is married. My issue is that I am concerned as a parent that my rights about teaching my child about sexuality is put in jepardy if homosexual marriage is introduced to the schools. I know it is not required, but the possibility is there and I lose my rights if it is introduced without my consent. Guarrantee me my rights and I will consent to legalizing homosexual marriage.

  • What does your right have anything to do with gay marriage being introduced to schools? Hopefully, you aren't still an elementary student, though I wouldn't be too surprised. But anywaysI don't ever remember being taught anything about marriage, gay or otherwise, in shcools.

  • "Hopefully you aren't still an elementary student though I wouldn't be too surprised." It is apparent that you lack the maturity to even have a honest conversation so you aren't even worth addressing.

  • Children already have to get permission slips signed by their parents to be able to be in a class teaching anything about sexuality. Remember sex ed? It normally starts being taught for about couple of weeks in 5th/6th grade. If by some chance homosexuality and/or same sex marriage was going to be taught the same thing would happen. Your child's school WOULD need your consent. If not you would probably still find out if it was being taught and you could have your kid excused from the lesson

  • I appreciate your response. I am aware of the permission slips because I had to have my parents fill them out for me in the 70's when I was in school. However, I am talking about the possibility of storybooks introducing homosexual marriage to my child in a non-sex educational setting where my child is not yet in 5th/6th grade. I am concerned about those risks.

  • And what is wrong with that?

  • If schools start teaching those things b4 sex ed, then they are taking away my rights as a parent to teach my children about human sexuality. Marriage is a basic teaching on this subject. As a parent, I should have the right as to when and what age my child learns about these principles. Legalizing it could impact my rights unless rules are put into place that protect the rights of parents in education. The current language does not fully address this matter.

  • And what if your child ends up gay himself or herself? At least their state be accepting of how they were born, even if you aren't.

  • And that's only an issue when it comes to gay people, right? And they aren't taking away your rights. Plenty of other bigots teach their kids, for example, racist trash regardless of the fact that many schools try to promote tolerance.

Regardless of whether they teach it school, they will learn from the real world. If you want to pretend that gay couples don't exist, then fine. But if they are school age they should know about ALL families. That's basic elementary school material.

  • "And they aren't taking away your rights."

Right you are, this is actually more rights. You now have the right to get with the program and leave your silly religion behind. Join us in the happy future or get out of our way!

  • Eventually though your children will be exposed to different points of view than their parent's - unless they spend the rest of their lives in a fallout shelter with no tv or internet. IMO it's a good thing to educate kids about GLBT issues without parental consent but outlawing gay marriage because you think your kid might see a gay couple one day and rethink their views on non-heterosexuals is quite overbearing. Better not let your kids see a sunset or they'll think the sky isn't blue.

  • *it's NOT a good thing to educate kids about GLBT issues without parental consent* Sorry for the typo.

  • and how does it hurt your child to be exposed to how a notable minority lives around them? If you are a good parent, you should be able to parent your children and have healthy discussions about the world around them, regardless of your "values."

  • This may be so, however, it infringes on my rights as a parent as to when I can sit down to explain this to my child. My values may or may not be the same, but I have the right to teach my values when I see fit. Pushing these values on my children in an educational setting without my consent goes against my rights as a parent.

  • Hey, keeping your kids in the dark is up to you. Homeschool them. But just keep in mind, hate does not last. If you do not have the courage to face facts that we mean you no harm, then so be it. But what if one of your kids is gay. And you have taught them that gay is bad. And they kill themselves because they think they have no other option. You are not raising a duplicate of you, your raising a whole new being who may have differant view points.

  • So now I have to trade in what my values might be because yours are more updated and supposedly better? The law does not define whose values are correct and whose are wrong. We all have the right to teach whatever our values are to our children. Whether my children turn out to be homosexual or otherwise is their choice. I have the right to determine when it is appropriate to introduce that to them. My rights to do that are taken if it is introduced without my consent.

