@JacktheFisherman Most necks are built the same - 1/4" fingerboard, 1" overall height. But there may be variances by a thousandth of a inch. In that video the mighty might necks were all 9.5" radius & the maple Allparts was a 7.25 radius. The truss rod would account for the thousandth of a inch differences, but you would have to adjust saddles for intonation and string height. But in layman's terms, yes, you just slap them on there. I have 4 MM necks that I can swap in & out.
I have been looking on ebay for a 70´s strat neck, a reissue perhaps, and they are about 329 bucks at least and that includes "F" tuners as well, do u know any place that are cheaper.. ?
@dividedbyjames; Thats Awesome.. but i live in europe and they dont ship international.. ::( that would be a great neck for my project, thats for sure..
@richogem sorry, i got them all planned out for use on my builds. But I watch auctions on ebay all the time, and I recommend getting them there. Sometimes I can score a Mighty Might around $70...otherwise I buy them new from a dealer for $90. The allparts and Fender necks will run over $150 sometimes, but if you're lucky you can get them for about $125.
@dividedbyjames It's funny, because I went and looked at some of my vids and I do it too!!! all I know is if my english teacher heard me talking she'd probly back hand me!!!! :)
Now can you just slap one of those in there, or does it take some truss work to make it playable?
