@orhugs it's a game on ps3 and XBOX 360 made by rockstar. The story of that game is all about a detective in 1947, you're solving crimes... Everything is classic! :D
My mom got in trouble once for playing this on the church organ - the organ was connected to the church bells, so the whole neighborhood was treated to Hey! Ba-Ba-Re-Bop via the church bells until my grandmother got to the church to terminate Mom's concert!!
Just bought a copy of this at a local garage sale for 10 cents. And now I'm hearing what it sounds like through youtube because I have no way of playing vinyl
10 years b4 r.n.r exploded on the world....goes to show, r.r. started a long time b4....just under a different name and in a diff form...wonderfull. (and i love all r.n.r/r.&b, but this blows me away ) !!!!!
I am kind of surprised the stand up bass comes through so clear on such a primitive recording....listen to it......it drives right through to the forfront of the song
Holy shit,i know that Lionels music and talent and persona and energy are the bomb but this song killed me,what trumpet and clarinet solos,wOw!Im a lil high now and these solos took my off my feet!Heeeey-ba-ba-re-bop!!!
"Was Lional on the clarinet?" Herbie Fields was. Only "white" guy in Hampton's band at the time. Lionel did play saxophone on stage sometimes with this band.
Alas no, because I do not know how to post. It's as simple as that. Plus I don't know how to convert from cassette tape to disital on the Net. A pity, because I have a large vibyl collection !

Advantage of a stand up bass, has a much more permeating sound.
Amityrockstarx 2 years ago
It is cutting through really nicely. It seems like at times the bass line of the piano and the bass drum are helping to bring it out as well.
