deathcore = metallic hardcore with extreme death metal leanings and more brutal vocals.

To the people trying to define the band's genre.  They're a hardcore band, they incorporated metal riffs and solos and dark imagery. Bands who would later be dubbed metalcore (Hatebreed, All Out War, etc) often cite them as an influence. The term metalcore didn't even exist during Integrity's heyday.

I call them hardcore, too. I would say the Cro-Mags were the first big crossover band, but D.R.I. and Anthrax were at it too in the 80s.

Not trying to be an ass or start an argument, but this is practically the dictionary definition of metalcore. The dictionary definition of hardcore would be something more like early Slapshot or SSD. 

That said, everyone's got their own definitions of ______core, so to each his own. This just coming from someone who was there for the births (and deaths) of just about every ______core out there :) Peace out!
