A friend, saddened by the death of Stuart Kaminsky suggested I discover his genius by starting with the Lew Fonesca series. We live in the Sarasota FL area, and this series was perfect for me. I'm so happy to have a new "favorite" author. He deserves whataever honor you can give him. Good luck with the video.
I just found out he died. The first thing I tought of was how Rostnikov, my favorite detective, was going to have no more adventures. R.I.P. Mr. Kaminsky, you were among the greatest.
Stuart was one of the finest writers I've ever known or read. I traded emails back and forth with this great master of mystery for many years. The last time we "talked" was in a few email exchanges about the time Emmett Kelly Jr. passed away. Stuart shared about his life long fear of clowns. My wife, my son and I feel as if we've lost a friend.
Stuart has been a terrific mentor. He'll live on in his words, but we are sad to lose this prodigious talent!
One of the best and most prolific mystery writers in America. So sorry to know he's gone. But what a great storyteller. Thaks for posting this!
