Well, they put on one of the best fireworks shows in the country, but they have not put on very good Thanksgiving Day parades in years... mostly just all balloon floats, which gets boring. Other cities have much more elaborate & artistic floats. Anyway, great fireworks.

It's not spelled wrong, it's a word joke. Forth has i.e. these meanings: "forward in time or order or degree" , "from a particular thing or place or position" or "out into view". So they've put July 4th (or the 4th of July) out into view.
