I will be getting the sling this week I have been waiting for somthing like this, I am really not into bench shooting and this thing will be perfict for standig and shooting and it will give you support for much better aim.
The sling doesn't extend by pushing forward on the weapon. Good point though. I own one, attached to my 870. Excellent sling, used by our local SWAT team. I love it, and will put one on my AR and any other weapon that needs a sling. They also make adapters for full-stock weapons that don't have sling mounts.
Does the sling allow lengthening if you apply enough force on the weapon instead of pulling the tab?
What if your in a firefight and you need to switch from one shoulder to another or your weapon is snug close to your body and you need to bring it up fast... people forget things when they are under pressure, no matter how well trained.