  • Midianmtd. First you have no right to call me a hater. I do not hate homosexuals. Perhaps you have not read my earlier comment about me having a relative who is a homosexual and is legally married to his partner? I do not hate homosexuals. Period. Just because my values might be different from yours does not mean I hate. Choose your words carefully, because I will call you on it.

  • I did not call you a "HATER" and I'm sorry if you took it as such. But you can still be teaching hate. Teaching that it's a choice to me is hate. Teaching that it is a choice that you can be yourself and love another human OR live in shame and lie about yourself for others comfort. I am assuming your beliefs are based on your religion. This is a country where we have more than 1 religion. Why should we have our laws to fit that one religion. I am an American, why can't I be free? Answer me that.

  • Midianmtd, I apologize for not responding sooner. (1) I do not teach hate to my kids regarding anyone (gay or straight), (2) Even if I may disagree with a lifestyle, that does not mean I hate them, reject them or hate their lifestyle, (3) we differ in our teaching regarding human sexuality. I do not teach my kids to lie about their sexuality. Our values regarding sexuality are different and is too complicated to discuss in this forum. However, I do not teach my kids to hate anyone.

  • Regarding the laws, what you are doing right now to overturn Prop 8 is your right and you should continue to be active in it. At the same time, I ask that you consider the rights of parents as well being able to teach their children as they see fit even if you disagree with it. Some may actually teach them to hate your community. That I disagree with 100%. The key is making sure that all peoples rights are protected in the process of your community gaining the legal right to marry.

  • There's nothing to worry about here. No marriage gets taught in public school, gay or straight. Unfortunately, the "yes on 8" people lied about this and mislead you. Prop 8 is about stripping away civil rights, nothing else.

  • Have you ever been read Cinderella or Snow White or any other story that illustrates marriage in elementary school before you were introduced to sex ed? Did you know that had Prop 8 not passed, books on homosexual marriage can be introduced without the consent of parents? Or do you think that schools won't do that because they are trustworthy? If it is 'socially acceptable' and considered 'normal' it can be introduced. Parents would not have any rights to dispute it. That is my concern.

  • If that is truly the concern, then pass a law that requires parental consent before reading such a story in class, but don't take away civil rights. The 18,000 gay people who got married are not responsible for what teachers read in classes. Don't punish them for that.

  • That is wonderful. I fully agree with you on that. Now if the rest of California can get it on straight and get unified, perhaps everyone can be satisfied.

  • PLEASE thndrwagn, get your facts straight!!

We know already that schools are under plenty of pressure to make a safe environment and happy parents. There are hardly, if any, GBLT-type books geared toward younger kids.

No one will shove anything in the face of your kids, and you have EVERY right to dispute it if they were.

  • PistachioMuffins, (1) Traditional Marriage is already being taught in our schools to children who are under grade 6. (2) if traditional marriage is already being taught, homosexual marriage will be introduced as well because it is now considered normal and socially acceptable. If Snow White and Cinderella are shoved into the face of our kids, so will other fairy tales depicting homosexual marriage. If you do not see it, then you are either blind, or you are saying 'tough luck, deal with it'.

  • Blind?

Can you see that calling gay marriage "normal and socially acceptable" is not true yet?

In today's society, gay marriage is just simply controversial and innapropriate. (Now of course I completley disagree, but anyways...)

Nonetheless, it is completely unwelcome in elementary schools as of todays standards. We are simply not ready for this kind of change yet, even in the 21st century.

And let's be honest here. Did you really believe we'd have gay fairytales in school?

  • you do understand that you are arguing a point on a YOUTUBE VIDEO right?

    XD

*ahem* BTW No on Propostition 8 :) Equal rights for everyone is what was put into the constitution right?

  • God, please let this person feel the sting of his own words. And please help him realize that there are gay people not only on his community, but his church too. (And please forgive me if this user is female).

    Signed, Your Agnostic Pagan friend,

    Awseomness

  • What it comes down to, is you have been lied to about my community. And if you want to continue those lies. We do not have any interest in changing the world. But I am an American by birth. I have never broken a law. And yet I am treated as a 2nd class person. Why?

  • (1) You have rights to protest and you are exercising that. You are not 2nd class. (2) I understand that you do not want to change the world, however, your community has been changing the world and continues to do so which is fine. (3) Please see my statement above. I do not have enough room to explain here because of the limited number of characters allowed.

  • I'm really disapointed that Prop 8 passed. It's simply ridiculous.

  • I can believe that prop 8 passed... :( Just when you think we've made a step forward as a society, we take another leap back into the dark ages.

  • Ya know what i think is funny about this whole fighting thing? That Prop 8 is ELIMINATING the right for "non traditional" marriage..we already are able to. Doesnt that mean that if it gets voted down or rejected or whatever nothing in our lives considering this matter would change? So for all the people going Yes, was this really that big of a problem before? Did you go day to day thinking, "oh no 2 people in love are getting married somewhere. I dont like that."

Vote NO. You've survived so far.

  • First off, great video! I really liked the animation. It was an interesting way to address the topic.

Secondly it disheartens me to see the comments of so many hateful people. Saying yes to prop 8 is not about gay marriage, it's about supporting discrimination. I'm not gay and I'm not a Californian, but voting no on prop 8 is important to me because it's the right step in the direction of equality.

I am glad to see so many people who do not support prop 8 though. Rock the polls tomorrow!

  • Even if gays keep the right to marry, they will still only be playing house. Of course, these days everyone gets a prize, even the losers. Enjoy your trophy, losers.

  • seems like someone's gonna be a sore loser tomorrow...

  • To my fellow Californians. Lets once and for all put this Stone Age debate behind us. Lets begin to instill Self Love and Acceptance in all our children, Gay or Straight. Lets teach our future generations to not Hate and Discriminate. Join me in Saying no to Religious Extremism. Join me in voting NO ON PROP 8. Thanks for your support!

  • This video is a preview of what our kindergartners are going to be exposed to in the near future unless we pass Prop 8!

(along with 'Heather has two Mommies' and 'Daddy's Roommate')

    VOTE YES ON PROP 8!

  • From noonpropeight(dot)com, nododon:

Fact: Not one word in Prop 8 mentions education. And no child can be forced, against the will of their parents, to be taught anything about health and family issues at school. California law prohibits it.

Californias top educators including Superintendent of Schools Jack OConnell and California Teachers all agree: Prop 8 has nothing to do with education.

  • A LOT of people are actually saying no to proposition eight, mind you.

Could you really live with yourself if you knew you were ripping other peoples lives apart?

  • Kodyboye1. Ripping peoples lives apart? You fucking asshole. The Gay community is recruiting young boys all the to their destructive lifestyle and you accuse ME of ripping peoples lives apart.

GO FUCK YOURSELF you stupid fucking asshole.

    YES on Prop 8!!!

Save the children from these fucking perverts.

  • Uh, you don't 'recruit' gay people; they're born that way.

Nododon, you're the one who should be going and fucking yourself. At least I have the decency to not call you names or tell you to go 'fuck yourself.'

And since when has a gay person been any more a pervert than a straight person? How often is it that we hear these child molesters have 'wives and children' of their own?

  • They are not born that way, they develope their abnormal sexuality from bad sexual experiences and abusive trauma in their lives dumbass.

You represent a big fucking lie.

    VOTE YES on Prop 8!

  • And you base this information on... What?

My lesbian friend said that she knew she was gay when she hit puberty, because guys did nothing for her. My transgender friend knew SHE was transgender when she was four. What kind of lie is that? I'm not saying that abusive trauma/abuse DOESN'T contribute to that, but does that make them freakish? No; that makes who abused/traumatized them FREAKISH. There's no definite answer for why people are gay.

  • It is a well known fact that the professions have had to withdraw their position on homosexuality due to political pressure. Any psychologist will tell you (after a few beers) that homosexuality is a mental problem that involves a compulsive disorder similar to a kleptomaniac. It is a fixation of an abnormal sexual urge brought on by various experiences including: how a person is raised, sexual abuse, no father, abusive father, teenage sexual experimentation, and

    emotional abuse.
